As the fog continues to settle in on the boat, Shoko stays on guard while trying to calm the horsea wriggling in her hands. "You'll live." Ever the charmer, Shoko's dry expression seems to fail to reassure the water pokemon who now isn't sure whether she was safer near the sharpedo or this human. Feeling somewhat defeated in her minor socialization attempt, shoko walks to the edge of the boat. "If you want to go... then go. But I can't protect you down there. There are probably more sharpedo; they travel in groups. And who knows what this fog is about. You can choose to leave after we get you somewhere safe. Your choice. Down there on your own.... or in my coat's giant pocket." Shoko opens her coat to reveal her coat's inner pocket while loosening her grip slightly on the horsea.
As she waits for the horsea to make up its mind, Shoko can't help but wonder what the fiasco in the back of the boat is all about. "We better check that out too. Seems a bit more dangerous than this fog at the moment," she yells toward Axel.
"Diz, no!" Karla yells as her lil buddy slumps. She returns it and throws Sparkles out in its place, making sure not to throw it between her and the Emerald tentacool. "You'll pay for that!" And then she blows icy breath at the Tentacool, freezing it. Emerald tentacool takes 26 damage.
Grace rears back and swings her fist again, trying to get off another Vacuum wave off at the tentacruel. This time though, she actually sees the distorted air make contact with the large threat, getting a small cheer out of Anubis and her.
Sparkles, still looking a little green after the Tangela, unleashes an electric blast at Karla's target, the Emerald Tentacool. She hits it, and charges herself from the beam blast as she does.[30 special electric damage]
"More of them..." Shoko sighed. She opens up her coat slightly revealing Mirk. "Up for a battle?" Mirk gives her a quick look and nuzzles his face into her cheek before curling against her again and going back to sleep. "It's okay Mirk, you rest for now. Tilda... you know what to do!" As Tilda materializes next to Shoko, the vivillon shakes herself and stretches before deciding to perch herself atop Shoko. "Tilda... we need them gone."
Bayonet needed no encouragement to leap into the fray and engage the nearest Frillish, Axel ordering an immediate Faint Attack from the Sneasel. Like Ms Shoko, Axel also took to his Pokédex to find out more about the creatures opposing them.
Tilda wastes no time following shoko's orders, after all... this was a rare opportunity. To be sent out twice in a row and told to go all out? A time to show off her beautiful and wonderful power? What a glorious opportunity to show her dominance over others! These various thoughts raced through Tilda's mind. Aside from mind readers, only aura readers would be able to discern her evergrowing inner desire to display her superiority over these weaker creatures. As Tilda cried out, her wings began to glow with a yellow tinge before a volley of yellow streaks shot out. Though they flowed almost gently through the air, their impact was not nearly as delicate as shoko twitched slightly from the shock.
Tilda uses electroweb attempting to assert dominance over as many frillish as possible. She'll prioritize Axel's target last (if its still standing), hoping to show her strength against the fresh frillish first. Electroweb hits and crits due to +2 critical range from Brutal orders/training.
Electroweb deals 69 electric damage (103 if weak) in a range blast 2 .
The Frillish takes Bayonet's strike though it is immediately obvious that its wounds aren't as sever as you expected - and your pokedex scans reveal why - these Frillish posses the Fairy type instead of the Ghost type! Tilda's Electro Web hits the unharmed pair of Frillish - and they too are barely standing! The mist thins around them as the web disintegrates - their Speed was unaffected!
As your pokemon go on the offensive a larger shape looms out of the mist - a mustachioed pink Jellicent that launches an Ominous Wind at Tilda! (35 special ghost typed damage) The Frillish drift into melee, attempting to kiss their opponents - 2 land a Draining Kiss on Bayonet and the third successfully smooches Tilde! (27 and 31 super effective special damage on Bayonet, 35 special damage on Tilde)
Shoko immediately pulls out a pokeball and prepares to catch one of the two weak frillish. However, some rocking of the boat causes her to lose her balance, dropping her ball. She turns to Tilda, locks eyes with her and points to the still standing frillish. "Remove them."

Damn these mutations... every assumption, every gut-instinct was rendered obsolete, null and void by their unnatural states and Bayonet had paid the price for his lack of foresight. Recalling the wounded Sneasel back to her Pokéball, Axel began to formulate a new strategy as he released Gauss to the battlefield.
It took the Luxray but a few seconds to figure out where he was by the sway of the sea's effect on the boards under his feet. A displeased growl rippled from Gauss, signalling his discomfort.
"I had no choice partner. Quicker we take out these marine pests the quicker you can go back in, okay?" Axel reassured the feline.
It seemed Axel's promise was sufficient motivation for Gauss, the Luxray looking very eager to battle.
Seeing the big tentacruel go down was a huge relief to both Grace and Anubis. "Alright! Good job big guy, though we're not done yet! Quick, bullet punch the next one!" She'll order pointing at the one closest to the two fighters. Anubis zips forward, his fist once again going at incredible speeds.
Horace stays back and begins to scan the Tentacools, "Probably want to do this before they go down... I'll stay back here for now and get back in the fight once they're scanned. Gulliver end this quickly for me please." Horace staggers a bit due to pain but is determined to end this his way.
Never one to pass up an opportunity to show off its strength, Tilda shoots out a string to zip across the battle away from the frillish but near the jellicent. She begins to rapidly flap her wings conjuring up a gust in an attempt to damage the much larger foe.

The Jellicent spins in the wind, surprised by the blow! It immediately responds with an Ominous Wind! 29 Damage! The least wounded Frillish launches a Water Pulse at Gauss! It's a Critical Hit! 43 Damage! Gauss is Confused! The other two Frillish activate their Interference Ability! All Foe's AC is lowered by 4!
The ice surrounding the Emerald Tentacool's jelly-like body shatters, even as it resists Anubis' blow! The Tentacool is no long Frozen! It wasn't Very Effective! The Emerald Tentacool fires back a Water Pulse at Anubis! But it missed! The Topaz Tentacool aims a Water Pulse at Gulliver! It does 30 damage! The Pearl Tentacool launches a Water Pulse at Sparkles! But it missed!
Seeing the Tentacool break free Karla gets a bit upset. "Ah no I had him trapped!" Karla pulls out one of her Ultra Balls and tries to catch the hopefully weakened Pearl Tentacool near Sparkles. She nails the Tentacool with the ball and waits to see if it is caught.
"Gulliver, you look extra terrifying right now... does that mean its ready? Gulliver gives off a revealing chuckle as it approaches the Topaz Tentacool menacingly. "Sweet dreams you little beast" The tentacool then falls straight to sleep and begins twitching as if it was panicking after Gulliver stares straight into its eyes.
Haunting Curse with 4 tokens=Falls asleep with bad dreams then uses ghost step.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
