Seeing his primary target go down, Toks hastily redirected himself at the remaining Machop, and charged forth, horn leading the way to take out the final standing pokemon. Toks Actions

Machop 2 is KO'd! The group is victorious! The fainted Pokémon are suddenly pulled into nearby Poké Balls that lie on the ground, and then the balls themselves disappear. A pair of disembodied, floating red eyes hover in the air for a moment, narrowing in anger as they gaze upon the group, and then they disappear as well. All seems calm now.

Asa gave a huff as the floating eyes disappeared. She looked over the scene and recalled Blitz to his ball. "Good job everyone. For what it’s worth. We need to get Absol and the remaining belongings back. Maybe the owner can fill us in on the contents of the small box. Did they drop the horn by chance?" She searched through the remaining loot that the thug left behind when the Abra teleported him away.

There is a bag on the grass. It contains a lockpicking set and an other smaller bag full of black powder that may or may not be the Absol's horn.

Asa gathered up the kit and bag of powder in hopes that the police might be able to gain information from the evidence. She wasn't sure what to do with the bag of powder but bring it to the Absol's owners. She seemed to pause in thought as she glanced at the Absol. "Can any of your Pokemon carry it back to town. I really don't want to wake it up until we have to, unless someone knows something about them and their horns that I don't."

Using its horn, Absol is able to sense even subtle changes in the sky and the land to predict when a disaster will occur, and will try to warn people when one is approaching. This often has the unfortunate effect of Absol itself being blamed for the disaster, notably by the elderly. The horn has the unfortunate situation of having recently been declared quite valuable on the black market, as it can be used in a number of useful but unscrupulous ways, the most notable of which is being powdered and used to brew a special tea that, when consumed, is said to give a person the ability to predict the future.

Justin's eyes narrowed in response to those in the air, mirroring their emotion. Just fighting the Machops, while satisfying, hadn't really accomplished anything. These Team Force people seemed to be escape artists before anything else. Instead of brooding however, he got to helping out where he could. In reply to Asa, he said, "Brutus might be able to. I'm not sure on the logistics of it though..." He placed a hand on the Ghost Pokemon, lightly squeezing the kelp that made up its body - unconcerned by the slime left on his hand - in a subtle way of showing he was proud of it. Despite their rocky start, the Dhelmise seemed to be a good member of his team.
"I think I'm just going to try healing it. I might be able to calm it down enough." In truth, it might not have been the best plan, and he knew it, but Justin couldn't stand around while the Pokemon was so injured. Kneeling down on the ground next to the canine, Justin applied some medicine from his pack: one of the hyper potions Wally had given him. As it began to take effect, he spoke to the Absol in a soft, low tone. "It's alright now. We're your friends. We're not going to let anyone hurt you or your home anymore. You don't have to be afraid." He also extended a hand to allow the dog Pokemon to sniff it.

Asa shrugged and Justin's decision to wake the injured Pokémon. She placed the bag of black powder at his side in case it would help stop the Absol from bolting again. Sitting back and waiting, her analytical mind began to work. The researcher couldn't help but wonder at how fast the villains had managed to turn the horn to powder and bag it like that. Could an Absol track something like that, or was it maybe tracking them based on what was in the box that they had removed from the safe. That did not fit with the events either, because she knew that an Absol senses things with it's horn and this one did not have it's horn when it ran off after the villains.
"We really need to figure out what was in the box..." The statement was more to herself than to the others, just a checklist spoken aloud.

The Absol is healed and wakes up, but its behavior is still woozy. It stumbles around like it's still injured. It just seems too out of it to launch into any aggression right now, so it just kind of hangs out near the bag with the black powder, trying hard not to fall over and blinking its heavy eyes really slow like someone would if they hadn't slept in days.

"Is it acting that way because of the horn or because it was just knocked out? The only thing I can think of is bringing it and the bag to the Pokémon Center back in town. We also need to tell the police so they can investigate what was actually taken from the safe."

To call the eyes that gazed on the group with such contempt unsettling, was a severe understatement. By Arceus what even was that, that could control and teleport such things on a whim. Certainly no abra as far as he knew.
As the group gathered everything together, he felt a twinge of pain looking at the Absol. He did not want to even imagine what it must be like having something like your horn removed. "Yes, hopefully something can be done with the Absol. Let's get it back quick as we can. How in the heck can they do mass teleportation like that. Is that even possible?" He asked, looking back at Justin. He kept Toks out, more than a little worried that more of those goons may come at them afterwards. If they could simple phase in like that, he did not wish to take chances should they be jumped.

"I'm not sure," Justin said, staying by the Absol and trying to stroke its fur reassuringly, "about any of this, really. But I'm sure we'll figure something out." He wracked his brain for an answer to Bo's question, based on what he'd learned from working with Professor Birch. At the same time, he thought of a question of his own, which he asked Asa, "Ideally, we'd be able to restore Absol's horn, but I don't think that's something that could just be done in a Pokemon Center. But what about the fossil lab? Do you think their revival machine could be used to reassemble the dust?"

Pokémon Ed: Only something with extremely strong psychic abilities could teleport with so many passengers along for the ride. It would take scary levels of power.
Charm: Absol is still very woozy and quite out of it, but it does appear to decide to slowly wobble over to Justin's side instead of Asa's, though it watches the bag of powder in her hand from its spot.
The Pokémon Center and Fossil Lab both seem like decent places to go in the quest to heal this Absol. Which one will the group visit?

"Let's get it to the Center first. It's got other injuries than just the horn and we can't have it just following us in this confused state if we go to the lab. I'd hate for it to go berserk again around the fragile fossils." Asa gave the bag of powder to Justin, since he seemed to have earned the Absol's trust somewhat. She turned to head back to town, leaving Blitz out to act as a bodyguard for the group.

It's only as the group begins to leave that the fainest little squeak of a creature in pain reaches their ears. Something is in the nearby bushes, and probably has been all along, hidden from sight.

Following along with the plan, Bo keeps Toks out as well. When they started to walk off though, the squeak made the young trainer whirl, with Toks on the defensive as well. "Did you hear that? think it's more of them?" he asked, more than a little bit on edge after Justin just responded to his question about the mass teleport, with a worrisome looking silence. Perception: Whatever it is, it's in the nearby bushes, hidden from sight. Bo can't tell from a distance.

Asa
Asa paused in her tracks at Bo's warning. The beedrill hovered with it's stingers held menacingly ready to charge. She listens closely before moving to slowly pull back a few branches of the nearby bush.

"It sounded more like they might have had another victim," Justin said. The noise wasn't much to go off of, but he tried to identify the Pokemon from it as he walked towards where it was hiding. He kept Absol with him, resting a hand between its shoulder blades.
