As Gauss took the hit from the Frillish Axel scowled in frustration before ordering Gauss to attack the male Jellicent with a Thunder Fang. At least now the hunter knew their Ghost-Type was no longer existent, he could bring his Capsule Cannon back into play again. Though Gauss seemed to shake off the confusion briefly, the end result was still a clear miss by miles. "It doesn't seem this fight is going particularly in our favor..." Axel muttered. Gauss avoided Confusion damage. Gauss missed the Jellicent Gauss didn't save from Confusion.

Hoping to take one target out of the fight, Shoko throws a pokeball at a nearby frillish, however, it is no where near weak enough as the frillish quickly breaks out. Shoko, thoroughly annoyed at being delayed, motions to tilda remove these frillish from her sight. Shoko lands a pokeball hit but rolls a 4 to capture.
She will use her swift action to use brutal training on Tilda.

Tilda's turn: Spotting shoko's frustration, Tilda seizes the opportunity to earn some brownie points with her trainer. She darts through the air, flying around the impromptu battle field, positioning herself as far from the jellicent while still being able to target any grouped up frillish. She smiles and gives shoko a reassuring wink before turning to the frillish and releasing yet another large electrical web. The web lands and shocks the frillish; the impact still not entirely visible to the rest of the fighters. Tilda uses her sky 10 movement to reposition herself far away from Jellicent. She aims Electroweb so that she can hit as many frillish as possible for 50x1.5=75 damage.

"Hey, Smucker!" Axel addressed the Jellicent. "Your lil mutation caught me off guard before, but you're about to see why change isn't always a good thing!" Axel hadn't initially bothered shooting at the creature because he'd mistakenly assumed it was still a Ghost-Type, but with that defensive property no longer in play... Axel sank to one knee, steadying his Capsule Cannon with much trained skill as he took aim and fired. True to its design, the Bean Cap flew at the Jellicent and burst on impact. "Direct hit!" Axel confirmed with a grin. That now left him a Pester Ball, Pokéball and a Glue Capsule still pre-loaded. Axel scores a direct hit on the Jellicent with an AC of 10, dealing 30 Normal Physical-Typed damage before Defense is applied.

The Jellicent shivers before letting loose a blast of purple wind - it hits Tilda with Ominous Wind! (AC 12, 33 damage before defense). Gauss' turn.

Unfortunately for Gauss, though he managed to avoid injuring himself in his confused state, he also failed once again to injure the Jellicent, his Thunder Fang missing the floating pokémon completely as the Luxray attacked empty air.

Noticing that Tilda was looking a bit worse for wear, Shoko withdraws Tilda. "You did well today; rest up." Shoko opens up her coat to reveal Mirk again. "Mirk, can you help us out here?" She whispers as she caresses his head. Waking up from his nap, Mirks yawns and stares at Shoko. "Think you're up for it?" He gently wriggles loose from her, having been curled up around her just moments ago. After lightly rubbing up against her cheek, Mirk wriggles forward and positions himself in front of Shoko.
"Axel, hold off for a sec. Let Mirk handle the jellicent before going in."

Axel shrugged, gesturing politely to the Dragonair.
"After you."
One Pokéball left... Axel would have to make it count. Levelling his Capsule Cannon at the Jellicent Axel kept his finger twitching on the trigger, waiting for the opportune moment to strike.

Mirk thrusts forward to meet his opponent face to face and begins to wrap his body around it. He effortlessly binds the rather large intruder, ever thankful for having a ridiculously long body, and squeezes down on the Jellicent. Mirk bobs his head from side to side, prompting Shoko to smile and yell out, " Good job Mirk. Just hold it there for us!" Mirk successfully landed his grapple and won the opposing roll. Due to Mirk's Bind and Wrap, Jellicent loses 2 ticks of HP and is considered vulnerable. However, due to grappling, Mirk is also considered Vulnerable.

Axel paused, strategies running through his head as he considered the now bound prey in front of him.
"Mirk, hold it as long as you can! Ms Shoko, trust me, I've got a cunning plan..."

"Gauss, I need you buddy! Hit that thing!" The Luxray regarded Axel with a dazed stare of non-recognition for a moment before charging at the Jellicent and ramming into its side with gusto. Unfortunately the moment was somewhat ruined when the Luxray then proceeded to do the same to the railing of the ship. Axel winced, changing the active ammunition in the Capsule Cannon and firing off a Net Cap... barely snagging the Jellicent as it wrapped up the marine Pokémon. Well, that could have been deployed better, but results were what mattered. "Right, let's see what we can do now." Jellicent takes 31 Normal Typed Physical damage, before defenses.
Gauss takes 11 Damage from Confusion, fails his save.
Axel barely hits with the Net Cap.

The Jellicent is caught in a net, is being crushed by Mirk and just took a solid blow from Gauss. Despite this, it remains in the air, defiantly glaring at Mirk.

Proud of Mirk's handy work, Shoko gives him a thumbs up before turning to axel, "All yours. But make it quick, I've got a relaxing boat ride to get back to."

With practiced precision Axel aimed and fired the Capsule Cannon, striking the Jellicent dead on with the projectile Pokéball. As it fell to the floor of the deck Axel watched it shake and crossed his fingers...

The pokeball shakes, once, twice... Thrice and falls still, a soft ding sounding out. You caught a Jellicent! (Lv 27, you chose the nature, knows Water Pulse, Ominous Wind, Draining Kiss, Recover, Water Sport and Mist. Abilities are Magic Guard and Cursed Body) luckygrace has kept us waiting, so I am skipping her turn. It is now Horace's turn.

"Now that's how its done.. heh. Well now that I'm done scanning these... things its time to go back to teaching them manners. My friend you have won the award for the last opponent not asleep!" Horace runs into the fray and slams into the emerald tentacool, "But wait thats not all!" Horace screams with a gleeful smile before uppercutting the tentacool once more.

The emerald laden Tentacool collapses, leaving only the slumbering Topaz laden tentacool. It twitches viciously, obviously dreaming of something horrid, before its eyes snap open and it floats back into the air. It immediately launches a Water Pulse at the first foe it sees - Anubis the Lucario!(29 damage before defense)
Karla's turn

It was fairly successful last time on the Emerald so...
Karla lets loose another breath of icy snow at the Topaz Tentacool, but ends up aiming under it as it rises.
