Mica's attention was on the miltank and the Tauros. Partially because she didn't like seeing Donovan hurt, partially because she felt a tiny niggling ledyba of guilt that it was her fault he had been injured, and partly because Pokemon were really cool. "Enya had a cow Pokemon like that, it was crazy strong... and one of your bulls knocked out two of my pokemon and banged me up pretty good too." She was cheerful, almost excited by the whole thing.
"I think they're really neat, both of them!"

"Well, nice to meet the both of you," Ron says. "Again, thanks for the help. And, I'll make sure to let Ellie know."
Looking at Mica, he follows her gaze. "Yeah, if they wanted to, they could probably cause just as much trouble as the boys. I'm just glad they seem to not realize it, for the most part. Sorry about the bang-up, but, I'm just glad you got off as lightly as you did. I've, uh... seen a lot worse happen to someone who decided sneaking into the pastures was a good idea."
He seems to think for a few moments. "Y'know, as thanks, well, it was calving season recently. And there's one little Tauros who didn't seem to get the memo that he's supposed to be a fierce beast. Got kicked around too much, so I had to separate him from everyone. Well, except a baby Miltank that seems to have appointed herself his keeper, keeping the other Tauros off of him. If you guys wanted, being Trainers and all, you could take him. Or the both of them. I feel bad that he has to be alone, but it's too dangerous - for him, for once - letting him roam around here. Or," he glances at Donovan, with a wry grin, "If you wanted to take a Ponyta foal instead, well, those are just starting to run around now. You could get some on-the-road experience."

Donovan thought on the offer "A Ponyta of my own would be nice....But I think I would like to take that Tauros along. I bet with a little help he'll grow into a powerful and confident Pokemon of his own. Besides" He looked at Mica and limped over "This way be can both help Pokemon grow stronger and the Tauros and Miltank don't have to be separated"
He didn't want to say it but he was also nervous about training a Fire type, that was about as far from his comfort zone as it gets, and he wasn't sure how well Rose would take to one...He could find something else to ride someday, especially since at the moment he was a little hesitant to try it again.....though he did want to ask Mica later if he at least looked cool before falling...

"Yeah... I definitely wouldn't want to separate the two, and it makes sense for my Pokemon to look after Donovan's." She teased, giving her friend a gentle nudge. "You uh... you should probably know the limits of the Pokemon you're with, before you try to make a jump like that, but this time it wasn't really your fault. You did your best." Mica encouraged, as though reading his mind.

"Alright, sounds good," the rancher says, leading them up the road, his Arcanine still plopped down in the hole in the fence, casting its gaze over the now settling down cows.
It takes a few minutes to walk up to the house, and then past it, to where there's a little shelter that looks to have been rather hastily put together off from everything else. Ron leads the pair over to it, before peering in a window, and carefully opening the door.
It's to no avail, as one of the little shapes lying curled on the floor suddenly bolts upright and runs for the opposite corner from the door, cowering. The other, pinker, one moves into a more protective position in front of the first, shifting its weight from leg to leg.
"Well... there they are," he says. "As you can see, really skittish. Don't have names yet, either. Not sure if you'd still want him after seeing him, though."

"Poor little guy... but at least he's got a friend? Do you have any food in here for them?" Mica gently steps into the makeshift lodging and has a seat beside one of the troughs. "Hey, it's okay, we want to take care of you two... come here, come on..."

Donovan takes a few hesitant steps towards the Tauros before digging around in his bag and pulling out one of his home grown Oran Berries and crouching to the ground. He winced as the pain shot through him, but he didn't let it show for long before he smiled at the Tauros " Hey, you know I probably know better than anyone what it's like to run from trouble. But I promise I don't want to hurt you" He broke the Berry in two and held out both pieces " I just want to get to know you and help you grow big and strong" 6 on the charm and giving them an Oran Berry

"Yeah, I make sure there's some hay in here," Ron says, gesturing against one wall, "They're pretty big eaters, though."
The Tauros doesn't approach the Trainers, still pressing back into the corner... but it does at least turn to look at them, regarding the pair with its dewy eyes. The Miltank beside him rubs up against the small bull, staring at the two Trainers, seemingly not deciding who's worthy of the not-really-intimidating-at-all glare.
There's a little bit of sniffing from the pair at the berry, though.
"Well, you're doing better than most already," the rancher chuckles softly. "Most of the time he doesn't even look back at people who come in."

Donovan scratched his chin before reaching down for Dandelions ball and releasing the Combee next to him "Maybe it would help if he let them meet our partners. This is Dandelion. I met him on the road and he's been with us ever since. He's really nice, and would help you grow to be big and strong." Donovan smiles and places a hand on Dandelion before tapping him a few times to read his thoughts "Dandelion, release just a bit of that sweet scent and draw them both on over here to the berry"
Dandelion floats up and down in acknowledgement before a pleasant aroma fills the small room, emanating from Donovan and the Combee and focused towards the two baby Pokemon.

"I don't feel like... introducing more things to a confined space is a good way to win over a scared Pokemon." Mica suggested with a degree of confusion at Donovan's tactic, laying down in the straw to make herself less imposing and flopping her arms to either side. She always liked this smell, dried sweet grasses and old wood. It was homey but civilized.

Mica seems to be right, as the Tauros remains shivering in the corner, though the Miltank does start to approach... before briefly tripping over its own hooves. When it gets back up, it stares up at the interloper Pokémon with a hungry look in its eyes, and leaps towards it, clearly intent on causing some harm to the Combee. As cute as such a tiny thing can be, it also really carries a lot of weight and purpose behind it.
In the back corner, the Tauros does glance over at Mica with some curiosity, taking a tentative snuffling step over towards the odd behaviour.

Donovan quickly recalled Dandelion as the little Miltank made its way towards the Combee. Well that was one plan down the drain. And now it seemed interested in him, and the Tauros in Mica....
"Hey now, Dandelion isn't food, even if he smells nice and is named after something you would eat. All my team are like that, I can't be having you chomp down on them if you're coming with us" He knelt down and offered the half berry "But you CAN eat this"
"My thought was that since Dandelion can emit a really sweet smell, it might help keep them calm and bring them over. It half worked"

Mica deliberately ignores the small bull, but wriggles her fingers slowly with some straw between them. "Pokemon consider a bunch of things when they interact with humans and stuff. Food, shelter, territory, family, they have all that stuff here already. You have to get them interested in something more, and then maybe they will play."

The cow deftly snatches the berry out of Donovan's hand with her tongue, before turning her back on him, head held high, as though upset that he took away the honey-flavoured snack. She saunters away from him... and almost trips over Mica because she isn't watching where she's going, only stopping at the last moment. The next thing that Mica sees is a (from her perspective) upside down Miltank head staring directly into her face, curiously.
The Tauros seems to have calmed down a little, curiosity with Mica seemingly whetted, and stretches before curling up on the ground again in the middle of the floor. Its tails are still swishing around, and it's looking between the two humans constantly, but it's not trying to get as far away from the humans as it can anymore.

Donovan sighed and stopped trying to bait the Tauros over, gently tossing the half berry over in front of it "Alright, I get it. You don't like new people. Well I guess I'll have to stay here till I'm not new" He sits down on the ground cross legged, taking a page out of Mica's book. He could be stubborn too.

"Ron told you he was skittish, I don't think that is you being new it's-" Mica seemed to register the Miltank standing over her and her expression brightened. "Oh, hello! I like your barn, it is really nice in here. We were just talking to Ron about bringing you and your friend to a lot of other nice places. I know new things can be scary, but with friends everything is easier.". Mica wriggles and pantomimes a little as she talks, but doesn't actually get up.

The Miltank seems to ponder Mica, and her peculiar words and actions, before deciding that the best course of action is to try eating some of Mica's hair.
Its skittish compatriot, apparently emboldened by the fact that nobody is near the berry, gets up and takes a step towards it. And then takes a half step back, glancing at everything suspiciously, before it decides that it's safe to take another step forwards. Donovan receives the most attention, given that he's the closest to its intended destination.

No longer moving, Donovan just holds up his hands to show the Tauros that he wouldn't do anything, content to sit back and watch. He was out of tricks, nothing seeming to work on this little guy.

"Oh..." Mica trails off, watching the Miltank steadily chew on her hair as though it weren't of any great concern. "I think she likes my shampoo." She declared with cheerful enthusiasm, hugging around the cow's neck, giving her an affectionate scritch behind the ears.

Left to its own devices, the Tauros slowly snuffles forwards, before reaching the berry and gulping it down. It pauses for a moment, before looking around for more berries.
The Miltank, on the other hand, jumps a little at Mica's hug, but isn't able to wriggle out of the grip. She seems to be locked in an internal battle between annoyance at this weight hanging around her neck, and enjoying the ear scritches.
