Yue grabs Bubbles and Cuddles from inside of her hood-pouch and holds them up for Ms. Genevieve to see. "These ones!"

"A Ralts and a Petilil. So you like small Pokemon? There are small Pokemon among every type, you know. That's not helping narrow it down any." She hmms for a moment, then snaps her fingers. "I've got it! I think an Eevee would be perfect for you. They start out small, and when they bond with their humans, they can change their form into nearly anything. There are a couple of young ladies in Normal Branch who, between them, have a veritable army of Eevees. I'm sure they'd give you one as a joining present if you asked." She winks at Yue.

Yue's eyes practically sparkled upon hearing that. "Really?! Then Normal Branch it is!" Yue quickly filled out her registration form, making sure to sign up for the Normal Branch. "I'm done! She shouted when she finished, handing it to Ms. Genevieve. "I can't wait to get every kind of...of...Eevee form? Eevee shape? Eevee evolution...Eeveelution! I'm going to get one of every Eeveelution!"

After Genevieve finished her speech Leon remember why he'd brought Yue to the guild in the first place. He was about to remind her when he realized she was already gone. A cursory glance around let him see that she'd already latched on to the Normal Branch leader and was handing Genevieve her registration. Seeing that Yue was busy at the moment, and figuring she'd be safe within in the guild, Leon looked around for someone who might be able to answer some questions for him.

Most of the people milling about outside are just people who've grouped up and are deciding which Branch they want to join. Currently, there are only a couple of Guild Officials around, some people who are cleaning up as more people pack up/depart before the light completely fades. The only notable person around is Genevieve, who said she's in charge of newbies until they select their Branch.

Not wanting to interrupt the officials cleaning or packing up and leaving. Leon headed over to Genevieve was standing with Yue. "Excuse me I don't want to interrupt but I was hoping I could ask you about something. You see I believe my friend may be related to someone related to the guild and was hoping if you could point us in their direction. Though I'd also like to join the guild as well..." he said but paused realizing he might be starting to ramble
"Anyway back to the matter I originally came over about, Is a woman named D'Mara affiliated with the guild? and if so would you know how to contact her?" Leon asked.

It didn't take Brooke long to realize there was a hidden upside to following Leon and Alex into the Grass area: she actually recognized a lot of these critters. Oddish, Snivy, Hoppip, Deerling... she'd seen all of these before, even knew a little about what they were like in the wild. (Of course, she didn't know what was in the other two areas, but she kinda doubted she'd have the same luck. Not a lot of Fire-types in the woods.) The problem was Sharp. She'd learned her lesson from his earlier scuffle with Alex's Wingull, and kept one hand clamped firmly around the Spearow's legs to keep him from flying off to harass the Pokemon here, but the bird seemed bound and determined to make trouble despite that, puffing up his feathers and making a racket whenever one of the Grass-types got near. Most of them, it turned out, were skittish sorts.
"You are a mean little bastard, you know that?" she told her Spearow, as some kinda tangled vine Pokemon vanished into the grass with an eep. "More trouble than you're worth, sometimes. I'd put you away, if I weren't worried 'bout how you'd treat whoever I picked while you were out. There had better be someone in here you don't..." She was interrupted by a screech from Sharp, and turned to look at whatever poor 'mon had caught his eye this time. It was a little green lizard, perched in a tree branch. Unlike the rest, though, it wasn't running away or even flinching; instead it was giving the Spearow a look, like it was trying to decide if this was dinner. Then it leaped, landing on Brooke's shoulder and giving Sharp a thwack on the head before bounding off again, ahead of any retaliation. Indignant squawking filled the air, but it ignored the noise, instead directing its challenging look at Brooke, as if to say: what are you going to do about that? She grinned, crouching down to look the lizard in the eye. "I like you," she told it. "Want to come with? You'll have to put up with this devil, but I reckon you can handle him."
So that was how you picked out a Pokemon from a bunch of strangers. Brooke took her time on the paperwork, with the slow careful handwriting of someone not used to holding a pen. Upon finishing and handing it in, she asked, "'scuse me, Miss, could you point me towards the Flying Branch?"

Yue pulled on Geneveive's sleeve. "So when can I get to meet my Eevee?! I need to see it before I can name it!" Yue said excitedly, clearly not paying attention to anything else.

“Oh thank you ma’am I think I’ll head that way then.” Alex says and starts to head off towards the Grass branch. Taking only two steps, he turns back and adds, “You have been most helpful. I can see why they made you the welcoming branch lead. I appreciate every—-oof!” It’s about this time that Yue does her tackle hug maneuver on poor Alex. The wind is completely knocked out of his sails and he sits for a moment reeling at the sudden impact. He listens as Yue makes the decision to join Normal Branch.
At the offer of an Eevee, Alex finally gets enough wind back to finally speak up again. “Hold up a second Yue. You don’t know if they will give you an already born Eevee or an egg. They probably have a lot of eggs that need good homes. I’m thinking if they’re already hatched, they would already have them as teammates. Let’s go take a look though just to see what’s going on. I’d like to see the Normal Branch also. I’m just curious about the guild in general right now. I’ll walk her over there Miss Genevieve. It’s this way right?” He says as he pointed in the direct he thought the Branch was in.

"If you can wait a few more minutes, I'll escort everyone wanting to see/join Normal Branch myself. Flying Branch is actually on the roof. There is a staircase leading up there right next to Normal Branch as many Flying Pokemon are also Normal-typed. Also, please bear in mind that I cannot guarantee that you'll receive an Eevee right away. They do giveaways every so often in the main hall though, so you can always ask about that. Usually they hand out eggs." Genevieve answers (almost) every question in rapid succession with practiced ease and grace. It's almost like she has to do this a lot. She seems to either not hear or deliberately ignore the question about D'Mara. Odd.

Leon stood there quietly looking at her for a moment, waiting for an answer as she seemed to run down each of his friend's questions and concerns. After a minute of waiting after she answered about the eggs, Leon thought to try again "Umm, maybe I muddled the question up since I mentioned all that other information first, Is a woman named D'Mara affiliated with the guild? and is there any way to contact her? or was I mistaken?" he asked believing that perhaps Genevieve just didn't hear him or didn't know D'Mara and was confused by his question.

Genevieve turns towards Leon. "Lady D'Mara is the head of the Dark Branch. Personally, I would recommend staying away from her, but I'll not stop any who wish to join Dark Branch."

Leon looked concerned "Oh...why would you recommend staying away from her? Because I was originally planning on looking at the Dark Branch because my first pokemon was partially a Dark Type." he said referencing the part in her own speech where she said the type of you first pokemon was a good indicator "Though he's also a fire type, maybe that would be a better pick for me." Leon said though Genevieve could tell even though he was tall he wasn't sturdy.

Genevieve sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose. "She's not a good person. I don't like the way she operates, and it seemed very much to me (and many others) that she claimed her place as a Branch Head by abusing her position as the Queen's Adviser. To further this discomfort, the Steel Branch is headed by Lady Sorra Shields, a high-ranking Knight, and set up shop not long after Dark Branch did. Lady Sorra specifically stated that she was there to 'watch' Lady D'Mara. For what, she would not say. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth." She then quickly smiles at you again. "My apologies, Mr. Leon. I didn't mean to worry you. As I said before though, in the end the choice of where to go is yours."

Leon was honestly a bit surprised at her candidness and the shift in attitude that just talking about D'Mara caused in Genevieve, but he still needed to ask her about Yue, "No it's fine, I appreciate your candor. Those are all very solid reasons for being wary of a person. However, I still need to talk to her and I need to pick a Branch to start off with. Dark may be a rough start but you did say if we find the branch we chose wasn't a good fit we could move to another. So I know I won't be trapped there if I disagree with how they operate. So if possible would you mind telling me where the dark branch is?" he asked smiling slightly a twinge of hesitation in his voice.

Genevieve gives you directions to Dark Branch, it and Steel being off in their own little area in a far-flung hallway.

Leon followed Genevieve's directions, going on ahead since it seemed like the branch's area was more out of the way than the rest of the guild. When he reached the far-flung hallway to the branch the hesitation he had gained upon learning Genevieve's misgivings only grew with each step. He wondered why a high ranking knight would come all the way from Celadon, what about the way she operated set Genevieve off, and if she truly used her position with the Queen to become a branch leader. This hesitation reached a crescendo when he reached the entrance to the Dark Branch.
Leon took a breath calming himself, 'You haven't even met her yet, perhaps she's just very political and that's not how Genevieve and the other's operate. Maybe the Knight is here to ensure her safety because she's so important to the queen. Let's not make any judgements until we meet her ourselves' he thought before knocking on the door.

Brooke gave Leon a nod as he set off. Finding D'Mara here was a stroke of luck (assuming it was the same D'Mara), but she didn't envy him the job of explaining to the woman that her long-lost(?) daughter was here. She wasn't sure how you ended up with a situation like Yue's, but it sounded complicated. Maybe they'd get lucky, and the woman would be able to tell them what was going on.
In the meantime, she waited for the last few Guild applicants to finish the forms and find Genevieve.

The door opens, and a dark-haired woman stands in the doorway. "Ah, a new recruit, hm? Please, come in. Welcome to Dark Branch." Something in the way she speaks is unnerving. That polite smile on her face seems less like a welcome invitation and more like a hungry predator sizing up its next meal. Compounded with this is some kind of feeling of oppression coming from her. A chill running down Leon's spine that causes his mind to scream 'RUN AWAY!'.

Back outside the Guild, the remaining applicant groups seem to have decided on their final destinations and hand over any relevant forms to Genevieve. She thanks everyone and then announces that she will now be escorting those headed to Normal or Flying Branches to the appropriate destination. Once the group gathers up, she leads the charge. It takes no more than a minute or two to reach a large door with a sign reading 'Normal Branch' on the wall next to it. To the left is the staircase leading upstairs to the second floor/roof where Flying Branch resides. Genevieve indicates to those wishing to join Flying Branch (or learn how to handle Flying Pokemon) that the Branch Dorm for Flying is directly up the stairs and to the right. Up the stairs and to the left is the Guild Rookery (place where Flying Type Pokemon used as mounts are kept).
