Today marked a special occasion. It was of course the day of your appointment with your League Agent and therefore the start of your participation in the Gym Circuit. In the morning, a massive Talonflame large enough to carry two people appeared with a rider before your residence bearing the credentials of a League Official. The riders were rather stoic and professional and the howling winds as you flew left little room for idle conversation. As such, it was an uneventful journey to Aquacorde Town, the place of your rendezvous with your future teammates and League Agent. The message you had received officially in writing, as well as per email said that you were to meet in an office building belonging to the League. Once you exited the Pokemon Airport, you were chauffeured via a not too luxurious, but also not too shabby taxi to the central plaza. As a town with a population of approximately 150,000 people, Aquacorde Town wasn't too big, but it wasn't exactly small either, and the central plaza was proof of that. Shops and cafés lined the streets around a gathering and sitting area at the center of which a big stone fountain was placed. As the name suggested, Aquacorde Town was proud of its association with water, stemming from the canals that lined the town. Living here was quite more expensive than the size of the town suggested as it was such a visual treat, having ended up as something of a tourist trap as a result. The office building your designated League Agent was waiting in, was the League Embassy on Ford Street, which was quite close to the central plaza. It wasn't too much of a walk. The building is two stories tall and as you enter, you are met with a reception area. It looks a lot more impressive than a lot of receptions you've been in, with red carpet, light brown walls and decorated with framed images of Trainers with their Pokemon. If you remember your history lessons well, you may be reminded of old photos taken inside the Indigo Plateau building before it was destroyed. It's not quite as lavish, but hints of historic glory can be seen. After signing in as visitor, showing your letter or email via electronic device as proof of your business, you were asked to take a seat by the receptionist, a young red haired woman. Once all three of you have arrived and signed in, you wait a few awkward moments longer, before being called by the receptionist. "Please head through the door on my right and up the stairs, your League Agent will be in room 3." You do as she says, and enter the room. Greeting you is a well decorated and spacious office with three large windows. At a decent sized wooden conference table in the center of the room sits an elderly lady. She gets up, walking towards you and shakes your hands. "Hi," she says. "I'm Zayna Selim, your League Agent." She motions to the seats around the table. "Please sit anywhere you like." Once you all are seated she smiles at you. "As your League Agent, I'm supposed to be something of a guide on your travels, so please don't feel intimidated by how official this all seems. So, I know who you are of course, but we're still all strangers to each other. Please share a little about yourself, a little of your history, things you enjoy, what you're looking forward to, or are planning to do on your journey, that sort of thing." "Allow me to start. You already know my name, but I've been in employ of the Kalos League for 40 years now, though I started in the military, only becoming an Agent when I retired. I enjoy exercise and solving puzzles in my spare time. Alright, who's next?"

Teresa remarked to herself that these birds could possibly be modified for more passenger weight, if fine tuned enough. Enhancing their muscle systems would be key in such an event. She was also pleased at the lack of conversation she encountered, she really didn't like dealing with idle chatter that had no point. It gave her plenty of time to come up with ideas on how to improve the Talonflame line.
When she finally touched down proper, Teresa only looked over the place briefly, it had potential, being near at least two different types of ecosystems, maybe even a third, she hadn't really tried to look hard enough to notice. As such there were plenty of Pokemon around the town itself, if you went looking for them. Regardless of those stray thoughts, she enjoyed how brief the trip was to the meeting, giving the driver a proper farewell before she entered the office. She was experienced in legal matters, at least more than average due to her position, and quickly signed in. When they were finally called, Teresa immediately followed instructions, getting into the room.
After getting her hand shook by Zayna,Teresa looked rather neutral, her face giving away nothing. She payed little attention to the two others,at least for now. Her eyes strayed to the older woman, making sure their eyes met, she knew this was necessary, and that was the only real reason she complied with this social exercise. When Zayna gave them a cue, Teresa went to sit down, crossing over her left leg with her right. When Zayna had finally finished her complete introduction, and also gave them instructions on what to do, Teresa took a breath, intending to get this over with swiftly.
"My name is Teresa Talcott, I am a Junior Executive at Cephalon's R&D Division, my team is currently assigned elsewhere while I am doing this. I enjoy my work, designing the best of the best. I am looking forward to battling in the league, as well as taking the opportunity to develop more designs."
She gave a pause for a short moment, before actually bothering to look over at the other two in the room. "Next would be one of you, correct?"

Eliza's heart is filled with both excitement and trepidation at the day. Excited, because it seemed like it would probably be a whole lot of fun. Nervous... because there was still that looming specter of her agreement hanging over her. She isn't sure what yet it'll be exactly.
Her parents, at least, don't seem to worried... mainly because, she assumes, they're just extremely happy that she finally seems to have a course for life, and isn't just going to amount to nothing. So... no pressure there.
Thankfully, she's soon distracted by the giant Talonflame and the ride to worry about it much. By the time of landing in Aquacorde, she isn't quite sure how she feels about flying. The view is terrific, and the sensation of speed is something else... but her stomach doesn't exactly agree with it, and is certainly glad to be back on the ground.
Walking towards the rendezvous point, she's struck by how much comparatively smaller the place is compared to Lumiose. Far less giant buildings, and it seems... a little more natural. Though the walk isn't very far, she doesn't rush, just taking in the spectacle before having to head into the building. While she'd seen pictures of outside Lumiose before, and videos, and all that... this is the first time she'd ever done the real deal.
Eventually, though, she makes it to the reception, and signs in, before taking in the interior for the duration before being called up.
At the Agent's introduction, Eliza enthusiastically shakes the woman's hand, before looking around a the other people.
"Well, I'd assume so," she says, with some mirth at the other's comment, looking around over-exaggeratedly, "unless we're waiting for a fourth for the three-person team." She gives a wink at the other - even though the girl isn't looking at her - before saying "You should really loosen up some. You aren't in the office anymore, after all."
She herself certainly couldn't be mistaken for someone in a serious corporate position. Red is the colour of the day, with her shoes, loose fitting shirt, and pants all primarily of a colour close to the shade of her hair. On the little bit of exposed skin that she has, including her hands, there's a pattern of pale blue light playing over her skin - almost like tattoos - in much the shape of circuitry. She's in the techno mood today.
"Aaaanyhow, I'm Eliza Aleph," she says, looking between the other two as she speaks, "and I'm here because, well, I guess, this seems like a pretty fun adventure. Meet a lot of people, see places, stuff like that. Oh, wait... I missed some things. I, uh... I guess I don't really do that much... I was kinda in the process of trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I got into battling, and, well, this opportunity came up. Oh, and I like battling with Pokémon, I enjoy working with computers... uh, the code part, not the actual mechanical stuff, that really wasn't fun, and I was a little garbage at actually getting them to work. So, uh, yeah. That's me. I think I hit everything?" She takes a little breath, before looking around for confirmation.

Nero had been planning to sleep in a little this morning, in order to get enough rest for the full day ahead of him, but of course, nothing ever worked as plan in the Hyland household. The twins never had to be told to wake up in the morning, normally being the first ones awake anyways, and today was no different in that regard. The main difference today was in exactly how early they woke up. With his impending departure, the pair had been far more energetic than usual, so as far as Nero could tell in his sleep deprived state, they were already awake and running around at 4 in the morning. He had put off dealing with them for an hour, but finally had gotten up at 5 to deal with them. After they had been shuffled off to their room for at least another hour, it was already too late for Nero, so instead he focused on tidying up the house, checking his bag, and starting on breakfast.
Mom was always the first up in the house, and as tradition, by the time she came downstairs at 6:45, the first pancakes were just being taken out of the pan. Dad made it down to kiss her goodbye at 6:55, still groggy. Normally, he would have been ready for work at this point, but he had taken the day off in order to see Nero off, so he was taking things a bit slowly today. And of course, the second dad broke the downstairs barrier, the twins came running down after him. Surprisingly enough, Rhea groggily stumbled her way down the stairs before mom had left, if only for a few moments. Normally she didn't get up until Nero shook her awake around 8, partially on account of her wanting to avoid mom and partially because she hated mornings, but it seemed today was a special day. If Nero had to guess, it was because she was anxious about his departure, but he tried not to focus too much on it. Would make him feel too guilty.
By the time the Talonflame rider had arrived, the family had all shuffled outside, ready for this. He gave them all hugs, giving Rhea an especially long one paired with a promise to call her later today. Then, he slung his shield and bag on his back, made sure his sword at his side, and hopped up behind the rider, his venture beginning.
As they touched down in Aquacorde, Nero couldn't help but smile. He had always heard it was pretty, but he never realized how familiar it would feel, despite it being his first time here. Of course, he and Rebecca had planned to spend an extended amount of time in the scenic town when they had been planning their trip, so perhaps that was it. He knew they had planned to go to a cozy little cafe somewhere around here... The thought of Rebecca bugged Nero a bit, and he took a quick glance at the time. Nero had asked the Talonflame rider if he could try to get to the town a little earlier than scheduled so that Nero could get in a bit of a jog before the meeting, and it seemed like if he took off running just now, he'd be able to fit in an hour run to blow off some steam. He was glad he had decided not to throw on his armor first thing; he had been tempted, but decided he'd probably want to look a little less strange for his first meeting with his league representative. After a quick moment, he released Ryke, and he and his pup went for a light jog around the scenic city.
As he walked into the league building, he spent a good amount of time walking around looking at the images, enamored by the history of the league captured within them. He's signed in and ushered through the building soon enough, and as Zayna extends a hand, he shakes it firmly, flashing her his characteristic smile. As he sits down, Nero unhooks his riot shield from his back and leans it against the table in the room. Hard to sit with that thing on your back, and even more difficult to be inconspicuous with it.
Listening to the other two introduce themselves, he couldn't help but compare them to his family. Teresa reminded him so much of younger version of mom that it was mildly disturbing, but then again, that was how most corp people were. Maybe a bit of Rhea as well. Eliza, meanwhile, was a lot like a grown up Maladi with how excitable and bubbly she seemed. Hopefully she was missing most of Maladi's tendency to get herself into trouble...
When it was his turn to speak, he gave a wave to the other two, flashing a bright smile at the two girls. "Hey, I'm Nero, good to meet ya. Dunno how much there is to say about myself, really. I'm from Anistar, my dad's a cop, and I'm planning on heading the same direction after the league challenge. Seemed like as good of a place to start that sort of career as any, and gives me a chance to travel the region too." At that, he shrugs, then looks back to Zayna expectantly.

Zayna's expression softens ever so slightly as Teresa began to talk. Once everyone has given their introductions, she nods. "You know, you remind me a little of my daughter and her group. They were in here earlier today. I probably shouldn't admit to this, but I had to pull some favors to become my daughter's League Agent." She seems about to say more, when her expression changes drastically, going from soft, to steely in a split second. "Get down!" she cries, pushing out with one hand. You feel your stomachs lurching somewhat as you're pushed 2 meters away from the table, just before you hear the piercing noise of breaking glass, followed by earth shattering explosions both near and far. When you regain your bearing, you're unharmed, as is most of the office around you, but the windows are gone and some damage has been done to the walls near them. An unconscious Voltorb is lying on the floor and you can hear screaming from outside. "Don't worry, I got a Barrier up in time." Zayna's stern voice sounds out. Her narrowed eyes are glowing with both icy rage and psychic power. She releases a Sigilyph into the room, which floats beside her. "Show yourself!" She commands. As her words ring out, the air visibly ripples, before a man in black military-style clothing appeared some meters away from the window, sitting on a huge Honchkrow that had likewise appeared from thin air. Surprise flashes through Zayna's expression. She hadn't expected her command to be followed. Psychic power visibly builds up within the Sigilyph, manifesting in an aura around it that vaguely looks like a distorted eye. "Acts of terrorism against the League are punishable by death." Zayna says coldly. "We've learnt from our past. The only good enemy is a dead enemy." The man remains stoic, then, in a distorted voice, begins to talk. "Once you were code-named Lugia, striking fear into your enemies on the battlefield. Now you babysit children. We have great respect for you, but for the glory of the Uncrowned King, you must die. This place is has too many defenders however and I am already overstaying my welcome. Follow me to your death." "And why would I do that?" "Because we have your daughter. If you don't believe these pictures, read my mind." He flings images printed on card paper over to Zayna who goes a little pale. "Kids, take care of yourself, I've scouted the area with telepathy, there are only three other terrorists and they seem pretty weak, you can handle them," she says grimly. With that, she floated off the ground and launched herself at the leader, intending to take him down. The Sigilyph follows her. Three ropes sail down over the mostly glass-less window, followed by three thin men who climb down and swing into the room. Their black clothing is much more shabby than the apparent leader's, as if they have been worn far longer. The men eye you menacingly, before throwing out Pokeballs, releasing a Pansage, Panpour and Pansear. (The table in the middle counts as blocking terrain with 1 meter of height) Initiative List 13 - Panpour / Pansage / Pansear 11 - Ryke 11 - Variable 10 - Eliza 10 - Nero 10 - Teresa 10 - T1 / T2 / T3 04 - Rainbow

Teresa was actually interested in what Zayna was saying, somewhat understanding the feeling of being a mother, but that flew out the window when the windows exploded. Teresa staggered at the push, but quickly gathered her balance. She quickly surveyed the room, not being able to notice anything until the man made himself known. She blinked at the obvious use of powers, knowing that she probably stood no chance in combat with these two behemoths.
Teresa listened to the conversation, making mental notes she wanted to ask later, assuming they all survived this encounter. Lugia, Uncrowned King, and just who these people were. At the mention of Zayna's daughter being captured, Teresa felt a pang of sympathy for her, she wouldn't be able to keep cool if her own Variable had been kidnapped. She gave the older woman a nod when she told them to take care of themselves. She would do her best, to ease a little of the burden on Zayna's shoulders.
With no hesitation, Teresa quickly grabbed Variable's ball, tossing it out as the figures came into view. She was ready, quickly getting into stance to fight, with one leg slightly raised, her arms bent to block blows easier. "Focus on the Pokemon, Variable" Even in this situation her voice remained steady. Despite the facade, she was still trying to process her own emotions, but the situation certainly called for her to push that away. An easy feat, considering it wasn't an intense one.

After all the introductions, Eliza's attention begins to drift a little bit to the view outside... it's still so different here, a lot calmer, in general, and she wants to take it all in. Well... a lot calmer until everything starts falling apart. Quite literally.
In the span of a few seconds, everything's gone from quiet to terrifying, and she tries to figure out exactly what's happening. There's a Voltorb... okay, that's probably what exploded. But, where did it come fro- oh. She's rather unsettled by the fact that they just stepped out of thin air. She's always thought that she's had a decent eye on her... but there'd been nothing.
It takes her a moment to just absorb everything that happens in the next few moments... there are terrorists, and they kidnapped Zayna's daughter, and now Zayna's expecting her and the others to fight them off? She panics a little bit, as this is not what she expected. Judging by the Voltorb, and what the man on the bird had said before... well, this is probably a life or death situation.
"Okay, okay," she tells herself, taking some breaths and releasing Rainbow next to her. The sight of the happy little fairy calms her down the smallest bit. "This is just like any other battle... you just can't lose. Don't let it get to you."

Nero listened to Zayna talking about her daughter with a small smile on his face. It reminded him of how dad had insisted on being the coach for one of his little league teams when he was younger, despite the league having rules against it. Once a parent had it in their mind that they were going to watch over their child, it was hard to prevent them from getting their way, rules be damned.
As the world sped up into a barrage of action, Nero's reflexes kick in, and he reaches down to grab his shield and pull it up defensively as the explosion rattles the room. As the conversation continues and the stakes are made clear, Nero's expression sets into a harden, determined look. Stopping people like this had been his goal the moment he had decided to set out on this path. This was a far earlier first encounter than he had expected, but that didn't make him any less ready for it.
Nero releases Ryke in front of himself, the electric pup growling aggressively at the enemy pokemon across from him. Nero then reaches to his side and draws his makeshift sword, raising his shield and looking at the opposing trainers with a slight grin. "Alright then, if this is how it's gonna be... Bring it."

The three men look at each other, then look at you. Their expressions didn't change much in the process, looking rather hostile to you. In a show of rather lacking coordination, they give commands all at the same time. "Show the Eevee and Electrike what fear is, Panpour!" "Burn that Togetic and the girl with Incinerate, Pansear!" "Smack that Electrike with Vine Whip, Pansage!" Despite the simultaneous commands, the Pokemon manage to carry out their orders. The Panpour leers menacingly at Variable and Ryke, though it doesn't seem to have a great effect. The same can't be said for the vine that smacks Ryke, or the tongue of flame that the Pansear unleashes, which aims to sear both Rainbow and her trainer. Panpour misses with Leer! Pansear hits with Incinerate! Rainbow and Eliza take 39 Fire Special Damage. Pansage hits with Vine Whip! Ryke takes 29 Grass Physical Damage.
All Damage is before Defenses.

As the monkeys launch their barrage of attacks, Nero's eyes track both the vines rushing towards Ryke and the flames threatening to Incinerate Eliza, he makes a split second choice, giving Eliza a harsh shove with his shoulder, pushing her out of the way as he jumps into the flames, shield raised. At the end of it, he looks at the Pansear with disdain, his clothes scorched, muttering under his breath. "Should have just worn your armor to the meeting, Nero..."He then calls out to Ryke a quick, short order. "Advantage, Ryke." The little pup seems to get the message, and runs over to the table, leaping up on top of it as electric charge builds up around his body. At the ends of his leap, he slams into the Panpour, giving it a nice, healthy shock. In the meantime, Nero takes the time to breathe deeply, widening his stance and pulling his shield up into a ready position, ready to block as much damage as he could. Nero uses a Shift Action Interrupt to Intercept Incinerate. Nero chooses not to drop his Held items, taking an extra tick of damage.
Ryke leaps up onto the table and uses Spark on the Panpour! Roll of 19 vs AC 2 Panpour is Paralyzed! 25 Physical Electric damage.
As a Standard action on his turn, Nero binds Stalwart Bastion for 2 AP. Nero and all adjacent allies gain 4 DR as long as the feature is bound. As a Swift action on his turn, Nero spends 1 AP to use Shield bearer, readying his shield to gain 10 more DR and +4 evasion until the start of his next turn.

"Aaaaah!" Eliza cries out, as she's shoved extremely unexpectedly to the side, at the same time a blast of fire engulfs Rainbow and heads towards her. Winded for a moment, once she gets her bearings, she realizes that the guy... uh, Nero, that was it, had stepped into the attack for her. She doesn't take too much time to consider it at the moment, though, since there's a much, much more pressing matter at hand. That of her opponents. She takes a few steps back from everything, before concentrating on her power and flicking her wrist to unleash a barrage of stars at the monkey that had just tried to burn her and Rainbow. Normally, she'd quip, or something, but this is too tense for her to think of anything, so she just stays silent. She realizes also, that now might not be the best time to be a glowing target, and so lets the light emanating from her body fade. Thankfully, at least, she just needs to have the target in mind for the stars to aim there, because her nerves aren't doing too well at the moment. Eliza uses Swift on Pansear for 27 Special Normal damage.

"Assist the Togetic" She trusted Variable to do just that, the little guy nodding before getting on his hind legs and clapping his paws together, giving a little cry of encouragement for the fairy. Teresa smiled at her little champ just slightly, she loved that little guy. She quickly wiped it off her face, running around Variable and up beside the Electrike, ending up right in front of the Panpour. There was no hesitation as she attempts to pummel the monkey with 4 swift thrusts from her hands. Variable uses Helping Hand on Rainbow
Teresa runs up in front of the Panpour using Arm Thrust AC:4 Roll:5 Dealing 49 Fighting Physical if it hits.

The tallest terrorist towards the left acts first after giving his command. He rushes over to support his Pokemon, which looks heavily injured from the Electrike's attack. Holding a previously concealed knife, he stabs once into Ryke's small body. The other two follow with actions of their own, one pulling out a pistol crossbow and moving around the table with Pokemon on it, to get a clear shot, before pointing it at Teresa, a bolt having been quickly installed. He lets loose the bolt, his balaclava masked face not doing anything to hide the glee in his expression when the bolt hits its mark, implanting itself in Teresa's shoulder. The last one moves up to Rainbow and stabs into her surprisingly hardy body with another knife. T1 hits with Cheap Shot on Ryke for 27 Normal Physical Damage.
T2 hits with Bullseye on Teresa for 26 Normal Physical Damage.
T3 hits with Cheap Shot on Rainbow for 27 Normal Physical Damage.

Catching her breath a little bit, and trying to take stock of everything, when weapons start coming out... well, it's hard for Eliza to stay calm. The knife stabbing at Rainbow lights a little bit of a fire in her, though - the Togetic had been with her for years. Opening the Datalink channel to her Pokémon, and taking some solace in the gentle wireless connection, she sends ++Okay, show them what you're capable of. Metronome. Then move a bit.++ Unfortunately, most of her attacks would be ineffective against a fire type, so it's time to gamble a little bit... Rainbow glows a purple colour, which gets Eliza a little bit excited... but not a whole lot seems to have happened when the glow fades, much to her despair, as the Togetic flutters a little to avoid lining up with Nero. Rainbow uses Metronome. Metronome becomes Power Trick. Rainbow's Attack and Defense are swapped. Rainbow disengages.

Panpour cries out in pain as Ryke smashes into it with an electrical charge, leaving it badly injured with sparks crackling along its body. Pansear seems hurt, but not too badly, from the barrage of stars. Meanwhile, Pansage is looking hale and hearty. The trio receive another set of commands. "Panpour, Scratch the girl and her Pokemon! I'll kill this Electrike myself, I do believe..." The comment from the tallest terrorist gets some side eye from the one with the pistol crossbow. "Get a grip and try to be efficient for once in your damn life." He follows this up with an order of his own, "Hit that guy with Vine Whip!" The third terrorist ignores the other two completely, seemingly in a world of his own. "Burn it again, Pansear!" Judging by the near mesmerized look in his eyes, he appears to have pyromaniac tendencies. Two of the three Pokemon follow their orders. Pansage extends its vine-like tail to take a swing at Nero. Finally, Pansear seems encouraged by its Trainer's love for fire, unleashing a terrifying blaze on Rainbow. Panpour has been impaired by the electricity numbing its muscles and is therefore not able to respond as fast as its comrades. Panpour hits with Scratch on Teresa and Variable for 24 Normal Physical Damage.
Ryke gets an AoO on Panpour.
Pansage hits with Vine Whip on Nero for 34 Grass Physical Damage.
Pansear critical hits with Incinerate on Rainbow for 58 Fire Special Damage

Oh god, oh god, oh god... Eliza thinks, as Rainbow goes down, the mental connection abruptly snapping shut. Without her companion, she's feeling much more vulnerable, especially given that she knows from experience that she'll have to wait a few moments before her energy recharges enough to unleash it again. Instead, she just reaches for Rainbow's ball, recalling the Togetic. She's spurred on by the one terrorist's comments of killing one of the other Pokémon. This is not how she was expecting today to go... and she rather hopes to see tomorrow, so looks towards the door that they entered the room in, and heads that way. "Look, you two," she says, hurriedly, "Zanya may have had faith in us, but I don't think that's panning out. If the other guy was worried about the defenders here, we should probably find one of them."Eliza recalls Rainbow, before moving towards the door (and opening it, if possible).

Teresa grit her teeth at the crossbow bolt entering her flesh, Pain wasn't something she was used to, but her physiology dulled the pain, somewhat. Teresa looks over at Eliza and considers the other girls plan, she had a point. If they escaped and found more people to assist them this would become quite the easy task. It's also true that they need to deal with the ones with long range, they would just pick them off otherwise. "Deal with the one with the crossbow, then we can initiate that plan" Variable nodded in ascent, before running straight past Teresa and the Pansage, jumping onto the table and stopping just after passing the Panpour. Variable turned quickly before shoving itself at the Panpour, slamming into it and shoving it two meters away, allowing Teresa to act. Variable used Tackle on Panpour AC:2 Roll:11 23 Normal Physical Damage Pushes Two Meters Teresa took this chance, jumping up onto the table before running over to the man with the crossbow pistol, giving the Pansage a chance to attack her while she goes after the terrorist. allowing gravity to bring her to the floor in front of him. She landed on one leg, the other striking out to kick the terrorist with two swift strikes. Teresa used Double Kick Hit 1: 2 VS AC 3 Hit 2: 5 VS AC 3
Damage, if hit 2 hits: 22 Physical Fighting

Nero grimaces as the Togetic goes down, wincing in sympathy after feeling those flames. It was not a pleasant experience. He was used to taking a beating, but taking that flame had cut his ability to do so considerably. The retreat was the best option for keeping everyone safe, but they couldn't let it happen freely. Time to do all they could to get everyone else out. "Ryke, harry the flame, retreat towards door."Ryke barked, the electricity coursing around his body, and in a flash he charged across the battlefield so quickly there was no chance to react to it. As he skid to a halt near the other end of the room next to Eliza, he sent the remaining electricity coursing along his footsteps, causing the Pansear's muscles to lock up. Nero moved immediately after him, raising his shield and moving in between the Pansage and the Pansear. He braces his shoulder and slams into the small monkey, trying to push both it and the trainer behind it with all his might all the way into the wall next to the door. As a swift action, Ryke activates Electrodash! Ryke cannot be hit by opportunity attacks from shifting, and shifts 10 meters across the room. Then, Ryke uses Thunder Wave, Paralyzing the Pansear with no chance to miss.
As a Swift Action, Nero spends 1 AP to activate Shield Bearer, raising his shield. As a Shift, he moves 2 meters between the Pansage and Pansear.
Nero uses Strength vs the Pansear! Roll of 19 vs AC2. 32 Physical Normal damage. A push maneuver is automatically initiated. Nero then attempts to push both the Pansear and T3 with his 4 meters of remaining movement into the wall, and all those rolls are in the roll thread, and I'll let Noct try and sort out the entire mess.

The three men have varying reactions to Eliza's declaration of wanting to flee. For the tallest man, it was amusement. "You're not getting away from this, girl," he said, deciding to chase after her and jumping onto and over the table as he does so. "Panpour, after her!" he commands. The crossbow wielder didn't show much of a reaction, but he did narrow his eyes further, only for his head to swivel around when Teresa jumped over and delivered a kick to his torso. Holstering the crossbow, he retaliates with a textbook karate-style punch to her chest. "Pansage, whip the Eevee," he commands after attacking. The pyromaniac seemed eager to to say something, but didn't get the chance to. First Ryke trasferred his charged up electricity to Pansear, then Nero crashed into first the Pokemon, and then its master, pushing him right into the wall next to the door. It seems this has not only knocked the wind out of him for a moment, but also broke him out of his reverie. A little more clear minded than before, he lashes out with the side of his hand, to deliver a slightly sloppy, but mostly by-the-book chop to Ryke. Pansear meanwhile is looking like it's on its last legs. Panpour manages to overcome the numbness of its muscles and dashes forward, though it doesn't reach anywhere near Eliza. Pansage lashes out with its tail, whipping Variable across his side. T2 hits with Rock Smash on Teresa for 18 Fighting Physical Damage.
T3 hits with Rock Smash on Ryke for 21 Fighting Physical Damage.
New round!
Pansage hits with Vine Whip on Variable for 26 Grass Physical Damage.

"No!" Eliza, cries back at the first man with panic, realizing she'd run almost straight into the Pansear, "I'm not dying here." She flails her hand forward, unleashing more stars almost blindly at the pyromaniac and his Pansear, before pushing past Nero, not even really looking to see what her attack had done. At least she's reached the door, and, with that, she tries to open it, maybe get it in between her and the closest man. Eliza uses Swift on the Pansear and T3, for 22 Special Normal Damage.
