In the morning the smell of breakfast wafted through the tavern, greeting any early risers, or those who had no sleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Downstairs awaited some a large buffet like meal of Pancakes, Eggs, and Bacon. Most of the other reps were already gone after they had eaten with only a select few remaining as they awaited their companions.

Star wasn't one of the first down by a long shot, but she did look even more pleasant then normal. A bright smile on her face as she descended the steps talking to the knight Alexia, ordering both them and Jioni breakfast as she spoke enthusiastically with Alexia. Anyone who listened would hear Star talking about the caves between here and River's Maw as she took a seat close to Alexia. A happy glow seemed to have settled on her skin sometime in the night, as did a red mark otherwise known as love bite on her shoulder just to the side of her neck. She had obviously had a pleasant night and saw no reason to hide it.
"So while it's been awhile Sioda and I did used to explore the caves while younger, but we never felt strong enough to traverse directly into the ruins. We were both fairly young though, me more so then her since she was seventeen to my thirteen. But i'm looking forward to finally going deeper, I heard there are some rare Pokemon and I'm sure Dream will enjoy the memories going there will inspire. I'm not sure how much will be left on the upper levels, travelers know about those ruins a bit too often for their to be much treasure on the upper levels I'd imagine. Still, a good place to get some practice in without getting in over our heads. Are there any specific Pokemon you've heard of that we should keep an eye out for while there? While none of the Pokemon I really hope to make friends with are there, I have heard rumors of Lapras' deeper down and they're such a beautiful and loving species. I don't think I'd mind one for when I need to traverse on water."
Star obviously felt comfortable with the Dark Knight now as they talked, sitting close as breakfast was served while waiting for Jioni before they left. She had knocked on his door, hopefully, before heading down to eat. The ruins seemed like a fun dipping of her toes albeit she had never gone into them, perhaps they would even be strong enough to go deeper then the average traveler with a few champions with her? It would make for a fun story to tell her friends when she went home.

Berry’s morning began how it typically began; with a large, warm silkworm jumping on her face the instant the slightest hint of sunlight started showing up in the sky. And once again, Berry would muse on the inconvenience of having a sunmoth around except that she was currently jumping halfway to ceiling from the sudden start. One day she’d wake up earlier and get the drop on Sunshine, but today was not that day.
It was also clearly not going to be the day she avoided embarrassing herself somehow since the first thing she saw after getting her pokemon off her face was one already awake Helia in her own training. Still, after last night it wasn’t quite the tongue tying levels and she didn’t bother with hiding her wide smile or greeting as she ran through her own training list for the day with her all somehow already awake and snickering pokemon.
She didn’t know how a Staryu managed to laugh at her but she could tell.
“Umm, hi Helia, you’re an early riser too?” She ignored the scoff from Sunshine as she ran her fingers along her fuzzy body, melding some of her magic into her and snatching her floating ghost out of the air to do the same out of practiced experience, Staryu hopping close for the same.
“Right, let’s get started!” If nothing else, a bit of exercise was a good way to fully wake up and after what those knights explained, she had a few new ideas to mix in!
-
Berry was properly awake by the time she came downstairs with a rosy Helia, quite literally floating down the stairs and her cheerful mood in a full grip on her body. She made friends! The whole being a representative thing wasn’t some elaborate prank! She managed to get a k-
At the reminder of the memory she just about managed to avoid going completely red this time around, and went right into finding herself a distraction.
“I’ve never actually left Havvestim before so getting to go exploring in ancient ruins is going to be quite something! I heard something about magic knight pokemon in there and that sounds so cool so I’m going to go give that a shot and there’s probably going to be all kinds of shards in a set of caves like that!”
She should work on that, at the least she needed to get her hands on a Dusk Stone and Water Stone and those…were expensive. Very expensive. It would probably be easier for her to gather up the shards and make her own.

Azazel woke early the following morning. He still wasn’t used to the amount of sun regions outside braxius received, and he certainly wasn’t going to be able to sleep any longer with that blasted sky demon glaring down on him. With sleepy eyes and a hearty groan of unbridled princely agony, Azazel pointed his arms up, and called out to his new retainer.
BAAAAAEEEEELLLL!! I’m hungry! Carry me downstairs for breakfast.”
To which Bael successfully ignored him, and forced the prince to make it downstairs on his own shaky legs (the horror)
When downstairs, azazel attempted to order food just like before, but this time with less interpretive dance, and more glitter. He found glitter. Don’t question it. As he dispassionately tossed his glitter in the air, and slowly worked his way through his morning gruel, dozing off every other beat, he decided it was time to discuss plans with Bael.
”So what are we doing today? I guess we need to get started on the whole grand quest thing, but how should we start that?”

The morning sun pouring trough the window Bael wakes sitting himself up from the creaking floor. His eyes were heavy as his sleep was uneasy the night before. Another nightmare. What was he pointing at? Well anyways time to start the day. He goes over to the sleeping Azazel. Trying not to wake him he peers out onto the streets once more to find a lively sprawl of vendors and city folk bustling about. Around this moment the young prince awoke. Requesting to be carried downstairs Bael ignores the prince as Bael is not much of conversation in the morning. Bael only stood at the window looking onto the busy street trying to understand his dream or the small island that he had seen.
As they walked down stairs Bael decided it was time to give "I know you may be used to certain amenities at your home but this is not the case. This journey is not only to prove who is the strongest but the one who is worth ruling this nation. It would serve you good to learn to do some things on your own. I will gladly help you learn anything I can help with but some things you must do yourself young Prince." With a stern yet soft voice Bael delivers a message he hopes that will sink into the Prince as a moral lesson.
As they reached the table Bael and Azazel orders their food and it comes out to them at a reasonable time. Azazel then brought up the question of the journey that lie before them. Bael sits in thought for a moment chewing some of his breakfast. He then pulls his backpack off of the ground and plops in on the bench next to him. He the produces the map of the Aurian and Broksin kingdoms. Dusting off his hands and wiping them on his clothes thus not to get any grease on his maps the then points at the Aurian Map. "Well, there are from what I see the two easiest options. We can follow this route Northeast and cut through the plains here At Cinder Plains onto Fort Asan and make our way to Brimhome from there," retracing his finger back to the Forse mark on the map "or we could cut through the Deep Arx Forest and Blasting Woods and hit Fort Garnet." He then pauses waiting to see if the Prince had been following him through the options. "Now, two things. See, the Forests routes are shorter than the one through the plains," Bael lifts a finger upward "but it is generally more dangerous off routes." Bael then overlays the maps on top of one another as throws his backpack over his shoulders. His plate sits on the table empty as he tosses a silver coin beside the plate. Raising an eyebrow with a grin at Azazel "Anyhow, ya ready to head out? We can talk about which route we shall go on the way to the northern city gate."
As they walk through the streets Bael continues to study his maps for the best possible route as he and the Prince discuss their course of action. He looks up and evades any of those that he may bump into. He also scours his brain or any information he can get from anyone willing to talk to him in the streets about any of the wildlife within the forested areas.

Azazel acted like a proper prince and let Baels lecturing on “moral lessons” but paid close attention when discussing the maps. While the boy may have often been perceived as aloof, when it came to matters of importance, he could always excel massively at focusing on the task at hand. As they left through the streets, azazel stayed close by Baels side.
”I think cutting through the deep forest would be better. Sure, more dangerous and all that, but I grew up in braxisas. There were actual ASSASSINS in the forests I played. If you can make sure that we don’t get lost, then I can make sure we don’t get hurt!”
Azazel notices that Bael was still in deep contemplation over his maps. I mean, that wasn’t such a horrid thing, Baels mind and direction was one of the major assets azazel admired in the man, and would hopefully benefit from, but . . . . Azazel REALLY doesn’t like being ignored. So he threw out his little friend zorua behind him, had zorua take on the form of azazel, and attempted to switch places with the disguised Pokémon, interested to see if Bael would even notice. Should he succeed, azazel would maintain a good distance from the two, hoping to observe, Andy ponder over what he would do next.

"Ah I certainly can guide us through the forest young Prince." he the pulls out a small hand sized circular wooden item form his pocket "This here is a star map. Even without a map I could find us our destination with the stars alone." He then folds his maps up and puts them back into his pack.
After a few moments of walking Bael waves a friendly hello to the guards posted at the gate. "Me and my companion would like to pass please." Bael extends a friendly request. The guard obliges as he whistles for the others to open the gate. He and the prince walk through the gate and set out into the open plain. The hills rolling far into the distance as the winds brush through the tall grass that blanket the hills. Bael takes a deep breath in of the fresh air that hits him from the grassy plains. A trail leads farther than the eyes can see. A forest billows in the distance, Bael's eyes set on the forest as he begins to walk in that direction. "Ah smell that Prince Azazel?" The flowery air hits his nostrils and swirls around him. He takes it all in then turns to Azazel. "Welp, it's time to head out, let's head out."
Bael then decides its time to let out one of his Pokemon for some fresh air. He holds out Nimue's seal as the small little tadpole pops out with a small mist of water. The Pokemon bounces in excitement to be out of it's seal. Bael grins and bends down to his partner "Nimue I'd like you to meet Prince Azazel, he's gonna be traveling with us for a while, ok? I am positive you two will get along. You both like pranks." Bael grins as he pets the top of his Poliwag's head. He gets back up and continues his trot towards the forest.

Azazel made sure to keep within ear distance while staying out of Baels sight. He was already starting to regret pulling the switch, since Bael seemed like he was being genuinely affectionate when introducing his new Pokémon friend. Azazel was a little offended when Bael wasn’t bothered by the sudden silence from the prince (should note that zorua can’t make noises when in disguise). But . . . He still wished he had stayed by Baels side, aaaand it was now a bit too awkward to kind show up and say, “hey, I switched out myself with zorua, what a laugh!”. He could use ally switch, but didn’t want to burn th energy right before a serious venture into new territories so . . . He just decided to wait until Bael next turned his head, recalled zorua, and then pretended to have fallen somewhere in the back
”Agh! Wait up! I fell!”

After a discussion and some deliberation, Raoul had come to a decision. Come the morning, after he had partaken of training himself and his pokemon and then a brief bath he had contacted Aleri before breakfast.
"Alright. I accept your terms, Red Rose. Meet me at the tavern you met us in after breakfast." He stated as he sent the message onward after calling out the name Ameli Rose to bring her up on orb speaker wherever she may be. After waiting for her reply, he went down to have a quiet breakfast with his household guard and then waited for her and for Babs to appear, leaning against his seat as he did so.

Babs, who was used to getting up before the crack of dawn, had been up for quite a while already. When Raoul walks downstairs he finds her sitting there enjoying a large stack of pancake, so covered in syrup that they are coming apart. She looks up when he arrives, giving him a hearty greeting through a mouthful of sticky cakes.
"Oo Hebo! Ow id oo eep?"

Raoul waved over at her, a hint of amusement in his eyes as he sat by her, taking a few moments to decipher the garble to the best of his ability. "I slept fine enough. It's not home, but the faint town night ambiance worked out well enough." He said before he quickly had the tavern wench get him his breakfast order for the day - strips of bacon, baked potatoes, and hearty stew. It was gonna be a big day so he was eating to prepare. He was actually gonna walk this time, after all.

"Das goof."
She swallowed the mouthful and began cutting off another large chunk. Obviously quite enjoying herself. She cut a small pat of butter and placed it gently on top of the mess before popping it into her mouth. After finishing this piece she continued.
"So, we're off to find old stories then? It's a wonder what some people find valuable. At least she seemed like a nice enough lass."

Raoul was still waiting for his food by the time she replied, but he didn't mind waiting for a bit still. "Mhm. Though sometimes... stories are not just stories. Just keep that in mind as we go along." He wasn't about to try and convince one of the smallfolk about the actual existence of legendaries and the baggage they bring. No need to alarm her and possibly warn her off of this venture early - true or false they were bound to see something interesting in the lands of Broksin anyways.

Babs shrugged, popping another forkful into her mouth. Chewing slowly while thinking about what Raoul had said. She supposed stories started somewhere, even if it was just old drunk Daniels making up tauros shit. Taking a drink of water to wash everything down she looked around the tavern.
"Spose I will at that."

"That's the best I can ask of you."
Raoul said with a little shrug. After some time, his food finally arrived and Raoul started to dig in. He wondered when Rose Red was supposed to appear, but he supposed that at least he had a little time to eat before she came by and made the information exchange along with what else she had in mind.

Thankfully, this time when Aleri made her appearance she was not wielding her torch, at least a light. She spotted the duo and waltzed over before standing near their table. "Glad I could hear you wanted ot take me up on my offer, it's been so long since I've been home." She stayed standing, perhaps having already eaten as she waited for the others to finish so they may leave.

Raoul was halfway done with the meal when she appeared, and he nodded at her when she did. He made sure to swallow the food in his mouth and then chase it down with some soup before he replied. "Home? Interesting. So you'll be leading us to your home, then I'll be leading you to where you wish to be?" He asked before moving to quickly finish the food he had and then get some mint leaves to chew on so that his mouth remained fresh once he was done with his food.

Babs finished the plate of congealing cakes and tossed her fork onto the sticky plate with satisfaction. She was quite glad the food around here was great, if this whole business didn't work out there was at least that upside. When Rose Red arrived Babs saw she'd left her revoltin torch behind today, at least she seemed to be learning. She piped up after Raoul had spoken.
"Mebbe gettin to her home's the hard part. Like some 'Mons have decided to squat there or something."

Aleri nodded at Raoul's observation, "Yup, my hometown was destroyed in a glorious sea of flames, even my family wasn't spared. It was okay though, because they found peace in the flames. When I found them later their bodies were all blackened and charred, yet they were praying, no doubt giving thanks to the flames for their peace." She smiled at the thought, "That's why I need to dedicate myself to the flames, wouldn't want to disappoint my family, to do that though I need to learn more of the world so I hope when we get there you won't mind sharing some of your legends with me so I can learn."

Jioni had risen early, finding some far off corner outside the inn where he could spar with his three Pokémon and make sure they stayed sharp. He was proud of their progress, and was delighted at Scathách's new technique and how effective it was. Once he and the three had finished, he returned inside to find food for he and them.
Any who saw him now would notice his appearance to be less fantastic than the day's prior. His hair was neatly pulled and tied back into a ponytail, and neither hair nor eyes held their mystical glow; the pink sparkles were likewise absent.
Seeing his aunt and the knight Alexia at a table, he smiled to himself. He was happy she'd found someone to take her mind off the sadness she'd been feeling. He opted to join the two of them, sitting down and partaking of the plates his aunt had gathered for the trio. Whilst he ate, he made sure to drop pieces of meat for his wolf to eat while handing the floating fairy a few pieces of fruit. The sword was content to take a nap on her master's hip.
"Good morning."
