Donovan sat back, content to watch Mica interact with the....whatever it was that she had pulled up. At least until she tried doing something...Mica-ish. He just hoped she wouldn't try and lick it. It looked slimy and that just felt like something she would do....

Mica accepts the lure from it graciously, before tossing it haphazardly over her shoulder. She sings the song of her people, with the Quagsire. It sounds an awful lot like more back and forth yelling, but she is happy and excited, borderline manic, before diving on it for a huge hug. "Will you please come with me? You're the best Pokemon I've ever seen! I know Dusty and Apex will really love you, and Taffy might too! Please please please?"

The Quagsire takes a good several moments of staring and slowly blinking, before nodding enthusiastically. It's a toss up on whether or not it actually understood what was said, but it seems eager nonetheless. It gives a very wet hug back. Or, at least a reasonable approximation with its arm-fin-things. You caught a Quagsire! Level: 20 Nature: Curious Gender: Male Abilities: Poison Point, Rain Dish Moves: Mud Bomb, Slam, Mud Shot, Mud Sport, Water Gun, Hyper Voice

Donovan watched the strange display with a raised eyebrow, before shaking his head with a chuckle "Alright, well are we ready to move on now? Hugs over there seems to be able to give you a ride, and I have Lily to take me"

"Yeah! Just let me go return the fishing rod and we can go, I think I'm going to name him Ham!" Mica goes sprinting off to the cabin briefly, leaving Donovan standing there with the broad amphibian, which just smiles placidly after the girl. The contrast between the two was hilarious, but whatever made her happy. She was back quickly enough, practically wriggling with excitement. "Okay! Let's go for a swim!"

The coast is soon left behind (well, not entirely, it's still visible, just off in the distance), as Donovan and Mica cling onto Lily and Ham. It's fairly easygoing, although there are occasional tingles through the water as they spot electric types, but they make it to the Temple with little incidents. Except for being soaking wet, a little cold (though the Pokémon body heat helps with that), and rather wrinkly from being submerged for too long. Maybe swimsuits were something that should have been packed.
The temple itself... only the very top couple of layers are poking out of the ocean. It's clear that it descends down, but the bottom can't be seen. Thankfully, the entrance is at the top, and the waves don't reach up that high. So, they can at least dry out, and maybe wring dry their clothes, before entering.

Donovan's eyes are filled with...something the moment they make it to the Temple. He begins to move with purpose, unlike his lackadaisical movements while Mica was fishing. His clothes are still dripping but he didn't slow down even a little bit, his focus set on the doorway. "It won't matter if we dry out or anything since we don't exactly wear clothes in there" He says as he hesitantly touches his hand to the wavering doorway.
He's nervous despite his enthusiasm, since he has no idea what will lie on the other side. Hopefully Axiom hasn't beat them here.....

The pair enter the rippling doorway, as they have done many times before. As usual, the room they enter into is giant, ornate, glowing with a sourceless light, and empt- "Oh!" a sudden happy noise cries out from a spot against the wall, a blue squirrel Pokémon not much larger than them running over to the Budew and Bonsly. Oh, wait, not Budew… Donovan realizes that he's a little bit taller now, and actually has arms. Though, unfortunately, not hands. They are entirely dry, at least. "Arrivals!"
Any internal thoughts are mostly interrupted by the Pachirisu arriving in front of them, excitedly running around, and then beginning to bound down the room, towards a hall at the other end of the room from the wall that the duo had entered through. "Come on!" she yells, stopping to look at the two after being halfway down the room, jumping impatiently, waiting for them to catch up, "Morania will be happy to hear news of the outside world, I'm sure!"

"Oh... Donovan you got bigger...." Mica commented, still comparable in size to the evolution. "We're coming! We're coming, slow up a minute... were you expecting us?" Mica waddles after the oceansquirrel.

Donovan looks down at his flowery hands and smiles. Keeping arms in his Pokemon is a nice step, even if he didn't have full hands. He was almost too distracted to realize that they were already being greeted by a Pokemon.
Pachirisu, so this was the Electric Tribe. The Roselia followed after the Pachirisu and Mica "I'm also wondering that. This has been one of the kindest greetings so far"

"Nope, not at all," the squirrel says cheerily. "I'd honestly given up hope of anyone ever coming in. It's been so long. But... there's not been much to do besides keep watch." She bounds forwards again, before again waiting for the two to catch up. "It's nice knowing that some out there survived. We were told that nothing out there would live, so it's good to know that they were wrong. I don't suppose that you've heard anything about Lady Cyrene? I know that she said that she wouldn't come back home or anything, but it would be nice to hear if she's all right." The pattern repeats, with the squirrel once more jumping forwards and then waiting. "I'm Larie, by the way. Who are you?"

"That's not a name we've heard before, no... I'm Mica! It's good to meet you Larie." The Bonsly wanders along after the Pacharisu. "My flower friend is Donovan, and he's pretty great. What's Morania like?"

"Like Mica said, my name is Donovan. So you just watch the entrance in case anyone comes in? Have you been in here since before it closed up, or were you born in here?" He asks, his tone genuinely curious "We were born long long after things were locked up, so I like to learn as much about what it was like before as possible"

"Ah, that's a shame. Was hoping to hear she'd made it. Anyways, Morania, uhhh…" Larie thinks. "Well, she can come off a little strong. Her way's the right way, and don't disagree with what she says. But, she really does care about everyone! It's just tough love. She makes sure you're able to make your own way in the world."
"And, yep, been in here since things sealed up," she says, bounding forwards again. "It really hasn't been too bad. ...okay, really, really boring most of the time, but I sometimes have company. So it isn't that bad. But, yeah. Glad to have some fresh blood to talk to. I'm sure Morania will be happy to know we can get out of here soon."

Donovan continued on quietly. While Larie seemed eager to speak, it seemed like she mostly just had the same things to say. While he felt bad for their plight, and couldn't imagine the boredom, he also didn't have much to add. Besides, he was sure Mica would say enough for the both of them.

"Uh oh." Was all Mica could manage at first. She already had a feeling she knew where this was going to go. The Rock Clan had been one of solidarity and stubbornness. Another leader that did not want to hear what they had to say, as many others hadn't. Status quo seemed very important to these tribes, and she couldn't imagine that this one would be any more flexible. "Well, we won't be staying very long, but it sounds like Morania is the one we should talk to..."

"Well, that's sad," Larie says, "but, we'll be able to leave too, at least. It'll be nice to see outside again." She bounds forwards again. "Morania's just ahead, not too much farther. Second passage on the right, then left..." It really feels like she's incapable of being silent. Maybe just when having another person to talk to.
Making sure that the duo is following, she bounds down the path she's saying out loud. They're able to catch up to her, just in time to hear, "My lady, there are visitors who've managed to come in from the outside! Soon we'll be able to leave!"
"Oh, who managed to do that?" the curious response comes, silky smooth.
"It's um, a Roselia and a Bonsly," Larie says, hesitantly. "But... I don't know exactly who sent them. I... uh, didn't exactly ask. I assume th-"
"Well, why not, Larie?" The interrupting question is in a deceptively sweet tone, but there is a very clear underdone of intensity. As the pair finally round the door and enter the (far too) large chamber, they can see that the voice comes from a small orangish mouse, peering up at the nervous Pachirisu. She seems too intent on staring Larie down (figuratively) to notice the outsiders enter.

"She was too busy leading us to talk to you!" Mica interjected cheerfully. "We sent ourselves though, at least at first... Now I guess a lot of people are sending us, on account of all the leaders that have trusted us. Hi Moraina, I'm Micaand this is Donovan!"

"Like Mica said, we've come at the behest of...well a lot of people so far. For two reasons" He takes a deep breath and tries to think of how to word it "On the one hand we're trying to free all of you. On the other we're delivering a warning. There is a monster coming after the Plates. Her name is Axiom and she's not above killing in order to get what she wants. She left the Fighting Tribe in ruins, and I never want to see something like that pass again."

The Dedenne turns suddenly as the pair speak, before looking back at Larie. "Did you lead outsiders here?" she asks, sweetly. "Yes, lady... I thought you would want to hear what they would like to s-"
"Well, I don't care!" Moraina snaps, before turning back to Mica and Donovan. "We have been safe in here, and all I care about is how to make sure you don't keep coming in. Clearly the Plate was not strong enough on its own. Because now the advantage over outside is gone. I will not have my people traipsing off with those from other Tribes." She 'humph's. "You do bring me some good news if it is true that those Fighting brutes have been destroyed. So that leaves me in a good enough mood that if you decide to leave right now, you may keep your lives. And then I will figure out how to stop you and this 'Axiom' from coming in again. And you can tell whomever sent you that we have no interest in dealing with them. We don't want out of here. Goodbye."
Moraina looks over at Larie, apparently ignoring the duo now that she's done talking to them. "But, I still have to decide what to do with you. Because, clearly, if you are leading outsiders here, you are no longer fit to serve as a handmaiden. I think that timekeeping will be appropriate for you, wouldn't you agree. I'm sure Roven will be quite happy to have an assistant after over a hundred Moons of doing that alone." There's a malicious glint in Maraina's eye, and Larie is shaking.
