"Really, my human kill count has been relatively low," Nephilim says, idly looking over her fingernails. "Trying to take too many people would have caused some investigation. And I really didn't feel like pretending to be dozens of people. Especially in your stupid monotonous lives. So, mostly people who wouldn't be missed. Their knowledge was more important, anyways. Where things were. How to blend in. Who and what were important. That sort of stuff. I don't understand your resistance, though. That's unfortunate - though, you also have that device that I'm sure they can keep tabs on you through. Replacing you would be a pain in many ways." She shakes her head. "No, I'd rather just take your knowledge, and then get rid of you. Obviously you can follow me, so, best to eliminate that liability while you're here. So, you have two options." She grins. "One, you can submit quietly, and I'll make it so you don't feel a thing. Or two, you can expend yourself in a pointless display of power. And I'll make sure it hurts a lot. So, what's it going to be?"

"I'd prefer the third option. The one where your overconfidence is your downfall." He pauses and then continues almost conversationally, "But I don't suppose you were really giving us the option anyway. You knew we wouldn't kowtow the moment we went through the portal. I'm going to protect the people of this city and you aren't going to get in the way."

Silas disagrees with Nephilim's words so fundamentally that it's not worth trying to talk to her. "Yeah, that sounds right. Though I'd accept your unconditional surrender." Silas hefts an Ultra Ball in one hand while he fishes for a full Pokeball in another pocket. "Now, I wonder what would happen..."

"How utterly adorable," Nephilim says in a tone dripping with condescension. "And yet so pathetic. Very well, then, big shots. Show me just what you think you can do to me." She spreads her arms wide open, as though daring the technicians to take a shot. MapPlace yourselves anywhere more than 4m to the left of Nephilim. The darker parts are blocking terrain.

Asking for either side to surrender had been a long shot anyways, and they all knew it. So Thoron was quick to send out a Pokemon once negotiations had broken down... But still, with such a superbly confident opponent, the situation seemed suspicious. Angry or not, it was important to stay alert. Recently revived and once again ready to fight, Lowe was Thoron's first choice. He focused right on his target, the second evil Psychic of the day, intent to end things decisively this time. Thoron deployed to B7. Sending out Lowe to F7...ish.
Thoron's initiative: 10 Lowe's initiative: 22
Lowe shifts adjacent and uses Crunch on Nephilim. AC2 - G4Fra4mK1d20+1 (-1 def CS on 17+) DB10 - 3d8+41 Physical Dark damage
Thoron's actions can come later, unless releasing Lowe counts? 1d20+1·3d8+41

Big shots? It certainly didn't feel that way to Blake. He figured a big shot probably wouldn't be on some highly risky mission to the Under in the first place. But the nuances of such an arguement were lost on Nephilim...Requiem...whatever. Hopefully there weren't any other unpleasant surprises but he had a suspicion that there would be. Radiant stands tall as she is released once more. Her form a little battered but still sturdy. Blake(initiative 20) to 8F
Radiant(initiative 5) to 6F

While the arrogant types may be strong in a straight fight, that just encourages the use of other tactics. If Nephilim is going to actually give them a free shot, Silas won't hesitate to take advantage. Silas to E5, Init 5
Gus to G5, Init 5

Nephilim laughs even as Lowe takes a bite out of her, blood dripping from the wound. Pain is clear on her face, but it doesn't transfer into her voice, which continues into a bit of a gargle... as she shifts into a form with vocal cords not meant for laughing. A perfect replica of Lowe, though perhaps a little bit larger. There's a gleam of intelligence and rage in the eyes of the new Luxray, though, fangs bared in a cruel smile. Lowe hits with Crunch. Nephilim's Def falls. Nephilim transforms into Lowe.

Shuddering a bit at the strange transformation before putting on a braver face, Blake shrugs off the suddenly shifting shape-stealer. He saunters a little bit forward, giving a dry clap, "Very intimidating. Abandoning a form as soon as something else comes along. Frankly Requiem's was more intimidating. Easier to berate your enemies when they can understand you."Shift to H8
Taunt on Nephilim
AC 3 vs 10
-3 Accuracy for 1 round. Becomes Enraged and Next damaging hit gains 3d8+10 damage for 1 round.

Nephilim snarls at Blake's taunt, before ripping into Lowe despite the distraction and springing back. She darts around the debris near the Luxray, trying to do the same to Blake, but he's able to swerve away from the vicious fangs. He's able to clearly read the murderous intent in the Pokémon's eyes, though - far more hate-filled than Lowe's ever were - even if she can't speak. Taunt hits. Nephilim is Enraged. Nephilim's Accuracy cannot be lowered due to Keen Eye. Nephilim uses Intimidate on Lowe. Lowe's Attack is lowered 1 CS. Lowe takes 52 damage from Crunch. Nephilim Disengages. Nephilim uses Intimidate on Blake. Blake's Attack is lowered 1 CS. Nephilim misses with Crunch. Nephilim is no longer Enraged.

There was something offensive about their enemy stealing the form of his prized partner. Not that Thoron could do much more about it than glare even harder at the offending entity... And even then, there was all this rubble in the way. Thoron moved around for a better vantage point, so he could continue supporting his team. Thoron shifts to D6, and applies Focused Training (Orders) to Lowe, Gus and Radiant.

Blake, unfortunately, isn't able to escape pain twice - this time, the electrified fangs strike true, and a shock is sent through his body. After the spots fade from his eyes, he blinks... and sees a maliciously grinning version of himself directly in front of him, who then proceeds to give him a wink. Blake takes 49 damage from Thunder Fang. Nephilim Transforms into Blake.

Radiant scowls as the target's form shifts and snaps at her companions. A rallying cry bursts from her beak, encouraging her allies to strike harder and surer. Who's to say this foe didn't have any other tricks up it's sleeve? Or well Balke's sleeves. She shuffles up to support Blake from the doppelganger. Radiant uses Confidence. All allies within 5m gain 1 Atk cs. Shifts to G8

The time for talk is definitely over. Both Technician and Pokemon move circle Nephilim to prepare for a coordinated strike. As soon as Gus has positioned himself behind their foe, Silas sends a ghostly blow directly into Nephilim's face, and Gus blasts his enemy with the most potent spore cloud he's ever used. Gus to H10. Gus uses Spore on Nephilim. Nephilim is now Drowsy and Poisoned.
Silas to I5. Silas uses Shadow Punch on Nephilim. 59 Ghost, Physical Damage to Nephilim. (forgot to include the CS in the roll)

First his Pokemon, and now his teammates! Thoron directed Lowe to join in with the others, and Lowe obliged with a crackling bite. Thoron applies Focused Orders to Lowe, Gus and Radiant (at the start of the new round)
Lowe shifts to F10 (or H8, if I've miscounted, goal is to help flank Nephilim) and uses Thunder Fang. AC3 - RlUDzgIZ1d20+2 DB11 - 3d10+47 Physical Electric damage 1d20+2·3d10+47

Radiant moves forwards, with Gus sweeping around behind. The mushroom 'mon releases spores... but finds the Blake lookalike to be able to move out of the way. The foe's unable to move out of the way of Silas' punch, or the fangs of Lowe, though, and its form briefly flickers, wavering momentarily into more of a pink semisolid form, before resolidifying. "Agh," Nephilim hisses, in Blakes voice, "That really hurt. Okay, the kid gloves are coming off now.""Blake" unleashes a flurry of attacks against Gus, before taking the form of the insect. He then unleashes a barrage of seeds at Radiant, turning into the penguin afterwards. There's a cruel grin, as she stamps the ground, causing a tremendous upheaval of twisted metal shooting up all around, battering the surrounding combatants. Radiant and Blake take some damage, Gus rides it out fine, but Lowe ends up returning to energy. Gus uses Spore. Nephilim triggers Dodge. Silas hits with Shadow Punch. Nephilim is Staggered from Thunder Fang. Gus takes 32 damage from Acrobatics. Nephilim Transforms into Gus. Radiant takes 30 damage from Seed Bomb. Nephilim Transforms into Radiant. Radiant takes 46 damage and an Injury from Earthquake. Blake takes 37 damage from Earthquake. Gus takes 5 Damage from Earthquake. Lowe takes 48 damage, an Injury, and Faints from Earthquake.

Blake winced as the fangs snapped into him. This Lowe-kalike certainly had some bite strength. And then it had shifted into his own visage. How charming! Still they couldn't quite capture his personality. I they say imitation is the best form of flattery. But this is putting it a bit far don't ya think? The words hardly leave his lips before her flurry of transformations and he barely avoids the worst of the damage. Responding in kind, Blake let's forth his own flurry of strikes but his are more precise. It seems the shifting game ability but not talent to weild it to the utmost.
Radiant is left ragged by the burst of motion from the shape-shifting foe. It wouldn't be long until she was felled herself. She pools the last of her strength into one last attack to try and fell the monster but her eyes are too unfocused.
As interrupt using splash to reduce the damage by 12
Using acrobatics on Nephilim. Critical Hit 76 Flying physical damage
Radiant uses Hydro Cannon Smite, Exhaust AC 4 vs 5 78 special Water damage (39 on miss)

When Thoron sent out Lowe's replacement, he warned, " As if we would go all-out against you, either." Whether it sounded serious or not, the recently released Aias followed his boast with a sharp-taloned attack. Aias init: 27 Aias is holding an Ice Brace.
Aias is deployed, shifts and attacks Nephilim (ideally F10, but H8~9 work just as well) with Feint Attack. No AC DB8 - wRJcK7ZQ2d8+45 2d8+45

As soon as Lowe goes down, Silas follows up with a series of strikes. If Nephilim copies types along with attacks, this is the perfect opportunity. After his previous failure, Gus opts for a less subtle approach and lobs a wad of explosive powders at Nephilim's face. Gus uses Seed Bomb! Flanking! AC 2: 7 DB 10: 48
Silas to H9. Silas uses Brick Break! Flanking! AC 2: 8 DB 8: 55
Silas uses Mach Punch with Priority! Flanking! Silas Disengages to I9. AC 2: 3 DB 6: 47

Blake and his 'mon, plus Aias, weaken up the Radiant-lookalike, before Gus and Silas are able to deliver a series of punishing blows that seem to at times liquify parts of the enemy into pink goo. Eventually, Nephilim flickers, and ripples, before beginning to return to a more blobby form as they start to evaporate into energy. "No... how?" comes the more and more inhuman voice as the creature disappears. "You're only human..."Nephilim takes... buckets of damage from all the attacks, is Staggered, and Faints. There was a lot. There's a brief silence as the battle fades, but within a few moments there's a flicker of motion off to the side, in the darkness. Stepping into a more illuminated area are a handful of Pokémon - a yellow duck, a floating trio of magnets, and a colourful bird - accompanying three Pokémon with more presence. There's one yellow humanoid 'mon with a large moustache, a Gardevoir like Sera, and a green totemic bird with eyes (or maybe just eyespots) on its chest. They don't make any further moves, simply looking the humans and their Pokémon over from about ten or fifteen meters away.
