The Machoke is spared but the ball lands right in the middle of the three Machop, confusing them all.

"So it was them," Justin said, seeing Asa's suspicions confirmed. For some reason Justin was angered by that. It wasn't just the crimes being committed. It was the blatantly immoral nature of them as well. "Let's put a stop to this. Brutus." He threw the Dhelmise's Pokeball at the group of Pokemon. "We'll take the big one," he growled.
Justin summons Brutus as close to the Machoke as possible (throwing range 6), and uses his swift action to tag the same Pokemon with Duelist.

The beedrill dives into the fray, leveling it's arm stingers at one of the confused machops in a fury of strikes. It seemed to be as ruthless and calculating as it's master in the systematic selection of it's prey. Brutus appeared in front of the Machoke with a clang, its anchor smashing into the dirt. It sat there for a moment as the Fighting Pokemon fought the little blue lizard, and then, with an ease that was clearly supernatural, moved the anchor to a position slightly behind the enemy. The ship's wheel that resembled a face remained floating where the Ghost was originally summoned, connected to the anchor by the length of kelp that made up the Pokemon's body. From its position behind the Machoke, the anchor was rammed into its side.

Asa watched the team move. They seemed to have the advantage at the moment and she planned on keeping it that way. She gave precise instructions to Blitz to continue to strike at the weak points of the fighting type Pokémon.

The Machoke was tough, and Toks recieved a modest battering from the retaliating blow that the two muscled pokemon delivered. Luckily the hardy Nidorino managed to shrug off a small deal of it, only receiving a bit of bruising. Bo called out to Toks, commanding the pokemon to deliver a deeper strike, to hopefully poison the Machop that delivered the painful blow, and had shrugged off the confusion of the Pester Ball

Brutus landed a solid, satisfying blow. It wasn't as devastating as what Nike could frequently dish out, but the Ghost Pokemon had a much better typing for this combat than his little Rock partner. Fueled by his anger at the group, Justin joined the melee himself, attacking the same target Asa's Beedrill had. It seemed poetic that the first threat he was fighting with the new abilities he had been practicing were the people he had seen fight with this style in the first place. After his strike, he readied himself for the Pokemon's retaliation, feeling rather nervous about his first combat, and what could potentially be done to him.

Blitz continued to focus on it's target with another furious barrage of attacks unless the human had neutralized it. It buzzed in agitation at the interruption of its combat by a human. Asa never got in his way, trusting him to the task at hand!

Machop 1 tries to dodge Justin's attack, and almost does, but ultimately gets clocked pretty good on the side of the head and goes down. As it falls over, this causes Blitz's attack to miss.

Machop 3 takes 36 damage and 2 Injuries. As a Swift Action, Machoke uses Foresight. For the rest of the turn, Machoke's Normal-Type and Fighting-Type Moves can hit and affect Ghost-Type targets, and Machoke can see through the Illusion Ability, Moves with the Illusion keyword, and effects created by the Illusionist Capability, ignoring all effects from those. Machoke uses Seismic Toss against Brutus! | AC: | kDLDQj1U1d20 vs 2 + Target's Evasion | Type: | Fighting | Frequency: | Scene x2 | Damage: | -- | Extra Damage if Crit: | -- | Damage Category: | Physical | Range: | Melee, 1 Target | Effect: | The target loses HP equal to the level of Seismic Toss's user. The blow that normally shouldn't have hit it instead smashed Brutus into the ground, leaving its steering wheel spinning. In retaliation, it shifted its anchor again, the great steel weight glowing a bright green before smashing into the Fighting Pokemon.
Brutus used Mega Drain! | AC: | zJFHM4S71d20+2 ≥ 2 + Target Evasion | Type: | Grass | Frequency: | At-Will | Damage: | 2d6+26 | Crit Adds: | 2d6+8+2d6 | Damage Category: | Physical | Range: | 6, 1 Target | Effects: | After the target takes damage, the user gains HP equal to half of the damage they dealt to the target. |
Mega Drain is made a physical attach by Brutus' Anchored ability. He gains 1 momentum at the end of the round, 2 on a hit.

Glancing over at Asa as she barked out her own words at Toks, he nodded and pointed Toks to the Machoke he had been fighting, hoping to knock the Pokemon out with one last solid blow.

Satisfied with his first blow, the combat sating the anger within him, Justin moved on to the next of the Machops, the one Bo's Pokemon had been fighting, and attempted the same thing. He'd have to reward Brutus somehow. The Ghost Pokemon was battling expertly without any guidance. He wasn't sure how though, as it didn't eat...
