Well, I guess I should post this here. Walker BallardAs for the Questionaire 1) Walker mostly grew up around his parents and all of the people coming and going to the mountain, so his father Cain was the most important person to him while growing up. But currently the most important person in his life isn't someone he actually knows. It's the shadow haunting his dreams, always just out of reach of him finding out who or what they are so that he could help them cross over, thus returning his ability to sleep peacefully. 2)The top of Mt Pyre is Walkers favorite place, even if he sometimes has to sneak up there. Unlike the base, there are almost never any visitors and the old couple up there taught him a lot about the legends of Hoenn. Climbing the path up there as the sun was going down as playing his Shamisen until nightfall was one of his favorite memories. 3)A foggy evening on the mountain, the way the orange glow of the setting sun illuminates the mist, the silence as the restless spirits tend to calm down. A foggy golden hour is his ideal circumstance. 4)Walker has never left Mt Pyre, and as cliche as it is, a chance to go and explore the region before settling down in the same place for the rest of his life is something that seems nice. He also wants to search for the spirit he thinks is calling out to him, so that he can help it, and himself, find rest. On top of everything else, his bond with Shinigami has been growing, and he wants to help the little reaper grow. 5)He would help all of the restless spirits on the mountain find peace. Or help all the grieving visitors find peace....Helping both would be his ideal, but choosing between the two would be tough. He would most likely prioritize the the Pokemon, since its easier to help a person grieve then to help a spirit through the veil. Also, I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days.

Alright. FINALLY. Done with my character, after bothering people for WAY TOO LONG in the Discord. Meet Will Prospero, a Trickster/Provocateur and professional card cheat and/or street performer with quick fingers and a quicker wit. Questionnaire: 1) Who is the most important person in your character’s life? Probably his Espurr, Miranda. This is in no small part because she is the ONLY person who can really be said to be "in his life," as his father abandoned his mother, his mother was an abusive alcoholic, and nobody else really cared about one more street kid in Pyrite Town. 2) Where’s your character’s favorite place to spend time? On a particular street where he does most of his performances. Not because he particularly likes the place where he works, but because every minute spent there is another chance to feed himself or Miranda, and potentially even to get free of Pyrite Town. 3) What kind of weather does your character like best? Cloudy and just a little bit cool. Mostly because it's comfortable for people walking around, so people are more likely to stop at his table and join a game or watch his show rather than flee for cover from the weather. Also, if it's cloudy enough, it's harder for people to watch his hands when he works his magic. 4) Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity? Because it's a place that pays. It's a free entry into the Gym circuit, a chance at fortune, and - if he's being honest with himself, which he rarely is - a lifeline to pull him out of Pyrite. 5) If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be? Depends on how big the thing can be. What he wants most is to find security, somehow - to find a place in the world where he doesn't have to worry about going hungry tomorrow or even next week. He's never had a chance to think past that, or even about how to get there. Also, it's a formality given how I've been on the Discord pretty much every waking hour, but “I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days.”

Theodore "Tumble" Weed1) Who is the most important person in your character's life? His mother, and her sisters, have played the largest role to date. Lacking a father figure has left Theodore a little soured to the idea of being a 'Mama's Boy', but he can't hate her for that. She did her best with what she was left with. 2) Where's your character's favorite place to spend time? In the wilds, the uncultivated land beyond the routes. Dangerous as it can be, the world feels more right without the claxon of machinery and the grinding industrial and commercial machines. Just the song of the Kricketune under the night's sky, the dying coals of a fire, and a gentle wind through the trees. 3) What kind of weather does your character like best? Hot, dry winds, and direct sun. Theodore knows rain can be important, but adores the long shadows cast at sunset, and the lack of them at high noon. 4) Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity? A man's life should be about the gamble, the scientist can call it 'applied theory' all they want. Stuff works or it doesn't. If Mega Evolution takes a certain kind of trainer, Theodore believes he's 'it'. Plenty of men not worth their salt have tried to grasp at grand things, not all of 'em get that far. 5) If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be? Nothing. There is no thrill, no joy, no adventure in this life that doesn't come with risks. You take the chance of failure away, and you take away what makes the event significant.

Nori Honda, a kaiju movie fan and aspiring dragon tamer, should be ready to go! “I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days.” Questionnaire under the spoiler. 1) Who is the most important person in your character’s life? Shusuke Toho, who directed the first Tyzilla movie I ever saw. Joking, joking. Probably my mom. We have our… differences, she's always been worried about my health, but she's always been there for me, too. Whenever I've had trouble, she's always been there to help, and she loves to encourage me, whether it's designing monsters or learning about history. I just wish she could make up her mind about whether to encourage me to go out and find my own way or keep me home and wrap me up in bubble wrap. 2) Where’s your character’s favorite place to spend time? There's a room on the south side of our house that's set up just right for me. Big-screen TV on one wall, shelves full of books and movies, and a window that looks out across the ocean in just the right place that it doesn't put a bunch of glare on the screen. And a big old overstuffed armchair that's on a swivel, so I can look out the window or at the TV. Whenever I was sick I'd just curl up there and marathon monster movies. Tyzilla, Gamerex, Slaking Kong, The Deadly Lurantis… Man, I'm gonna miss that room. 3) What kind of weather does your character like best? I actually like really extreme weather, especially thunderstorms. There's this sense of… power, and awe, the same as Dragon Pokémon or kaiju. A reminder that the world is a big place, and we're very small and haven't uncovered all its secrets yet. What I really like is looking out to sea and seeing a storm on the horizon, where you can see the whole thing at once - the clouds towering up and the lightning flashing down to the ocean like a mountain is walking towards you… I guess "right before a storm" would be better, then. 4) Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity? I want to travel. I've lived in a port town all my life, but I've never really been much of anywhere. There are all these places I hear about - Hoenn's full of so much history, so many strange things, underground waterfalls and floating towns and volcanoes and desert sandstorms. I don't only want to see that stuff in movies and books. I want to go there. 5) If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be? Make a kaiju movie! One of those ones with a big battle royale, three or four monsters just slugging it out and wrecking the city around them. Getting the right sense of weight and motion is tough, but if I can make a movie and hear people say the monsters really feel big, that would be the best. They're doing a lot these days with studying how real Pokémon move that helps get that stuff right in motion capture, but when you're doing it with CGI you have to be good to make the audience really feel that ninety thousand tons.

I realized Will was a TERRIBLE fit for this campaign. So now I'm going to retract Will and submit an entirely new character! Meet Kekoa Penamahara, an Ace Trainer (yes, just plain Ace Trainer for now) who's temporarily left his home Seafolk fleet, looking for a place in the world and a purpose to his life. Edit: realized I forgot the questions. Whoops. 1. Probably his father. The old man might be a bit of a coot, but Kekoa has always liked the man anyway, and despite his gruffness he's got a good heart. 2. On top of his family's boat, just beneath the mainmast, especially at night. It's just at the sweet spot between where the rocking of the waves gets to be too much, and where the sea spray no longer pelts so heavily. 3. Kekoa loves clear blue skies and a strong breeze, especially when the weather's warm but not too hot so the wind won't chill you. Maybe it's just his family's traditional paths, but he's always loved a good chill north wind, especially in the summer's heat. 4. Frankly, if he was all on his own, he wouldn't know what to do with himself. Sure, he could get a job somewhere, but what would that teach him about the world? Going off on a journey like this, especially with a task to perform, is just what he needs to find himself - and if he happens to find himself as a user of this new Mega Evolution, why, that's just a bonus! 5. Absolutely nothing. He'd want to save that chance and use it later. After all, there's no point using it now when he's got no idea what he wants to do anyway! Also, I said this already, but just to be sure I'll repeat it: “I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days.”

Hey so I couldn't decide between two character concepts and what do you know, I've decided to swap to the other one! I have here Cole Eld a Fire Ace/Chef and graduate of the Rustboro Trainers School. Question time redux 1) The most important person in Coles life isn't actually in it anymore. His Grandfather Brande was once a trainer who fought on the same level as the Champion, and its Coles goal to reach the same level. Unfortunately Brande passed when Cole was just a kid, and he learned about his career much later in life. However, for people still in his life, Cole loves his parents very much, and misses them and the Inn whenever he's gone, which has been a lot over the past few years because of schooling. There's also his friends from school, but naming all of them would take too long. 2) Cole really loved the kitchen in his family's Inn. The fridge was always well stocked, and often the smell of baked goods wafted from the oven, his mother being a staunch believer that cookies made the guests happier and happy guests were better behaved. The kitchen is the place where Cole spent the most time with his mother, and thus holds a special place in his heart, since it reminds him of home. 3) Growing up in Verdanturf, where the weather was almost always perfect, and the winds blew just right all the time has Cole spoiled a bit on that front. Nothing is better than a nice clear day, the temperature doesn't matter too much, but seeing a clear sky reminds him how much there is in the world, and how much further he still has to go. 4) This is like a dream for Cole. Not like really, this IS his dream. He wants so badly to prove himself as a trainer, and prove that he's more than just some kid from the boonies. So he's going to go into this and give it his all, and then some. 5) He would challenge the strongest trainer he could find. Cliche as it gets, but he's honest with himself. If he had one shot not to fail, he would use it to learn what it takes to beat someone he knows is stronger than himself, and then use that knowledge in order to get to that level from then on. And once more, I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days

I now submit my application! Here is Abigail Cross A former member of Team Skull who had to move from Alola to Hoenn. She's an Ace Trainer/Rogue who is hungry to improve, conquer the league, and leave her past of being a failure of the Island Challenge in the dust. Questionnaire!! 1) Who is the most important person in your character’s life?
Plumeria, Team Skull Admin. Abigail admires Plumeria strong will, talent at battling, and her caring nature despite her hard exterior. Abby would like to be just like her, and improve herself to make Plumeria proud.
2) Where’s your character’s favorite place to spend time?
Abigail’s favorite place to spend time is the beach. Her former home of Alola had plenty of beaches. The hot sun, cool breeze, and lots of fun in the water. Hoenn is ok, but it does lack that tropical flare to it.
3) What kind of weather does your character like best?
Fall would Abigail’s favorite season. Hot weather was almost a constant in Alola, but when it was Fall, it would be just the right temperature with enough weather variation to keep everyday interesting.
4) Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity?
Abigail was pretty much a failure when it came to the Alolan Island Challenge. Taking on the Hoenn league, and the idea of getting something as powerful as a mega item has got her highly motivated.
5) If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be?
Abigail would jump back on a plane, head back home to Alola, and absolutely smash that island challenge. Taking on the island challenge was something Abby would invest so much time into, but she would come up short again and again. Beating that challenge would be a dream come true, and getting rid of a large chip on her shoulder.
The Agreement: “I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days.” (In a previous game, I was kicked for failure to post at a regular time. Accepted, or not, I promise there will be no repeat of my behavior from that game.)

Well...Kekoa didn't feel quite right either. I just couldn't get into his head properly. So, because I wanted to do it right and because I may be addicted to making characters, meet Kieran Leigheas, a Mentor/Duelist/Enduring Soul who refuses to let another Pokemon get hurt if he can help it! Question time:
1. Who is the most important person in your character's life? His mother, probably. After all, she was the one who convinced his father to set up the Pokemon Caregrounds as part of the Leigheas legacy, and she always encouraged him to play with the Pokemon. If she hadn't gotten him started, he wouldn't be here to begin this challenge.
2. Where is your character's favorite place to spend time? Out in the main yard at the Pokemon Caregrounds, where all the Pokemon friendly enough to socialize without battling stay. There's nothing quite as peaceful anywhere, he feels.
3. What kind of weather does your character like best? Late Fall is always his favorite, when the apples are ripening and the air is just crisp enough to chill a little. The nights are cool enough that he can sleep next to some of the heavier Pokemon without them being too hot, but the days are still warm enough that the yards stay open.
4. Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity? There's actually two reasons. First, if he applies for and gets it, that's one less position available for anyone who might get it just for the sake of more power. Second, and more importantly, artificial mega evolution might be enough power for him to take on the League and change it from the inside out.
5. If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be? He would make sure that Pokemon would never be abused again. He's not sure how he'd make that happen, but he'd try to do it nonetheless. And, once more: “I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days.”

Here's Bell! Happy dancer looking to throw some pokéballs and chew bubblegum and she couldn't afford bubblegum with her starting funds ... 1) Who is the most important person in your character’s life?
Other then her parents, which would be too easy of an answer, it would be her dance teacher Mrs Sprout. Bell has known her for a long time. Since her parents usually works long hours she usually stick around and chat a bit after the dance practice has ended. Mrs Sprout is like an loved aunt to Bell!
2) Where’s your character’s favorite place to spend time?
In a cosy blanket under a starlit sky. The hills behind the space center is really nice. But the company is the most important feature!
3) What kind of weather does your character like best?
Clear skies, just a tiny bit of wind.
4) Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity?
Perfect opportunity to wander around Hoenn. Plus it probably could give her some school credits she sorely need!
5) If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be?
Prove that the constellations are actually legendary pokémon and not balls of gas in the distance. Would certainly flip the world around!
Bonus - I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days. Will try and go over the spelling tomorrow. It's a bit late right now, so that's probably needed. Best of luck everyone!

Alright, presenting to you the rather unfortunately named Hyacinthe Bishop, a trainer with his eyes set on being a doctor in the future, but has decided a detour to be a trainer and study mega-evolution along the way can't hurt. Who is the most important person in your character’s life? Very easily it's his father. His father has always stood up for him and had his best interest in mind, and has always supported him no matter what. While he's going on this journey partially for himself, he's also definitely doing it to live out his dad's dream, and to help his dad live vicariously through him. His best friend Amara Jade would be a close second, but no one in his life is quite as important to him as his dad.
Where’s your character’s favorite place to spend time? While he's been out of contests for a while, one of his favorite places to be is an empty contest hall, after all the contestants have gone home. There's this strange feeling of being in a place that is supposed to be full, but is instead empty, and he loves experiencing that emotion. However, since he can't exactly go and visit a concert hall whenever he wants, his second favorite place to be is probably his room, with his shelf of medical textbooks, his bed for Naia, all the old 2nd and 3rd place junior contest trophies he has, it's comforting to be in a room that's the essence of yourself.
What kind of weather does your character like best? He's not really a fan of sun, he burns too easily, but rain is a hassle too... probably a cloudy day with just a hint of wind, a slight gust every thirty seconds or so. A day that feels like it could turn into a full-out rainstorm at any moment, but never does.
Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity? Lots of reasons. Battling is something he enjoys and has fun at, but it isn't necessarily his main reason. Gaining practical experience with injuries, wounds, and how to heal them is definitely another major reason, but it's not the deciding one. More than anything, it's to make his father proud, and to live out the opportunity that his dad never had, to go on a trip that's worth his father bragging about. Secondarily, it's to figure out which route he actually wants to take in life by having a variety of different experiences, because he's a lot less confident about what he wants to do with his life than he lets on.
If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be? The question would probably give Hyacinthe choice paralysis. There's a lot of things he would love to do with his life, but if he couldn't fail? Probably start a school devoted to helping children learn to battle, or perform in the contest circuit, or to care for pokemon, or any pokemon related avenue in between. There are already plenty of trainer schools out there, but his would be a holistic academy that best prepared any child for any route they wanted to go in life, and helped them pick which way they wanted to go without any chance of doubt.
“I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days.”

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1B1xMPqiGiwom0OgAc5bPfIuLl8TdDGorOFuLRVOXG0c/edit?usp=sharing As per usual, please answer these questions and include in your post. They’re to help you think, as well as to help me make sure that you’ve read all of this post. (Also, when submitting characters, please do it in a new post, rather than editing an older one. I’m more liable to miss it in that case.) 1) Who is the most important person in your character’s life? The most important person in Zimbardo's life would be his grandmother Agatha. She was a member of the Elite Four. A strong trainer who never gave up, even until the end. Zimbardo never had a chance to meet her. But his parents have told him stories. 2) Where’s your character’s favorite place to spend time? Vorador tends to like caves, so they go exploring caves together. 3) What kind of weather does your character like best? Dawn and Dusk, as the mist fills the air, and cools 4) Why does your character want to apply for this opportunity? Zimbardo hopes to use this opportunity to strengthen Vorador, and show the world how strong a Pokemon from one of the strongest can be. He hope to create a powerful team of a Gastly, a Haunter, and a Gengar. 5) If your character had the chance to do any one thing, knowing that they could not fail at it, what would it be? He would want to use the Time machine to challenge his Grandmother to a pokemon battle, when she was in her prime. I acknowledge that, should I get into this game, there is the expectation for me to post at least once every two days. (Although honestly, I'll probably be on the discord all day, so I can promise at least once every two hours)

Alright, well, thank you all for your interest. It wasn't easy picking characters for this, but, I can't take them all. So the ones that will end up taking this journey are:
SeraphFlonne's Kai (No last name given) Breakthelevee's Cole Eld Robot's Theodore Weed
I wish I could take on more, but hopefully more games will spring up soon.
