Gumnisa leaps over the railing, landing in front of her friend in a crouch. She stands up slowly, her long hair finally revealing her face and the expression of mock sadness on it.
"It better be good, after you ran out on me while I was in the shower like some sleazy guy."

The Vulpix sniffs and sneezes possibly from the rain, but tenitively begins moving down the road towards the docks. I don't think that she has the trail locked, but she thinks that she's at least somewhat got it.

Misha smiles brightly as Gabby seems to pick up a trail. "Good job luv! We'll find this mon and be back inside in no time." Looking over her shoulder to Chris, she beckons the other girl over. "Come on! Gabby found something!"

Chris nods, and follows the pair of trackers, Artemis gliding back overhead, and keeping an eye on the triad.

Lily smiles widely. "I've been wanting to try this out for a while now!"
Lily almost bounds up the stairs, something she's told Misha off countless times for, and runs into her room, setting Angel down on the desk. Lily frantically searches through her bookshelf for a specific tome. Once she finds it, she plops in down next to her Pokemon. "Alrighty Angel, it's show time! Help me set the ritual for making a Water Stone from shards!" Lily says, nearly jumping up and down with excitement.

Gumnisa eyes her.
"...I suppose I can let you slide, this one time."
In all honesty she was just super intrigued, Lily's magic-like abilities were always interesting to her so she couldn't pass up the chance to see this.

As they follow Gabby down the road, Misha makes a realisation. "What're we looking for, by the way? Never caught what mon was missing," she asks Chris, turning her head slightly to look at her.

"Oh!" Chris exclaimed at the question, blushing. "I didn't even think...but you weren't there, were you...? Um, Princess is a Skitty." She nodded to herself as she managed to get the statement out. "That was why she probably doesn't like the rain." It was probably an unnecessary explanation, but she made it anyway.

Misha grins as Chris gets flustered. "It's alright, Chris. I forgot to ask before now too, so it's not like you were the only one to mess up there. Anyways, a Skitty then. Yeah, that would explain why she'd not want to be in the rain. Probably hiding out in a crate out on the docks or something."

When Cristie and Misha arrive at the docks still following Gabby, the rain has slightly lightened up. Now the background noise of the weather is an intermittent plop pause plop of water dripping off of gutters. The smell of oil on water and concrete is strong here. And there are multiple cries of gulls from above.
Rain doesn't stop the ships from coming in, nor from the workers from loading and unloading them. Thus every so often the blowing of horns in a pattern that anyone by the docks has memorized if only in intensity of Freighters entering port or leaving blares in their ears.
Semis trundle on by, their loads soon to be "anywhere but here."

Wrinkling her nose at the pungent smell hanging around the area, Misha sighs at the area. She had never been a huge fan of the docks, and the fact that her dad was probably out there working didn't really help matters. Still, she was on the job, and no sense in complaining. Kneeling down next to Gabby, she pets the vulpine for a few moments. "Wonderful job, Gab. You think you can manage the stink her for a bit and get a closer beat on the Skitty we're trying to find?"Using Focused Training on Gabby

The little fire fox yipps and tries to put nose to the ground and go again. This time, she almost immediately begins to run off, tails bobbing as she does, before coming to the edge of a door of a rather broken down warehouse. The door is closed and big enough that if the fox doesn't want to burn it down the little mon has few recourses left for getting though.

Misha grins widely as Gabby darts off, clearly having picked up a good trail. Jogging after her, she stops next to her in front of the door. "Awesome job Gabby! What did I say, we'll find this Skitty in no time." Looking up at the building, she frowns a bit as she examines the structure. "Wonder how she got in here on her own..."
Turning to Chris, she makes a circling with her hand. "You think Artemis could make a quick roundabout of the building, spot anything interesting on the other sides, or the roof maybe? I'd rather not try to get in before we have a better idea of what the place looks like from the outside."

"Yeah, good idea," Christie said, with the blank, distracted look on her face that said she was probably already on it. While Artemis scouted the building from the air, Chris balanced her umbrella in the crook of her arm, taking out her notebook and pencil to scribble about what they saw.
17 for Perception to scout the building. Chris spends 1 AP to make a record of the warehouse.

Artemis notices that in addition to the broken window, there is also a section of caved-in roof creating a skylight. From outside she can also make out some vauge shapes moving within the warehouse though from where she is, she can't tell more.

At a mental nudge from Chris, Artemis flew to the hole in the warehouse roof, perching on the edge to get a better look a the things moving inside. "It looks like there's something in there," Chris told Misha. "I'm having Artemis take a closer look."

Misha frowns at Chris' words. "Weird... this place looks pretty abandoned... maybe some homeless people have shacked up here or something..." she says, though she sounds unsure.

Lily takes one of the shards and ground it into powder, giving some of it to Angel so the small Pokemon could help out. She uses the dust to draw a ritual circle on her desk, with a large circle in the middle, and three smaller circles along the edge, with strange symbols around the outer ring. In each of the smaller circles, she places another blue shard and then steps back to admire hers and Angel's work momentarily. Satisfied with the result, she speaks a short chant and claps her her hands together, as if to pray.
At first nothing happens seems to happen, even after a few minutes of waiting. But gradually, ever so gradually, the air in the room starts to move, drawn to the ritual on the desk. Around this time, the three shards begin to glow blue in a pulsating fashion, slowly growing brighter before fading to nothing once more. The speed of the glows change becomes faster and the glow itself brighter, eventually becoming like a strobe light before turning into a constant blue shine.
Before Nisa and Angel's eyes (Lily's eyes are closed because she's concentrating on the ritual), the shards begin to crumble into glowing dust, giving the impression of glittering blue stars as they're picked up along with the dust used for the ritual circle by the whirlwind that's encircling the desk at this point. The whirlwind wind begins to compress itself, the dust gathering in the center, until finally both the wind and glow come to a sudden stop as a blue stone falls onto the desk. Hearing the sound, Lily opens her eyes and sinks to her knees in a mixture of joy, pride, and relief that the process was a success.

Gumnisa and Wichu stand by silently as their friend gets to work, watching the girl and her Ralts work together in one of the very few instances in which her friend would allow it.
She thought to mention it, but decided against it. It was probably for the best she remain silent, she didn't want to ruin such a rare moment nor did she want to break what she assumed was the large amount of concentration that the ritual required.
She at first thought it strange that Lily would destroy the shard, but then she saw the motive behind the action.
As the circle is formed she waits with bated breath to see what will happen next. For a moment she could swear she felt the wind pick up before it actually did, as if she was in tune with it but she figured she was just hyped up by her friend's machinations.
A small gasp left her as the stones began to glow, and something inside her leapt as the wind and light began to dance together. The feeling wasn't so different from the one she'd felt before she moved to Alola.
This, this was the stuff that reaffirmed her belief that the gods had gifted them miniscule amounts of divinity. The way her friend could make a dance of stars the way she'd seen with Cosmogs, this was magic.
Once the ritual died down and the resulting stone clattered onto the desk she sat, staring in awe of Lily's work.
That didn't last long as she dashed forward and next to her friend.
"Oh my gosh Water Lily that was so cool!"

Lily is hugging Angel in her excitement, actually forgetting about her mistrust of Psychic types temporarily. She rubs her face up against her as she giggles and laughs, giddy with the success of the merging. Eventually she realizes what she's doing and sets Angel down. She blushes and tries to downplay her happiness while giving Angel one of the double chocolate chip cookies from her stash as a reward.
