It takes all of one day, and part of another, but Donovan and Mica eventually reach the grounds of the temple between Xalibu and Kanadario without incident. As summer approaches, they'd seen a few more travellers on the roads, though none were doing the League challenge. The bird Pokémon chirp, and the bushes in the distance rustle, as the pair enters the glade that houses the temple. It's about mid-morning, but the sun is shining brightly upon the structure. There doesn't seem to be anyone or anything else around. ƈƜƙƦƙśƧŔƧƣơƙƨƜƝƢƛŔƕƖƣƩƨŔƨƜƝƧŔƤƠƕƗƙŔƨƜƕƨŢŢŢŔƗƕƠƠƧŔƨƣŔŸƣƢƣƪƕƢŢŔŽƨśƧŔƧƩƖƨƠƙŠŔƖƩƨŔƝƨŔƚƙƙƠƧŔƢƝƗƙŢØ

"This place really is off the beaten path." Mica comments, scribbling away on her sketchpad as the pair approach the temple. "Not another person or Pokemon in sight, but I'm still nervous. Hopefully Axiom doesn't ever find out what we're up to. Things are hard enough as it is." She pauses to examine the carvings on the side of the temple.

Donovan smiled as they approached the Temple, it reminded him of the great big mossy rock back home and flooded his mind with memories. Releasing Rose into his arms as they approached so the little Budew could get the same enjoyment of it as he did "We should be fine here. It reminds me of home. Like home home, not just where my dad is. I'm really excited to meet whoever lives inside here, I hope they're as nice as the Psychic types were"
He stopped in his tracks when he said that "Actually, before we go in, we should really figure out what we're gonna tell them. I don't want a repeat of the first Temple and how it went down with Madine."

"Well, Xatu knew the whole story about the plates and the temples, not everyone does. Why don't we tell them that?" Mica chimed in and stepped up to the temple doorway, taking a few deep breaths. "I'm awful at lying, so being dishonest isn't gonna work. Helping them understand is the right way."

"Don't worry, if we ever need to lie, I can just do it. It's easy enough. But you're right, we shouldn't lie to them."
As he approaches the top with Mica, Donovan recalls Rose and smiles "I have a good feeling about this place though. I'm sure they'll understand"
He placed a hand towards the doorway "Alright, let's do this"

Once again, the pair steps through the rippling walls, sun shining upon them as they enter into the brief nothingness. And then, as is becoming familiar, the sensation of almost falling, before emerging on the other side, thankfully standing. Also thankfully, without the enormous plate.
There's an immediate difference between this temple and any of the prior ones. There's still a room, and columns stretching to the ceiling... but most of the surfaces are overgrown with vines, and flowers, and various other things that by all rights shouldn't be able to grow indoors, let alone on stone surfaces. The air in here also seems to smell nicer and be a little fresher than in the other places.
There's no other Pokémon in sight, but there are four hallways leading off the entrance room. There's no noticeable difference.

"See, I told you we wouldn't have to worry about the Plate" Donovan says with a smile as he gets his bearings "Now we just have to decide which direction to go."
Gone was the hesitation when in his Budew form, after repeated entry into the Temples he was starting to feel at him in his small form, though he still missed having hands. Taking a few tiny steps forward, he looked down the different halls before turning back to Mica "What do you think, which one should we go down?"

"It smells like you in here." Mica commented with a slight swoon in her voice, this was a really nice place. She loved green and growing things, though not as much as Donovan perhaps. The two parallel stones above her brow moved together in as close a thing asto a shrug as she could manage, and she began toddling north.

Heading towards the northwest passageway, it soon begins to slope downwards, without any passages off to the side. The smell in the air gets to be a little bit earthier as the decline gets a little steeper, before beginning to level off in a corridor.
Looking ahead, there seem to be ways leading off to the side every so often. From one of the nearer ones, there seems to be some conversation coming from through it, although you can't quite pick out what's being said. It all seems rather calm, though.

Donovan took a breath before turning to Mica "Alright, are you ready? Let's hope they're friendly"
The hesitation returning to his steps, Donovan headed down into the passage that the sounds were coming from, keeping his mouth shut until he saw who was having the conversation

"I'm ready." Mica took a deep breath and moved quietly along beside Donovan. Up until then her dealings with temple pokemon had been all business, she was curious what they talked about when not engaging strangers.

The conversation seems to quiet and devolve into mostly giggles as the pair approaches. The vines along the walls grow thicker - forming a curtain-y door about halfway down - and, as the hall reaches a room, it seems to take on the appearance of being inside a giant tree stump - though, stone can still be seen through knotholes and other cracks in the stump.
Scattered around the room seems to be some pseudo-furniture made from wood and vines. It's not quite the same as what would be seen in the outside world, but it's definitely recognizable as artificial. Off to the side, sitting on some sort of nestish seat/bed thing, a Leavanny is running its forearms delicately through the head-leaves of a Lilligant.
It takes a moment for either Pokémon to notice the pair at their doorway. But, suddenly, the Leavanny seems to actually take stock of the two forms at the doorway, and jumps up with an embarrassed "Eep!" noise. She turns to the Lilligant. "I thought you said your sister was going to be away for a while!"
"She is!" the Lilligant protests, before looking towards Donovan and Mica, addressing them with a bit of a peeved tone. "Are you two looking for Elyra? Well, you're late in that case. You just missed them all heading to the Garden."

Playing along with what the two larger grass types were saying, Donovan nodded "Err which Garden were they going to? I thought we would have seen her on the way here"
Internally he nodded to himself, this Garden seemed like the spot they needed to go to, someplace where they could find someone in charge, or the Plate, or something that wasn't...this

"We're always getting lost." Mica apologized sheepishly, toes turned inward and scuffing her feet. She wasn't completely sure what they'd walked in on, but it made her tummy feel funny. Her knee-jerk bonsly reflexes were to cry about it, but she felt that way a lot when they were in the temples. How come they were touching and laughing like that? Normal Pokemon didn't do that. Did people do that? Her eyes slowly gravitated towards Donovan. Maybe he knew? Were girls allowed to ask boys about that?

The look on the Lilligant's face is the one that would probably accompany the gnashing of teeth on a human, muttering something about "Kids..."
"We were like that, too, when we were younger, Anija..." The Leavanny gently chides, having regained some composure. "I couldn't tell you how many times we got lost trying to get to the Garden to play outside. At least from here it's not too bad. Besides," she lowers her voice, "The faster we tell them, the faster they go away, and we can get back to what we were doing."
Anija grumps some more, and sighs, but points out to the pair, "Go right from this room until you hit a wall, then right again, and the first corridor upwards. Then go left, take your second left, and then a right. Now scram. Go have fun with Ely. Or whatever. Just get out."

"Right, right, up. Left, second left, right. Thanks!" Donovan memorizes the directions as he pushes Mica out the door and turns right.
Waiting until they were a ways away, he turned to Mica with wide eyes "Did you hear them? They said the Garden leads to outside! Do you think it's a real outside or like a fake one? This could be a huge find if it's a real one! They might actually understand what we're talking about and like...want to help!"

Mica's eyes gravitated back towards the room with the two Pokemon, distracted as she was prone to being. "When we get outside, can you touch my hair like that? It looked nice..." She replied, before blinking a few times and seeming to register what he'd said. "Maybe, if they know about this sundering or whatever..."

Donovans eyes went wide and his cheeks a bright pink for a moment when Mica asked him if he would touch her hair like that, unsure if she quite realized what she was asking "We uh...We can talk about that a bit more when we're outside"
Shaking his head clear, he continued following the directions before talking "That's a good point, they might be able to tell us a bit more about that."

Hastily leaving the abode of the pair of Grass types, Donovan and Mica follow the instructions given by the Lilligant. It's a fair distance, but eventually they find themselves moving upwards once more. There are occasional glimpses of other Grass Pokémon in the distances of some halls, but none of them seem to give either of the two a second glance.
Approaching the last few directions, the air seems cleaner, fresher, and much more floral than it was below. The final turn brings the pair into... outside. The yellow sun hanging high in a cloudless blue sky, green hills rolling off into the distance, and the floral smell here is almost overwhelming. There are a variety of grass types spread over a large area - most of them are small early evolutions, but there's a tall, leafless tree standing around in the middle, letting the younger Pokémon climb all over her, and a large bipedal grass type with a red and blue flower for hands just contentedly watching the energetic playing.
Nearby, there's a small group of Pokémon - including a Petilil, Sunkern, Sewaddle and Hoppip - that seem to be doing their best to enthusiastically build what seems to be a shelter out of vines, flowers, wood, and the Sewaddle's silk.
It's only after a few minutes of observation, a lack of familiar feelings of warmth, and taking a good look at the wall near the entrance that the pair is at... that they realize that all of the outside - the sun, the sky, the hills - all seem to be made from living flowers, covering the walls and the ceiling. Looking closely, the 'sun' seems to be moving across the 'sky' as more flowers on one side bloom as those on the other side close up. That explains why the room smells so floral.

"Donovan... it's like a big mural of the outside." Mica whispers softly, taking a shy step behind the budew. "I'm getting nervous, there's so many Pokemon here, where do we even start? I've never seen any of these Pokemon before. The tree kinda looks like me if my leaves fell off... maybe it's my evolution? It's kinda spooky." Seeming to build a little resolve, she scooted out from behind Donovan, and took the first few tentative steps into the clearing.
