Oh dear. That's not good. Myst hangs back as the shape races towards them. She doesn't want to meet it out in open water, not when it's so much larger than she is, and looks like it could swallow her in a single bite. Instead, she calls out to Lemuréa, "Get back, heal yourself. We cannot afford for you to fall." The turtle begins to back up towards land, though Myst isn't sure if she'll be fast enough... the tendrils of sapping energy certainly aren't hitting anything. Apparently water combat is not particularly this turtle's forte... Myst uses Splash and Agility Training. Lemuréa uses Absorb on O16, and misses with 2 vs AC 2 for 32 Special Grass damage.

"Titan, forward, we must engage this Leviathan, Kupo!" The small gigas slipped around its current engagement nearer the schooling beast (disengage). It struck at the mass as it had the singular fish.

Ethais winces a little at the size of the bite marks that the fish leaves in Leroy, but Leroy's tough muscles help him resist its jaws a little. But now the big fish swarm is starting to close in... "Get out of there, Leroy!" Leroy appears undaunted, though. He lashes out with a powerful kick at the giant fish before splashing backwards, trying to get out of the reach of those jaws. Meanwhile, Ethais decides to give them something to think about in order to distract them from their floundering Pokémon, and maybe lure them closer to shore. This time she loads a canister shot - the report echoes across the water as she aims right for the school, letting the shell break apart to shower the area. Leroy uses Low Kick on Schooling Carvanha! Titan was able to catch the massive fish off guard, it having thought the gigas was busy fighting its spawn. As Kupdi releases the energy from his attack, the smaller fish stands no chance and returns to the Mist. As the spectral judge lashes out at the evil energy emanating from the greater beast, the piscine moves towards Leeroy and Kupdi. With a wild movement it crashed into the Machop as the little fighting type struck out at it with a kick. While the strike did damage, it also set the creature into an even greater rage. It didn't seem to notice Ethais shot in the slightest, the canister shot having went wide and mostly just crashed into the water nearby. However the remaining fish bit into the distracted Titan once more. Lemurea and Myst are both able to make it safely to shore, the fish now seeing them as non threats. Leeroy takes 24 Normal Physical damage
Titan takes 32 Dark Physical Damage

Myst inhales. She can't just stand here and do nothing. The thing, big as it is... it's near shallower water now. Even if she falls in, she'll be fine. Okay. Just... dive. She rushes towards the composite creature, unleashing her mana, hoping that it will do something. Meanwhile, Lemuréa does her best to replenish energy from the last remaining smaller fish. Myst uses Aerial Ace on Big Fishie for 22 Physical Flying damage.
Lemuréa uses Absorb on Carvanha. 15 vs AC 2, for 32 Special Grass damage.

Leroy lashes out at the aggregate fish with an overhand chop, trying to inflict some more damage on the massive thing. He certainly can't reach the other fish around the school. The recoil of the attack sends him shooting backwards a little, while Ethais starts fiddling with her cannon. "Try and keep it from swimming farther out again, kupo! I need to switch over to charged mode, but it has a short range."She steps out onto the sandy bank. If the others can keep its attention close to shore, maybe she can get in close enough even through the water to shock it. Leroy uses Karate Chop on the Big Fishie! The smaller fish falls to the attacks, and Lemurea regains some of her strength as the Mist from the fish is absorbed through her strike. Myst is also able to get a decent strike off on the collection of fish, one of them returning to an ethereal form after she hits it. Kupdi and Titan both had issues finding a way to strike the larger creature in a way that actually damaged it. The fish responds in kind though, lashing out against Titan, each of its fangs being the mouth of another Carvhana, their fangs ripping into the Machop, though the spectral judge was able to take a bit of the force out of the blow as it appeared hovering over the monstrosity, attempting to hold it back with translucent chains of a bright white. Lemurea heals for 14
Titan takes 42 Dark Physical damage from Bite and is flinched. That isn't taking into account Fey Law or Defenses

Myst strikes the collection of fish before winging back while letting her Mana recover. "I can't tell if we're actually doing anything to it..." she says, "There are just too many of them." Lemuréa seems to take that as a little bit of a challenge, though, stepping back forwards now that she's revitalized, and unleashing another storm of leaves at the school. Myst uses Struggle (5 vs AC 4 for 19 Physical Normal damage), then Splashes back.
Lemuréa uses Razor Leaf. 9 vs AC 3 for 40 Physical Grass damage.

"Just continue fighting, if we need pull back I doubt it will follow Kupo!" Kupdi announced as the horde of fish went for Titan again, thankfully. The small Gigas seemed well equipped to defend itself, but the many attacks it had weathered so far were taking it's toll. (Titan loses 5 Initiative and is Vulnerable, but gains a Speed CS from Steadfast, Titan's initiative is now 13.) Leroy aims one more powerful kick at the giant fish. Its attacks are finally starting to tell on him, but he isn't down and out yet. Meanwhile, Ethais finally has her gun switched over to its electrical mode, and wades out into the water. It's slow going, but thankfully she doesn't have to go very far. "Take this, kupo!" She jabs at the fish with the prongs that have extended from her cannon's muzzle, sending a jolt of electricity borrowed from Kupek into the beast. Leroy uses Low Kick! The attacks of the little Clan were finally enough to overwhelm the beast and with a glorious eruption of Mist, the piscine monstrosity had reverted to its true form. A single Carvahana remained in its place, a bright blue stone embedded in its chest, the source of the glow the group had seen earlier.
Without the rest of the school surrounding it, the fish began to speed off towards the depths of the water once again.

Mystrael, hesitating for only a moment, wings out over the water after the fish. If they don't stop it, all of this will have been for naught. There's probably only one shot at this, so... she reaches for one of the apparently more powerful pieces of magicite, and attempts to capture the thing. Myst triggers Flight for Sky 10. Myst uses a Great Ball: 10 vs AC 6, -14 on the capture.

Kupdi wandered back to the shore as Mystrael captured the fleeing fish, flopping forward with a squeak, arms splayed to either side of him. "Monster hunting is a lot more difficult when you get to be my age, Kupo." He stated in a bedraggled tone, as Titan moved to take a seat beside him.

"It's no picnic at mine either, old man." Ethais thought she was actually older than Kupdi, but of course nu mou aged differently than moogles. She slogged out of the shallows and, after shutting her cannon down very carefully, started to pull off her waterlogged leathers. "But we've made the pond safe... safer, anyway, kupo. Looking at the teeth on those things I have a hard time believing it wasn't at least a little dangerous before."
Leroy, bloodied but grinning mightily at having helped take down such a massive opponent, tromps out behind her and struts about on the shore.
Ethais pushes her goggles up and calls over to Myst. "Did you catch the stone, kupo? Maybe we should have a look at it."

Myst doesn't comment at all on the age things - she's in the spry prime of an aegyl's life, and would be for the next little while. She doesn't comment at all, in fact, until she's safely back above land. Wings and water do not mix.
"Probably best to move a good ways away before we look at it," she says. "I'd not want to risk it returning to the pond, or anything. We should probably go and inform the owner of this dwelling," that concept's still weird - rather than just... living together in the upkept ruins of the early buildings like aegyl, "that the stone should be dealt with. Then, farther away, we can examine the Yarhi." As she speaks, she recalls Lemuréa, allowing the turtle to rest.

"Fair enough, kupo! Sorry, got a little overexcited there." Ethais recalls Leroy as well and slings her cannon back across her back before bundling up her waterlogged gear in her arms. The shirt and striped overalls she wears underneath them look kind of silly and are also soaked, but unless she wants to report back to the petitioner and walk back to town naked she's just going to have to deal with that. At least there won't be heavy wet leather on top of them now. "Shall we then?"

The fish is quickly sucked into the Nethicite, not even fighting back one inside. As Myst retrieves it and then returns to shore, the pond seems calm, even calmer than when they first arrived. A leaf falls to the surface and floats gently no fangs to destroy it now. Once they made the short jaunt back to the house, the Vierra matriarch stood ready to greet them "Looks like you took care of it?" She says, noting the fact that most of the Clan is still damp. She produces a bag "Here then. I can't thank you enough for taking care of that. Now I can do my chores again" She looks in relief at the children, her true worry being obvious to anyone who had met a mother at any point in their life "I'll tell that Clan Hall you did a bang up job." 200 Exp for everyone to split up across their mon however they please!

"Well, that went as well as could be hoped for, I suppose," Myst notes, as they move back to the house.
Upon reaching the house, Myst nods at the thanks, alighting. "Well, I hope that it remains calm. There are still many fish in there, but they seem to have settled down. The stone that was likely aggravating them has been removed. Hopefully that's the last of strange objects landing in your pond. Thank you for your generosity, in words and, well..." she gestures at the food and money.
Once they're further away from the house and pond, she releases the fish out onto the land, to look at it closer.

"Just doing our jobs, ma'am!" Ethais says cheerfully. "Glad we could help, kupo! And thank you very much!" The food in particular smells good after a tough battle.
On the other hand, she's very curious about Myst's new capture, and Ethais is one of those people for whom curiosity trumps even food. She bustles over to take a look at it. "So just what is it you've caught here, kupo? I only caught a glimpse of the shine before you bound it."
