Ah, so that's the kind of attention Leyl's attracting. Nora could let it happen, since it's not like the girls would get much for their troubles.
Or...
With a thought, Nora gives Leyl a light shove out of the girls' path, letting them fall where they may. "The ground's a bit uneven here, isn't it?" Nora says to Leyl during the aftermath, hardly bothering to suppress a smirk towards him and the girls. "We should watch where we step."

"Thank you for telling us this, Salil," Leyl said. Then those two girls 'tripped'. Leyl was about to try and stop them from falling to the ground, when he was rudely yanked out of place, leaving tracks in the sandy ground. "Nora!" Leyl exclaimed in surprise. He tried to make sure the kids didn't hurt themselves in the fall. "Are you alright, kids?"

Definitely shocked by the turn of events, the girls tumble to the ground ungracefully without anyone or anything to break their fall. The girl with two braids scowls in confusion as she gets up and brushes off the dirt from her dress, but the single-braided twin looks almost giddy that Leyl still paid them attention. "I-I'm so sorry, sir! We're okay, really! You're not hurt, are y- Ouch!" she yelps as she fails to stand up straight away, then touches her right ankle sadly. "It's not your fault! We're just so clumsy sometimes..." Her brash sister butts in at this point. "Yeah, right! What kind of man are you, not even trying to help! Are you gonna do anything about this? My dear big sis got hurt because of you!" "Amina!" Medicine Ed DC 10 The injured girl just has a simple sprained ankle, nothing serious. She should be able to walk on it by herself without too much discomfort. Intuition DC 15 The injured girl is using her ankle to try and gain some sympathy points, whereas Amina's harassment is mainly to get something out of the failed plan, though she is legitimately upset for her sister being hurt.

"I suppose that's a bit cold of me, isn't it?" Nora says in response to Leyl. After a moment's consideration Nora gives a little sigh. "Alright, let's see what the damage is," she relents, kneeling close to investigate the girl's ankle. Nora gives a genuine effort to determine the injury, she really does. Unfortunately she's still a little too fatigued to give it her full concentration, and it doesn't help that the girl's sister is very loudly sharing her opinions regarding this whole affair. "You probably twisted it falling down," Nora says with a shrug, giving her best guess. She pulls some bandages out of her pack and treats the ankle, wrapping it tightly to limit its movement and compress any swelling that might occur. This isn't the first time she's treated something like this, what with caring after little Toby. Like his mother when she was young, Nora's son likes to run with the local commoners' children in Kadjethus, and he's earned his fair share of minor injuries as such un-sheltered children do. Nora wonders how old these two girls are? "Just don't walk on it too much for a few days. If it doesn't get any better, you should see your town healer. Understood?"Nora uses her Medical Kit, Draining 1 AP for to heal the girl for 13 Hit Points

Emir whirls around, startled by the commotion.
He goes to help the girls up, but is pre-empted - first by the younger sister standing herself and the older stumbling, then by the younger sister's tirade.
"Of course, I do apologize, my ladies, for allowing myself to become distracted." He turns back to Salil. "And, indeed, to you, sir, for... much the same reason." He looks between the two, briefly conflicted about who to focus on, before deciding that Nora seems to have the matter in hand for the moment and that abandoning the conversation would be marginally more rude. As such, he turns fully back to Salil.
"If you can provide us with directions to Al-Fajr's residence, it would be appreciated. Although, given that we may take a detour to help these ladies home, they would perhaps be better written down." He finishes with a slightly helpless smile.

Salil's mood actually seems to sour once his attention is brought to the girls' interruption, and the man yells at them, "You two! How many times do I have to tell you to stop bothering the patrons?" The twins immediately shrink in embarrassment and stammer out, "W-we're sorry! Don't tell Papa or Grandma!" Salil sighs and tells Emir, "If you are going to assist them home anyway, you're in luck, as the destination is the same. Al-Fajr currently lives with her son and his family, which include these troublemakers." He sternly frowns at the girls, who are pleading desperately with wide eyes. "All right, I'll forgive you two this time if you take these three gracious folks to your home and introduce them to your grandmother. They traveled here to meet her, and with the trouble you've caused them already, it's the least you can do. Understood?" They look at each other then nod vigorously. "Yes, Salil!" The injured twin wobbles onto her feet, feeling out her balance as her sister supports her, and turns to Nora with an apology. "Thank you!" "Don't say that! They're why you're hurt in the first place!" "She still treated me!"

Leyl felt a little guilty about the whole affair, especially one of the twins getting injured, but refrained from saying anything further as he followed them home, giving a final solemn nod of thanks to Salil.

"As I recall, you're the ones who happened to trip in front of us, and it's no one's fault your sister got hurt. Unless you're saying there's more to it than that?" Nora asks the angry sibling with a knowing smirk. "Let's just put this little accident behind us, alright? And next time? At least try to be more subtle about it."
After that exchange, Nora follows along with the rest. She offers once or twice to help carry the injured sibling. After all, it was kind-of Nora's fault she got hurt, even if she didn't instigate the matter.

Emir follows along after bidding Salil farewell. He almost goes to off his help in carrying the older sister, only to realize that, at his height, that'd be more that a little awkward and probably slow them down more than anything.
Still, he doesn't feel right being unable to help so, after a moment's thought, he picks up Uzza so she's sitting on his arm and whispers to her. She nods slowly.
As they travel, Emir occasionally tries to surreptitiously take a few leaves from any plants they pass (as few as there are in a desert town) so that Uzza can craft a makeshift wrap for the young lady's ankle. It probably won't make much of a difference, but it gives both of them something to do.

Amina grumbles a little but drops the matter with Nora and focuses on helping her sister. After a minute or so of walking, the two seem to be holding their own just fine and refuse the group's assistance, though there are an occasional few stumbles when the injured girl pushes herself to go faster. Before long, they guide the group to the draped entrance of a straw-and-brick house towards the desert edge of town, mostly notable because it's slightly larger than most of the ones that they passed on the way and the striking crimson covering looks like a tapestry depicting a fierce battle. Before letting them enter, Amina lifts aside the cloth and peeks her head in first, shouting out, "Grandma, we're home! Salil asked us to bring some guests! They wanna talk to you!" Though the response isn't audible from outside, it appears all goes well since Amina motions everyone to follow her into the house. Once inside, the group sees that everything looks a little bland due to the building material, but pops of color from the handmade blankets and other clothworks lying about on the floor and on some looms, both complete and incomplete, make the home feel much more alive. As for the structure of the house, the room they enter appears to be a large, multi-purpose living and sleeping quarters, with straw-filled beds and mats on one side and a cooking area towards the back. There is, however, an opening in the wall that extends into a smaller room. After making sure her sister is safely on one of the beds, Amina hurries to the back room, eventually returning with an elderly woman of similar height who is wearing a clean and simple taupe dress. She has thin and wiry gray hair, only down to her neck, and her pale blue eyes have aged with poor vision as she narrows them to see her guests more closely, though it is immediately clear that they still bear a burning passion for life. After sitting down on one of the few chairs in the room, she finally addresses them. "Welcome, travelers. I am Zerain, bearing the title of Al-Fajr. Forgive me for being so forward, but who are you, and what is your purpose here?" Uzza creates a Woven Leaf Wrap (Heals 5 HP)

After he finishes applying the wrap to the injured young lady's ankle, Emir turns and bows to Zerain.
"Good day, my lady." He says as he finishes his bow, then introduces himself and his partners as he had to Salil, partially out of respect and partially to work out how to answer her question. After all, simply coming out and saying "We want to be gods!", while certainly succinct, would perhaps be unwise.
After a moment's thought, he decides to try building up to it.
"As for why we are here, well, we are on... I suppose one might call it a quest and we were hoping you might, at your discretion, of course, provide us with some advice and guidance. It is possible you may be unable to help, but I suspect you may know something. You see, it has to do with... matters of divinity."

After all that anticipation of meeting with a 'great warrior', Nora is as surprised as anyone would be when instead a tiny old lady appears to greet the party. Of course, Nora knows better than most people that looks aren't necessarily a good indicator of strength.
"The more pertinent question is what we are," Nora adds bluntly to Emir's winding approach. She adds softly, "and we would like to know if you've had the Dream."

"I don't have much to add, my friend explained it all rather well, however, perhaps one thing might make our purpose a little clearer," Leyl said, speaking humbly. He reached into his pack, and pulled out that fateful blossom. "Do you perhaps recognize this?"

Zerain listens patiently to the group, but shakes her head at the talk of divinity and dreams. She is about to speak when Leyl shows her the wisteria, and the old woman stares at it in disbelief before choking back tears. "I thought this day would never come. I've waited for so long!" Her hands are trembling as she reaches for the flower and, if Leyl allows her to take it, cradles it in her palms. Her twin granddaughters come over and hug her gently with smiles. The older sister excitedly asks Zerain, "That means we don't have to leave, right, Grandma? They're gonna fix everything. You don't have to worry anymore."

Leyl was quite taken aback by the reaction he got, though he allowed Zerain to hold the wisteria. He'd expected acknowledgement, but not this kind. Leyl smiles somewhat warily at the family's joy. "What exactly were you waiting for, and what are we supposed to fix? Can you tell us more?"

A crease forms in Nora's brow as she tries to understand what suddenly brought on this family moment. Did this old lady Zerain know anything about the group's dream messenger or not? Then Nora's brow smooths as her eyebrows raise, as a thought occurs to her.
"Is it you girls?" Nora asks of the twins. "Do you know anything about this?"

Emir simply raises an eyebrow. It hadn't occurred to him to simply show the flower, so he's happy about that, but this reaction does somewhat surprise him.
Then again, he had noted that Zerain said that she "bore the title of Al-Fajr". He keeps quiet for a moment, assuming that an explanation is forthcoming.

The girls look at each helplessly as they try to find the words to answer Nora. "I mean, of course we know what happened. Grandma told us when we were little." "That's why we know she's been waiting years and years for you, even before Dad was born." "You can help her, right?" Before they can get too worked up, Zerain silences them with a wave of her hand and proceeds to explain with somber eyes. "She, the wishmaker's sister, told me that someday, someone would come with that flower who could help release me from my pact. With every second, it dooms this town the closer I approach death. You can understand why I am so pitifully desperate, no? I do not want my home to cease with me."

Emir's eyes widen for a moment as Zerain's words suddenly makes sense.
"Ah, I believe I understand. The power you have used to defend this town came with a cost, am I correct? This doom you speak of? Is it direct or simply because, well, in order to defend this town, there must exist enemies to defend it from?" He pauses for a moment before continuing. "Whichever is the case, though I cannot speak for my colleagues, I would readily aid you in this endeavour."

"Are we saviors? Well... perhaps." Nora glances to Leyl and especially Emir, as he volunteers himself for whatever the family thinks the trio are here for, with a slight smirk. That's certainly what the they were going for in the long run, but not in whatever way this family was thinking. "Though if we're here to help you, Fate hasn't thought to warn us until now. I'd appreciate if you could tell us what you're on about, from the beginning if you would."
