Hearing the price is more in line with what she believed everyone could still afford, Karla happily pays up her share, $200. Once their on board she heads up to the top deck where she could most enjoy the scenery of the ride. She lets both her Pokémon out to enjoy the trip. Sparkles decides to occupy one of the human sun chairs, and spends the entire time resting there. Diz is enjoying the waves and the rocking motion of the ship. He dances on deck, showing off how well he can keep his balance amid all this rocking! (Even if it's not all that much) Karla alternated between leaning on the edge and looking out over the surrounding areas, and watching or playing with Diz.

Conveniently as if on cue, the self-employed Pokémon Chaser walked onto the front deck at that very moment, his Luxray now back in its ball for the voyage as Gauss didn't get on well with seasickness.
"Nice to find a fellow fishing enthusiast." Axel commented, the gruff hunter almost showing a smile on his face for the first time so far in the journey.
A quick examination of the two Rods led Axel to suggest they take it in turns to fish, preferring to use the superior implement. Thankfully lures were provided which saved him having to use precious bait.
Shoko set the old rod to the side as she prepared the good rod. She turned to Axel stating, "I may require assistance reeling in." Mirk once again chose to chime in, deciding to instead opt for a quick bat of the eyes and head tilt at Axel as Shoko asked for assistance.
"I will use you for bait if you imply I should ask like that."
Shoko karate chops Mirk gently on the head before extending the good rod and giving it a toss.

he glass lure skims the surface, catching the light and glimmering beautifully. Because of this no one should be surprised when a majestic bird pokemon dives into the water and snatches it, clearly intending to keep it for itself. The pokemon is a huge Fearow, it's feathers the colour of the ocean and it's crest a beautifully iridescent yellow. After it's short plunge into the water the Fearow returns to the air, almost yanking Shoko off of her feet. With Axel's assistance the manages to reel the Fearow in a little, causing it to release the lure before diving for the deck, flaring's it's huge wings before it hits and screeches it's dominance, clearly ready to battle as some other passengers vacate the deck.
Meanwhile in the passenger lounge Horace's prank spree is cut short by a green haired man standing up and angrily confronting him. "Return your Haunter to it's ball immediately, or I will be forced to pursue punitive action." He says through gritted teeth. Numerous other irritated passengers seem to be agreeing with him as a harried woman selling refreshments looks worried.
On the rear deck Graces sees a glint of purple and hears a strange rising cry, but her and several others can't make out where it came from. (Perception check to find out)
On the top deck Karla can clearly see the Fearow and a bloom of Tentacool with purple spots, as well as a Sharpedo that is easily keeping up with the boat despite clearly trying to dodge numerous green tendrils made of something that resembles seaweed.
"Ohh dear what is that, it sounds like somebody is in trouble!" Horace says quickly as he turns around, trying to distract people from their anger and slip away in the confusion. Seeing the lady's fear he takes out the $170 giving it to her saying, "Sorry to cause a commotion for ya, its who I am. Take this its all I have and have a nice day!" He then quickly goes to the rear deck as he had planned previously.
Seeing the Seaweed thing attacking a shark, Karla figures it might soon mess with the boat too. Better to turn it away now. "Sparkles, get up here and psybeam the seaweed over there", she says, pointing towards it, before yelling at it "You hear that you filthy seaweed, I'm gonna mess you up!"

After a brief battle where the majestic Fearow was swiftly beat down by Bayonet and Mirk and captured by Shoko, the front deck returns to relative calmness. As Remington prepares for his turn with the rod several other passengers return, though there are more trainers than day trippers than before.
In his swiftness, Horace manages to reach the rear deck as Grace manages to make out the bloom of Tentacool floating in the wake of the ship. Each of these Tentacool posses uniquely coloured gems in place of the crystal like spots they usually posses. Leading the group is a Tentacruel with purple crystals, but among the bloom are Tentacool with yellow, red, pink, green and white gems.
The mocked seaweed tendrils reach out and grab the ferry's railing, pulling a shiny Tangela with seaweed-like vines from the ocean and opposite Karla. The Sharpedo tears itself free of the much smaller mass of tentacles, clearly fighting another of the Tangela.
"Just think of how good a Pokémon seaweed wrap would be for my skin!!! I must have it!" Karla declares, seeing just what the 'monster' turned out to be. Her mind briefly turning to thoughts of spa days before clicking back into serious mode, her hand already drawing the Ultra Ball she planned to use. Sparkles was already on the task of defending her trainer, unleashing a fierce psychic attack as her eyes glow with energy.

Taking the Good Rod from Shoko, Axel examined it to make sure everything was still in working order before casting it over the side into the watery depths and waited... and waited... and waited... for fifteen minutes. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. None. Bupkiss.
Axel offered the Good Rod back to Shoko with a scowl on his face.
"Mabbe you'd better see if you can fish something up again... buggers don't seem to be biting for me today."
Seeing the odd Tentacruel and Tentacools Horace decides to scan them as best he can without angering them until they take a more decisive action that could endanger the ferry or if a situation arose where he could interact with the creatures without it interfering in the Ferry's business as he was already probably in trouble with it. "Odd creatures over there" Horace says towards Grace "Would you mind making sure I don't fall off the boat while I try to scan the creatures?" Horace then scans the Tentacruel and any other Tentacools his Poketch can reach. He makes sure to track them for the rest of the trip so he could hopefully interact with them in a more direct way after the boat stops or nears shore. After scanning all can he messages the other members of the team telling them of what he sees.
Having had a previous success, Shoko's boredom began to alleviate. Noticing that Axel was having trouble finding anything else Shoko decided to step in, "Hand me that would you?" As she grabs the rod from Axel, she gives it a good shake. "Begone~ bad vibes~" she chants in her usual monotone voice.
Shoko give the good rod a quick whip and casts her line over the side yet again.
Grace Looks over the edge of the ship after trading a few punches with Anubis, curious to see what was coming up behind the ship. Spotting the tentacruels and their off colored crystals, she whips out her pokedex trying to scan any of them that managed to get close enough to let her do that. She was more curious about the ones that didn't have the normal red crystals. With Horace's request, "Sure, just as long as you don't pull me over." Grace says in good humor. At that, Anubis and Grace grabs onto him keeping him from going overboard. Eve even takes a mouth full of pant leg trying to help out, and is at the ready to dive in after him if he needs it. With the other hand free, Grace tries to do her own scanning.

After a surprisingly one sided battle against three mutated Tangelas, Karla come out victorious with the assistance of a wild Sharpedo and captured one of the Tangelas.
Between the two of them, Horace and Grace manage to scan the Tentacruel and two of the Tentacool in the swarm, though the rest are just that little bit out of reach of the pokdex's portable scanner. The Tentacruel seems to notice being scanned, its crystals flashing before it starts rising out the water in response, malevolently glaring at you as it starts to approach.
Shoko's casting of the rod is once more immediately rewarding as something starts pulling on the rod. As Rmeington assists her in reeling the pokemon in, the fin of a Sharpedo surfaces clearly and successfully fighting against your combined efforts. As the shark's mouth occasioanlly is forced above the water you catch glimpses of a blue pokemon in it's mouth.
Horace gulps as he pulls at his Collar. "Uhh this probably isn't good... apparently this Tentacruel shares a common hatred of photography with Axel and Shoko" Horace says as he chuckles to himself. "And to think I came back here to get away from trouble. Looks like we have a fight on our hands!" Horace quickly looks at Grace in a sign of confidence and then yells "A Tencruel is attacking the ship! I shall save you all!" in an attempt to hopefully appease those who own the ferry. Horace then turns to Gulliver, "We've gone through this before, the moment that thing attacks us you are going to confuse it. This time we are going to wait till it strikes for uhh... liability reasons. You ready? Horace then turns to Grace, " How bout you, are you joining in on the heroics or is this a one man show?"
"Gulliver, we have to assert our dominance right here or now... show that Tentacruel that we can look meaner than it!"
Grace knows that she isn't one of the most intimidating people, but considering Anubis, Eve, horace and his pokemon were next to her, they could probably scare off the pokemon. Dropping into a fighting stance ready for anything, she was ready in wait, until Horace starts talking about saving the ship, and a decent amount of theatrics. It threw her off a tad until she realized his question. "Y-yeah! I mean I don't have the best for this fight until they get closer, but I'm not going to skip out on it if I can help it!" She said returning to her stance with a slightly cocky smile on her face. "Get Ready Eve, you're the one that has more range than either of us."She said to the vaporeon, which just gives a nod in response.

By working together Shoko and Remington are able to wrest the Sharpedo on to the deck, though it is touch and go initially. Once on board the Sharpedo spits out a Horsea tangled in the fishing line. Even as the shark grins and readies itself for combat, Shoko notices a heavy cloud of mist directly in the boats path, a solid grey faintly tinged with pink.
((The Tentacruel's aura is a dark purple, hostile curiosity obvious in its eyes.)) As the Tentacruel continues to drift forwards, the bloom of Tentacool shining brighter and brighter. The Tentacruel eyes both Horace and Grace but clearlyisn't intending violence yet.
"So Grace you want to bring the fight to it or did ya want to try to avoid fighting if necessary? I'm partial to either but this Tentacruel has a lot of backup that can do a lot of damage." Horace puts away his Poketech in the hope that it was what was angering the creature wanting a fun fight but iffy at the amount of pokemon it could anger.Though he still pulls out his club in case a fight ends up happening. Gulliver, now finished making faces at the Tentacruel, is standing still and serious ready to fight back if need be. "We come in peace!" Horace yells sarcastically at the Tentacruel.
From the top deck she sees the fog bank approaching from the front and the glow coming from behind... Well ships should be capable of dealing with fog, but I don't like the look of that glow. She recalls Diz as well and makes for the aft of the ship, hoping at least one other of her team is there. Sparkles is already pretty hurt and she doesn't want her getting too injured. Maybe it's not even anything dangerous., she hoped.
"Personally, I'd rather not go diving in to go mano y mano, sooo... yeah. Personally, I'm willing to fight it if it actually comes on the ship, or close enough for me to vacuum punch it." She said practicing the move a few times at the air, not actually making it a ranged attack... yet. "Though at this rate, I think it's more willing to come to us." She said right before Horace sarcastically shouted out. "That... works too I guess."

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
