Drampa surely appreciates the rest, as Millie walks through the woods, accompanied by her two new Fluttermice, who chatter and/or gently bicker throughout the journey. The wind is gentle, trees sheltering her from the worst of the breeze, as she makes her way to the city on her map.
Most of the things seem to have winded down for the winter, and that which hasn't doesn't seem to want to disturb her - it's simply rustles in the bushes running away. After a nice, peaceful - if cold - day, Mica makes it to the city close to sundown. It's still decently early, admittedly, but things are beginning to get dark. The plusle and Minun have decided to take turns perching on her shoulder and riding (there was a bit of an argument over who went first), and seem to gaze in awe at the town.
Just like in the last place, there looks to be a large portion of the town set aside for boats and other associated amenities, even from this distance. And somewhere in there, so she's been told, is the Pokémon Laboratory. Also places to warm up after a long day's walking. And sleep.

A hot meal first, of that she was certain, maybe an equally hot or hotter shower. A fight with Polaris and several days of travel, and she was beginning to feel a little ripe. The Fluttermice were nice companions, but she missed Ham a little bit, and Taffy, and a lot of her other friends. Maybe some time playing with them after the lab, and before bed.

Mica's easily able to find where the Center is, and rest up. There's not too many other Trainers there, which the Attendant makes note of when she shows her ID to be able to use the facilities. "Man," he says, "you must be pretty brave there to go be a Trainer out in this weather. Most of the time stuff slows to a crawl in this half of the year. Get a few foreign people coming and going because of the shipyard, but most people are just those with Ownership Permits getting their 'mon all healed. Planning to stay here long? Or are you going to brave the snows? Because they're supposed to reach down here in the next few weeks. ...not that there's really that much to do here, League-wise, I guess. Just the Lab. And that place hasn't been the same ever since the head Professor chick went missing. Wonder if she's all right... it's been so long..."

"She'll be alright, she has to be with so many people worrying about her." Mica offered quietly, scratching behind her ear. "I was planning to stop by the lab later, then heading north again." There was a pause, and she cradled Drampa's ball between her hands. "Hey, I know Dragon-Type Pokemon don't like ice attacks, but will my Drampa be okay to take me where I need to go if it snows? I wouldn't want to put his health in danger, and he really means a lot to me..."

"Pretty sure," the attendant says, nodding. "As long as it's not pelting hail and all. If you're not in danger of dying, they aren't either. They're tough cookies." He grins. "You have a lot of them that live up high in the mountains, or far up in the skies, where it's freezing. I can't imagine living around a bunch of stuff that can really hurt you, but they manage."
"You must be a strong one yourself, too," he says, "having a friend like that. I'm sure he'll be just fine with you looking out for him. If you're that worried, though, you might think about taking one of the boats northwards. Strait's still clear and all, and while the cabins ain't the most comfortable thing, they're still warm. Won't help if you're going northwest, but gets you to one of the big cities. They've got good food there. Keep meaning to visit again."
"For visiting the lab, you might want to wait until tomorrow. They usually mostly close up shop fairly early, probably have mostly gone home already. Especially this time of year. Rather than going out again, I might suggest curling up with a cup of cocoa in the lounge, just relaxing with a book or movie or something. Probably won't be disturbed. Not many people here right now."

"That sounds..." Mica hesitated for a moment. Lives were still in danger, she still had a job to do, but with temple speeds, travel, snow and stress... their timeline wasn't months to finish. It probably never was. It was years. "Well... if I could have all my Pokemon friends out with me... like a wonderful time. They'll be well behaved... could I? It's been such a long time since I just played a little and enjoyed myself..."

"Of course, yes," The man says. "As long as they don't wreck up the place - or are too big... sorry, Onixes of the world - they're always welcome in here. And you've got easy access to them all right here." He smiles, gesturing at the PC. "Let me know if you need anything, okay? Otherwise, I'll just be over here reading, but I'm happy to help."

Drampa being a bit too large (and probably old) to play, Mica's evening is spent catching up. Indulgence is the word, sharing cocoa with Apex, and showing him how strong she's gotten. Carrying around Spot on her head and Taffy on her shoulders like old times while flitting from task to task. The girl tries to get her voice in tune with Tot's instruction but it never quite finds the right measure.
When at last she flags, Mica is hardly visible under a small pile of Pokemon, a blanket draped over top of herself. Dusty sleeps atop her on the couch, Ham sprawled beside her, Apex acting as a wiry pillow, Delcatty and Linoone rest across her legs.

Mica wakes up to delicate paws kneading at her, and the insistent nyaaaa of a hungry Delcatty perched on top of the rest of the pile of fluff that she's enveloped in. Dusty flutters irritably, wings making a shimmering noise, but that doesn't seem to dissuade the cat from balancing partly on her back.
Looking around as she awakes, it looks like the Center is still fairly empty, with just another Attendant at the desk - a girl, this time, who gives a small wave and a smile as she notices Millie awake.
Light streams in from the outside, bright, promising a nice, crisp, cloudless day. It seems like it snowed a little overnight, coating the ground in a few centimeters of cold cotton.

Yawning and scrubbing the sleep from her eyes, Millie hadn't remembered the last time she had slept so well in a building. She fed her sleeping companiond and broke her fast with them, engaged in her morning training in the chilly air alongside her battling team, and headed for the lab with a bit more spring in her step.

Though spring is in her step, fall or winter sure is in the air, with the crisp chill wind blowing over the wet snow. It looks like it was just a brief precipitation, though, as the air is clear, and the sun heatlessly shining over the glistening town.
People bustle quickly around, the scraping of snow shovels omnipresent, until at last she reaches the laboratory area. Here, at least, there's not been much clearing. Just a little path up to the front - the rest is all natural snow.
Entering, the lab seems to be a mixture of organization and chaos. The first half of the expansive room is fairly organized, with a waiting area all set up. But, after getting past the empty (of clutter, at least) reception desk, there seems to be papers strew around, as well as gewgaws and doodads around, that do who-knows-what. Around the walls of the room are several closed doors that lead further into the lab. What space isn't filled with doors, or a sparse few windows, seems to be filled with bulletin boards and posters. The largest most prominent one, that actually has a little space surrounding it, reads 'Never stop following your dreams, for they will lead you to great things.'
At the front desk is a dark-haired woman that Millie recognizes from the video call long ago as Lana. The woman looks up at the new arrival as the door shuts behind her, saying "Oh, hello, can I help y-" before stopping, and peering at her. "Wait, Mica? Is that you? Weren't you over up north with Jayna just a few days ago? She said that there was some really weird stuff going on with that place and people who were eighty thousand years old, and I'm sure this has everything to do with the Temple stuff that Donovan mentioned months ago, and I don't even know what's going on anymore." She takes a deep breath, composing herself and smiling again. "So, uh, anyways, can I help you with anything?"

"I was, and that did happen, she's talking about a friend of mine. Mostly I was just stopping by to check in, see how everyone was doing. I'd tell you about what's going on, but the last time I tried that I got thrown out of a place and a stern talking to."
Rubbing a shoulder, she cast a sideways glance at the clutter. "The short of it is there are eighteen temples total, Donovan and I have entered seven so far, it is likely the person that took the Professor has entered three. I don't really care if you believe me or not." She added in a forlorn tone. "This is just a courtesy."
