Horace's face turns sour, "Now I warned you didn't I? You should have ran while you could." Horaces eyes turn red as his club turns shadowy. Charging at the Tentacruel he yells as its shadow darts from his hand and hits the Tentacruel. "How nice a new trick... I hope that hurt." A menacing smirk then cracks out of Horace's face

The Tentacruel flinches back from the super effective attack, but remains floating. The three Tentacool drift forward, gems glowing before they each unleash a beam of light. Emerald Tentacool's Signal Beam missed Anubis! Topaz Tentacool's Charge Beam hit Horace! Horace takes 30 damage! Pearl Tentacool's Aurora Beam critically hit Diz! Diz takes 57 damage! Diz's Attack is lowered!
Gulliver sees the fight going on and knows its his time to play. After casually walking up to the Tentacruel and using spite along the way so that pesky tentacool can't hurt Horace any more Gulliver blasts it with a confuse ray hitting the Tentacruel as Horace chimes in,"Hit that thing while its down!" Gulliver then takes advantage of the Tentacruels confusion by swiping at its eyes in order to blind it as he laughs and laughs.
Charge beam is disabled using Spiteful Intervention. When its turn starts Command Versatility to lose torment in order to gain spite back. Confuse ray hits into blind dirty maneuver using trickster feature. Blind hits Stealth Check is 22 (which tentacruel cant beat)

Seeing the snarling, flailing Sharpedo futilely flopping around on the deck after Tilda's attack, Axel wasted no time in producing a Basic Ball from a pocket and hurling it at the barely conscious Brutal Pokémon.
As the colored sphere left his hand there was silence... followed by a distant splash.
"Balls!" Axel cursed, his Sneasel Bayonet hiding a smirk of amusement on her face.
Shoko wordlessly grabs a basic ball and prepares to throw it at the sharpedo. Mid-throw the boat's sudden movements caused her to loose her footing sending the ball flying through the air with shoko struggling to stay standing. Thinking for a moment, Shoko grabs Tilda's pokeball and recalls her. "All on you now," shoko quips, "I'm bored with this one."
The Sharpedo grins at Shoko, carefully showing off the pokeball it caught between its teeth before biting down and crushing the ball. It then lunges at Bayonet, Aqua Jetting into the Sneasel (37 physical damage).
(Assuming Axel doesn't want Sneasel to KO the shark) Front Fight: Initiative:

As his Sneasel slid back a few steps from the force of the Aqua Jet's impact, Axel took charge of the situation.
"Bayonet, stand down. We got this."
Leveling his Capsule Cannon at the beast before him, Axel pulled the trigger with determination. For a fleeting moment it looked like the Sharpedo would manage to dodge but whatever damage Tilda had done to it moments before was enough to slow down its reflexes, the Pokéball neatly bouncing off its fin and initiating the capture procedure. A few tense wobbles later, the Basic Ball settled and stayed dormant.
With a grin at Shoko, Axel retrieved the Sharpedo's ball and stowed it away with the other two.
"Couldn't have done it without any of you. Thank you very much."
Not needing to hear Horrace's little suggestion for going for the big guy, Grace hums for a few moments concentrating, before punching at the Tentacruel's direction. Swinging at such a speed, it causes a crack in the air, but the attack goes wide of the Tentacruel. Which all and all, just causes a great annoyance for the supposed victim, and a little bit of anger for the one that whiffed it. Anubis on the other hand was chuckling to himself.
As Axel and Shoko finish their battle, the first few wisps of mist start to creep over the deck. Looking at the oncoming cloud you see that it is primarily grey, though it is tinged pink at the edges, darkening towards the centre, which the ferry is heading straight towards.
Diz recovers from the beam and rushes in to counterattack the Pearl Tentacool! He spins around and hits it with dizzying punch! The jellyfish takes the full blow to its gellatinous face, jiggling from the force.
Seeing the pokeball click, Shoko makes a mental note to bop that sharpedo on the nose for its previous transgression. "I don't remember this area being foggy." Shoko glances over at Axel, "What's your take on this?"
Post by MagisterSphinx on Mar 11, 2016 13:24:08 GMT
Axel strains his eyes, but he can't see anything beyond a few darker, roughly spherical patches of mist
The pearly Tentacool takes the blow easily, its eyes now locked onto Diz's. Meanwhile the floating Tentacruel shimmers, looking beyond the fight before glaring at Horace, sending a powerful Bubblebeam into the jester. The Tentacruel is no longer Confused! Horace takes 34 damage! Horace's speed drops by 1 stage! (Horace may be KO'd) Gulliver may make an Intercept check (Acrobatics check DC 1...) to take the attack instead.
Shoko walks up to the unconscious horsea and picks it up. She begins to gently poke it's cheek to see if it will wake up. But as the fog begins to cover a greater part of the boat, Shoko begins to look around to see if she can spot anything.

The Horsea weakly responds, gently trilling at Shoko as it opens its eyes, only to start panicking and thrashing as it catches sight of the slowly deepening mist. Shoko looks into the mist and sees several drifting shapes within it. The closest is round with several streamer like shapes following along behind it. As the shape approaches the mist deepens further, the shape clearly acting as a source.
Grace points forward at the distracted Tentacruel, "Alright Anubis! Quick use bulletpunch!" Hearin' her call out behind him, he nods his head and takes a deep breath before letting it out. In a near instant, Anubis zips forward at a rediculous speed, and punches at the Tentacruel. With a firm strike, the fist makes contact with the main body. At that, both the trainer and the pokemon give a small cheer.
Gulliver intercepts the blow from tentacruel to save Horace and gives the tentacruel an angry stare disabling its move before trying to pull its nose and slam it into the ground in its confused state in order to stun it. "Trying to take me down ehh...not your best idea." Horace growls at the Tentacruel, "Lets see if that agressive nature stays after a couple moths with me." Horace takes a greatball out of his pack and throws it at the tentacruel with a connect a likely capture. He then walks back with an overconfident look on his face to let Gulliver finish the fight with himself away from any more harm.
Gulliver intercepts, spite against the bubble beam, 1AP for trickster into low blow (Which hits and is a 14 which is above a standard tentacruels range). Tentacreul is most likely vulnerable now. Horace hits with a pokeball with a capture roll of 14 (only including great ball modifiers)

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

Hello anyone out there!

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
