After 3 pleasant days of travel that are enough to make some of you yearn for action, you approach Solaceon from the south. Everything seems fairly idyllic, though it seems the ruins have been blocked off with caution tape.
You could head directly into the ruins, ask for information in town or even just take the time to explore the route around it, if you wanted to delay the expedition a little.

The largely uninteresting route 209 did little the sate Shoko's boredom. Seeing Solaceon ahead she sighed to herself, "just as bad." She fiddled with the shard in her hand, "what wonder will you create today?" She continued to walk at the back of the group not seeing too well who was leading, but it interested her little anyways. "So fearless leader, what task shall we undertake?" Shoko was a bit weary from traveling, but still fresh enough to stretch a bit more.
"Tilda, can you keep an eye out behind us while they decide?"

Evie glances at the roped-off path to the ruins thoughtfully from where she's seated on Paon's back, then back at the others. On the one hand, asking around town to try and keep on top of current developments at the ruins is probably a good idea. On the other hand, she really wants to get into some actual action. At this point if she suggests going in to ask around the others might think she's some sort of... talky... person.
On the third head... "Imogen wanted a ghost, right? A Duskull? Tower's right there. Graveyard's a good place for ghosts." She gestures at the edifice that rises off to the east side of the route into town.

"If you wish to enter the tower, by all means do so. I will begin by collecting information about our job here." Cassandra says, walking off to do so. She will begin by questioning the town leadership (if any), then start asking those who may have been to the ruins recently 'off the books' (aka - delinquent youths and the like).

"A split effort to efficiently cover ground and tasks... I like it." Shoko turns to head to the tower hoping to find something of interest. "Tilda will appreciate stretching her wings, I suppose."

"Probably best I come help in the tower too, not too much chance of wild attacks in town. I need the stretch anyway."

Shoko moves to the grassy area sitting just below the tower waiting for the others, and brings out Tilda. "You will take the lead. Keep an eye out for any hostiles." Tilda happily dances in the air. "You do not have permission to attack anything in range, only hostiles." Tilda quickly stops, notably irked but takes her place atop shoko's shoulder.

Moving into town Cassandra finds that there's no obvious town hall or other governmental building. The buildings here tend to be large and old fashioned, with very few obvious signs or anything to differentiate houses from places of business. She does spot a tiny newer building with a small plaque, identifying it as "The home of Sinnoh's most popular paper - the Pokemon News Press", as well as a large rectangular building she assumes to be some sort of community centre.
Moving back into Route 209 Shoko, Karla and Evie easily spot the Lost Tower, its edifice rising into the air as an unmistakable marker of sorrow and loss. As they approach Lost Tower they also spot a far smaller tower to the south. The second tower is composed of numerous smaller stones, that almost seem to have been piled upon each other at random but form four claw-like spires reaching up into the sky.

Cassandra makes her way into the community center, it being the most likely gathering place for people of Solaceon Town. With luck, someone will actually be there who can address her questions.

The comunity centre is all but empty, with two young girls playing badminton with their pokemon, a Pachirisu and a Geodude. None of them seem to spot Cassandra.

Evie glances to the south warily at the ominous remains of what was presumably a second tower at some point. That looks like a good place to find ghosts, too, but even beyond probably being haunted she has a bad feeling about the place.
Not that she's actually going to say that. She looks back up at the Lost Tower. "In here? Or try for that place?" With an apparently-nonchalant gesture toward the ruins.

Cassandra hmms, and decides not to disrupt their game. Instead, she opts to check out that newer building in town; the 'Pokemon News Press'. Journalists frequently like to twist the truth when writing a story, but that usually requires knowing it first.

Karla glances at the lose collection of rocks dismissively. "A look over there looks like it would be pretty quick since there's not really anything left, but that means there's not much point either. Lets just check out the present tower."

"Agreed," Shoko moves towards Karla and finally looks at the tower. "Hopefully this will not require too much effort."

"Right, then." Evie calls out Paon to stride alongside her as they head toward the cemetary tower. He has his own ways of dealing with Ghost-types, and meanwhile the nastiest Ghost moves will go right through him.
Part of her wants to make a bunch of noise as she walks into the tower, just to prove she's not afraid. But... well, as it turns out she holds her breath for a moment as they step across the threshold, her hand on Paon's shoulder.

The tiny building has a single room inside - a messy office filled with shiny plastic clutter and loose sheets of paper covered in incredibly messy writing. The only occupant is an older man with dark hair, hunched over an ancient computer monitoras he mutters to himself, trailing off a few moments after Cassandra comes in.
"Oh are you the new reporter? We, We're looking for photos of Spiritomb or Vanillite right now, trying to finish that article for Halloween." He says looking back at his screen and trailing off again.
The rest of you find the Lost Tower to be empty, except for memorial markers and fog. Roll perception.

"I'm not a reporter. I'm here seeking information on the currently-blocked ruins nearby. Professor Rowan has hired myself and some others to look into the reports of Unown 'fusing' with Wild Pokemon in this area."

" A rather inauspicious start," Shoko muttered as she stepped in and began to look around. Tilda, perched on Shoko's head, playfully hummed as she watched for anything fun to blow up. Shoko perception: Z84R85UA5d6

Evie peers through the fog cautiously. There must be Ghost Pokémon around here somewhere... it's not usually foggy indoors. Right? Though natural or not, the fog's still pretty spooky... Paon, of course, has a distinct advantage - he's taller than Evie and his eyes are sharper, even beyond being able to look in three directions at once. Evie murmurs a command to him in a low voice and he perks up, searching for potential opponents. Evie's Perception: WNKahmrB2d6 Paon's Perception: 6d6 2d6·6d6
