"The Mist is compounding on itself, these old caves are terrible for it. Kupo Treize! We strike as one, and then away!" Kupdi and Treize rush to the Aegyl's side, a lancing beam of energy filling the air through one of the small creature's squares and into the large beast!

The lance of arcane energy rips through both the small creature and its leader, the smaller one was reduced to Mist, which once more flowed into the raging beast, now the markings on its arms glowing red as well as its breathing grew more intense. Then, after shaking off a little of the effect of the attack, it lept into the air and brought down the weight of its body onto Myst, nearly crushing the Aegyl. The other small one that had been unaffected so far runs over near Myst and then closes its eyes to focus, drawing in some of the natural Mist of the cave. The one fighting Lemurea however doesn't take any time to focus and instead notices a moment of weakness in the turtles defense, bringing a sharp strike down at the base of her shell. A resounding crack echoed throughout the cave and even the miner seemed to wince. Myst is hit with a Body Slam for 32 Normal Physical damage

Myst's head still rings as she nearly collapses under the weight, barely able to get out from nearly being pinned. She deems it wise to get out of there while she's still alive, striking out at the smaller creature before cautiously retreating to a safe distance. A flap of her wings propels her back towards the others as she waits for her Mana to replenish. Meanwhile, Lemuréa snaps angrily - though a little weakly - back at the creature that struck it, unleashing another flurry of sharp leaves. Lemurea uses Razor Leaf on M9. 9 vs Ac 4, for 32 Physical Grass damage. She then disengages.
Myst misses with Struggle on Machop, and then uses Splash.

Ethais is... not thrilled with this turn of events, in general - the big Pokémon is looking her way and only seems to get stronger as the smaller ones fall. "Then we should focus on the big guy, shouldn't we, kupo?"She deliberately moves out from behind Kupdi so she's in the leading creature's line of sight. She just needs it to step forward a little more. In the meantime, she has another idea. "Or... we could do this!" She pulls out a chunk of nethicite and lobs it at the Pokémon facing off with Lemuréa. Hopefully, trapping the creature's Mist in the nethicite will prevent the leader from absorbing it. "A fine idea Ethias, kupo! Come on then Treize old boy." Kupdi spurs his mount a short distance to interpose himself between the giant and Myst, hurling a Pokeball at the remaining small creature. He must needs place a binding on the large one, once the field was more clear. LlRiVpRM1d20+1 Pokeball Vs. Machop at N14 (AP Spent) 1d100-5 Capture Check 1d20+1·1d100-5

That's all of the creatures, now, apart from the leader and the smoking turtle that seems to just be passing through. It hasn't gotten involved in the fight... it's a curious creature, and Ethais thinks she might want to remember it's here later, but for now they have more important things to focus on. Unfortunately, Kupek isn't exactly swift, and she doesn't think he can reach the big Pokémon before it gets going. "Kupopo! Get ready, Kupek. We'll have trouble soon. Try and get between Bruin and our big friend." Kupek crackles with electricity as he floats past her, moving toward Bruin's high ground. Kupek uses Charge! Kupek's Special Defense rises! If Kupek uses an Electric attack next turn, he adds its damage dice roll an additional time.

The thrown Nethicite both hit their targets head on, sucking the Mist of the Pokemon into the stones instead of into the larger Pokemon. However the leader didn't take well to the last of his fellows being absorbed and he focused on the now crackling Geodude, moving towards him with surprising speed and agility, his initial footsteps leaving small craters in the ground as he pushed forward, away from the Moogle and bird who had done him such harm. The beast come to a stop in the shadow of one of the stalactites before a wide swipe of its arm connects with Kupek, sending jitters through the Electric Rock. The glow in the beasts eyes begins to flare up again and the lines start to spread over its entire body. Kupek is hit with Karate Chop for 38 physical Fighting damage before defenses

While the fact that there's only one Yarhi left is a good sign... the lines going across its body did not look good. "Lemuréa, fell that beast, quickly!" she calls, as she wings for the miner atop the outcropping. "Are you hurt?" she asks him upon reaching the Baanga, "And can you move? Because it would probably be best to try and get out of here while you can. I've heard of powerful beasts that can summon more Yarhi… it would be wise to clear out before that has a chance to happen."Unfortunately, the Turtwig is still hurting from the blow before, and the repeated attacks, and isn't able to give the leaves the power needed to even reach the Machoke. Lemuréa misses with Razor Leaf. Myst moves and uses Splash.

"Once more into the breach Trieze, Kupo! We'll have to learn this giant not to trifle with the smallfolk! Hut hut!" Squeezing his thighs into the Chocobo's sides, the bird bolted for their opponent full sprint, Kupdi having to hold on for dear life to avoid falling off as his small, light frame bounced wildly in the saddle until the inevitable stop. zX2JvOFA1d20 Peck Vs. As Trieze manages another spectacular hit on the beast, the glowing lines finally interconnect on his point of impact, and the entire monster begins to glow with the same red light. The shadow of the creature within is visible and its face seems to be shrinking within itself, the snout become more humanoid. In addition two extra arms sprout out of its shoulders and grab onto Trieze as the light fades away. The newly changed beast seems slightly invigorated and starts to spin while still holding onto the Doduo, before releasing the hold and sending the mount flying backwards. Upon seeing the battle ramp up and the glowing light, Bruin just nods towards Myst in fear before scrambling down the rocks on the opposite side of the fight. The Machoke evolves into Machamp

Oh, that's not good. That is very not good. Trieze isn't looking to be in too great of shape, and the creature has clearly just changed into something more powerful. On the other hand, it's also standing right where they want it. Ethais was hoping to catch it under the stalactite that had been near it before, but this one will do just as well. "Watch out, everyone! This may be dangerous, kupo!"She takes careful aim right at the stalactite above the beast and fires a solid slug. Oh dear. Well, that's not good, the Yarhi has changed. Developed. Is hitting it more just going to keep doing this again and again? She doesn't know. There's only one way to find out. As Lumerea moves to take up a flanking position to unleash more leaves, Myst herself prepares for a swooping attack once Ethais tries whatever it is that she's doing. The beast is more-or-less between her and the exit anyways. Lemuréa uses Razor Leaf. 6 vs AC4, (-2 Evasion for Flanking,) for 43 Physical Grass damage.
Myst spends 1 AP for Flight, followed by using Aerial Ace as a Pass. Hits for 25 Physical Flying Damage.

The stalactite Ethais hit cracks ominously - and when she shouts "Now!" Kupek takes his chance to strike. He darts at the enemy Pokémon, apparently undaunted by its size, and the electricity he stored up is crackles out around him... unfortunately, the beast manages to shift out of the way just in time. Kupek backs off a step, hoping to present a less tempting target to four powerful arms. Kupek uses Spark! ... And rolls a one. Kupek Disengages.

Under fire from the engineers cannon, the stalactite breaks loose and with a mighty crack, falls loose from the ceiling and pierces the shoulder of the Pokemon, causing it to roar out in pain and turn attention towards the Cannoneer. However the attention was short lived, as a flurry of leaves tear into it, Myst quickly strikes and passes through the beasts reach. Flailing around for a second as it is struck from so many sides, it looks down and sees Lemurea, the turtle having been the sources of the leaves that have left cuts all over its body. Picking her up with its bottom two arms, the beast jumps into the air and lands with its full body weight onto the much smaller Pokemon. Once the creature stands up, Lemurea is returned to Mist and to the crystal on Mysts side. The creature breathes heavy as it looks around at its remaining foes, it's eyes darting between everyone in the room, not giving away its intentions. Machamp hits with Body Slam for 47 Normal Physical Damage, KOing Lemurea and returning her to her Nethicite

Kupdi climbed from the ground where Treize had collapsed and dissipated into the mists that spawned him, brushing off his light armor. "You'll pay for that... Kupo..." He half sneezed the implied insult, it was very dusty in here, and took hold of the pommel of his sword in both hands. UZ4M3XXm1d20 Resonance Beam Vs. Machamp 1d8+26 Fairy Special
The beam sweeps through the air and into the creature rippling with coruscating energies, Kupdi holding the energy wave against the creature, letting it wash over it's limbs and brighten the inside of the cave in a flash of light and dark. Ethais grits her teeth as she adjusts the sights of her gun to focus on the beast again. Bringing down the stalactite helps, but her companions' Pokémon are down now, and Myst and Kupdi themselves don't look like they're in the best shape in the world. Kupek was probably saved by being too slow to engage with the smaller creatures and take a few blows before she realized how to keep them from empowering their leader. In any case, she doesn't dare risk another canister shot even if it might be more effective than a single slug - out of the corner of her eye, she thinks she can see Bruin standing under another stalactite, and crushing the person they came here to save would hardly go over well, would it? Not to mention the number of people standing close to the creature. She backs off a couple of steps - less because she's immediately afraid of it charging her and more because if it does it will be on her before she can fire another shot. "Get ready, kupo! If this doesn't bring him down it'll surely make him mad." She pulls the trigger, sending another shell at the beast. Ethais uses Struggle! With the miner looking to make his way out, things seem to be turning out not too bad. Except that the big one refuses to go down. That's not good. Myst hesitates a moment, her mana not having replenished yet... and then charges in anyways with a flap of her wings, doing her best to take down the Yarhi before it can do more damage. Myst uses Splash. Myst uses Struggle. 6 vs AC4, for 20 Normal Physical damage.

The beast recoils in pain as Kupdi's beam washes over it, the same phantom armor from the fight earlier appearing once again until you blink. The creature didn't even have a chance to steady itself before the cannon shell struck it as well, knocking it to a knee. However Kupek was aiming for where its head once was, swinging wildly in his rage, and missed the creature entirely. By the time Myst reached it, it had stood back up and her strike, missing the wind enchantments from before, seemed to do next to nothing to the beast, which looked down at her unamused before it's back arms swung down towards her. However before she even had to move out of the way, the strike went wide, a shade of white and black having held onto its arms for just a moment, but long enough to send the swing entirely off course. It turns around and looks for the enemy it can't see, that might not even exist, just in time to see Bruin sprinting towards the far wall and the smoke covered monster enter the hole in the wall. Machamp misses with Karate Chop

Kupdi had been through quite enough. His poor mount was in shambles, Myst had been injured despite repeated promises that she would be fine in these caves! He took a knee, and lept, little wings fluttering for all they were worth. Again that sword of light cleaved through the air, forming a full crescent through the creature before Kupdi softly landed at it's flank.

The creature fell to its knees as Kupdi's energy blade rips through its very being. A moment later it explodes into Mist, leaving behind only the centerpiece of its Belt as a physical memento of it's existence. Bruin stumbles over from the other side of the large rock in the center, his eyes wide "Blimey, I don't know what you just did but I sure as hell wouldn't wanna get on any of yous alls bad sides." He reached back and gathered up his pick and other supplies "But uhh...if you all came from that way, then I'm guessing you cleared a path? Cause I'd rather not be in here if that thing comes back out of the hole. I've seen it shoot fire" He glances at the hole in the wall with a look of fear in his eyes "I don't think it was too keen on us taking the magicite, it might eat it or somethin, i dunno."
