Very slowly crouching down and gently shaking Genki, "We have guests," Aiden whispers as he looks to Kiba and Major for a moment to make sure they were okay. Turning to the biggest of the mushrooms, "Hello there. How are you? Did you come because you smelled the food?" He slowly reaches for the can off Pokémon food pouring some on his hand and holding it out for the new arrivals while inching forward from the group so that if he got attacked, their spores wouldn't hit the others.

Taking in the visitors, Genki nervously chuckled. They looked like one of their 'friends' that recently left us. the largest of the bunch gave of a Roswell vibe, but they didn't seem to be aggressing. He cracked an unusually large grin and waved at the guests, "Hello!"
More softly to Aiden, "If they start covering us in spores, it's fight or flight time," he did not want a repeat of the Vespaqueen situation.

"Oh, how curious." Cole leaned forward to watch the approaching mushroom Pokemon. "I wonder if this is normal behavior, or if they are reacting to the fire."
Not wanting to startle anyone, Cole doesn't call out any of his own Pokemon. He only leans in to watch, and nods at Genki's suggestion.

Aiden focused on the newcomers, trying to communicate with them through his knowledge of the various different species that existed in the world, offering them the food that he thought might well have attracted their attention. Cole tried to ascertain if this behaviour was normal for this group= even if they were a species that he was commonly aware of, their behaviour here might be completely different because of the isolation of the island. Whatever he knew, it wasn't necessarily likely that he would actually be able to say for certain if their behaviour was abnormal or not, not for a while at least.
Genki was more cautious, very suspicious after the events that had happened to them only a short while before. This could be the same, worse or even simply different, only time would tell. That time was fairly quick, Aiden barely even noticed they were ambling closer, their caps glowing even more intensely a second before a thick wave of glowing spores that filled the air all around the trainers. The glow was calming, or was it the spores? None of them could tell as each slumped forwards or backwards, their bodies becoming suddenly heavy and difficult to support as they found themselves overwhelmingly sleepy, the darkness enfolding them.

As the cloud of spores rolled in, Genki's knees locked up as he stood full mast, at alert. It was preempted by a wave a displeasure as his concerns took shape. "Spores! That's it, time- time to-," the weight of his eyelids increased tenfold.
*Thud* his face hit the dirt.
