"I hope this sealing technique binds you to my commands... come Suijin!" Iga released the water clone from its sealing sphere amidst the treetops with him. His other partner lay unmoving below amidst the creatures that yapped and milled and bit. "You will assist me in sealing this Tsuchigumo!" He commanded it, gesturing at the enormous spider, cupping a Pokeball in his hand, preparing his strike.
(Iga delays till after Grimer. Grimer uses Water Gun on Spinarak. Iga attempts to capture Spinarak)

When the explosion clears, Lucas finally spots the missing Iga in the treetops, facing off against a spider pokemon that he also recognizes a little. With two of the wild canines charging in towards the area however, the boy carefully tries to avoid catching their attention and runs towards the distinctly loud cry of Seraphine in pain, seeing her leafy down made a mess by the Taillow as he'd feared. Making a snap decision, Lucas beams his bird back into her pokeball and follows up with an empty pokeball aimed straight at the Taillow, desperately hoping to remove the most dangerous threat to the group (in his opinion) from the battle. Lucas: - Shift Action: Move to N6 - Free Action: Use Quick Switch (spending 1 AP) to return Sera - Standard Action: Throw a Basic Ball at the Taillow * Accuracy Roll: 16 vs AC 6 * Capture Roll: 84

While Lucas' aim is true, unfortunately his ball's strength is not enough to contain the bird, which twitters angrily at him. The dogs continue their attacks, with Minion seeming to deal better with the canine's maw now that it isn't flickering with flame. One of the canines attacking Growlithe continues to savage the interloper, dealing a vicious blow to the downed firedog. The other moves on to a moving target - Superbia, locking onto his leg with its jaws, tearing gashes. Lucas hits with his Pokéball, but it breaks. Taillow uses Focus Energy. Minion takes 7 damage from Bite. Growlithe takes 28 damage and 2 injuries from Bite. Superbia takes 24 damage and an injury from Bite.

As the stone dog rips into him, Superbia cries out in pain before whipping around and attempting to knock it away with his tail, hoping to slow down the fight the same way he had with the Dryad. Minion did his best to crush the dog he had been fighting but managed to completely miss it with his strike, leaving himself completely open in the process. Superbia uses Dragon Tail 11 vs AC 3 for 30 physical Dragon damage and sending the Rockruff back 6 minus its WC in meters
Minion uses Force Palm but misses with a 1 vs ac 2

Superbia's blow knocks the canine back past where the Growlithe lays fallen, but it gets up, growling at him. Unfortunately, Minion's strike is not true, but Iga's captured slick seems to manage to hit the spider. The slime seems precariously balanced on a branch, looking like it should probably flow off, but managing to avoid that fate - and it also seems quite happy to forget that it had been trying to attack the ninja and dog near it. The ninja in question whips a ball at the spider, which quickly clicks shut... before plummeting to the ground. Thankfully, it doesn't break. The dryad that Superbia knocked away before seems to have decided to be more proactive now, and sends some of the spectral roots to attach themselves to Minion, draining some of his energy into the now rather-smug and healthy looking plant-creature. R3 is hit by Dragon Tail. Minion misses R1. Grimer hits with Water Gun. Iga caught a Pokémon! Petilil restores a tick of HP from Ingrain. Minion takes 15 damage from Absorb.

"That these creatures so densely infest these woods is surely a sign of something greater at work here." Iga breathed a little easier without fear of being poisoned, charmed, or ensnared, and drew his attention towards Superbia as a small canine tumbled free of the skirmish with a mighty swing of the demon lord's tail. "Find your rest now beast!" Iga went through another series of gestures. "Suijin, strike the other before it gets away."
His Mudra executed, he pointed the sealing sphere at the hound prone, and drew it away to safety. He would have to be most polite to it later, after what it had done for him this day, lest it try to eat him when next he fall down.

"Merde!" Shaken by the failed capture attempt, Lucas curses under his breath and takes another look at the situation. At least the others are making progress, even with the initial bad start. As for him, maybe he can turn the Taillow's anger towards him to his favor, he hopes. The boy starts running to the north, making it look like he's just trying to escape the fight, but turns his body at the last second and jumps high to land on a tree branch next to the wild bird. Taking advantage of his movement, he grabs a handful of leaves and throws them at the Taillow's face to obscure its vision, also using the moment to release Seraphine again behind him. Now back out, though still wounded, the owl glares at its opponent with a vengeance and darts around Lucas to slam the other bird directly into the tree with a full-body tackle. Lucas: - Shift Action: Move to O4 (3 meters above the ground) - Standard Action: Perform a Dirty Trick - Blind maneuver on Taillow * Accuracy Roll: 16 vs AC 2 * Opposed Stealth Check: 18 * Target is Blinded for one full round on success - Free Action: Use Quick Switch (spending 1 AP) to send out Sera at N4 (3 meters above the ground)
Sera: Initiative 15 for this round - Shift Action: Move to P5 (3 meters above the ground) - Standard Action: Tackle on Taillow * Accuracy Roll: 17 vs AC 2 * 23 Normal Physical Damage (Pushes target 2 meters if possible)

The bark, leaves and debris that Lucas kicks up goes straight in the bird's eyes as it screeches at him angrily. Unfortunately, Iga's spell isn't quite so fortunate, and doesn't seem to affect the dog in the slightest. Sera bashes the other bird, irritated about her feathers, and smashes it into the tree trunk next to it, where it swoops back at the owl, but missing horribly from the grit in its eyes. The dogs move around into a pack attack formation encircling Superbia and his Minion, being the only ones left within reach, clearly having done something like this before. Two gang up on Timburr, the pair's elemental fangs taking down the stoic Fighting type, while the swipe from the third jars Superbia to the bone, leaving him feeling weak. Taillow is Blinded. Taillow is hit by Tackle. Taillow misses with Peck. Minion takes 15 damage from Fire Fang. Minion takes 18 damage an injury and Faints from Thunder Fang. Superbia takes 21 damage and -1 Def CS from Crush Claw.

Superbia turned towards the beasts that had taken out his minion, his mana escaping his body on its own in purple tendrils that coalesced into the shape of a dragon made of chains which quickly shot out and wrapped up the Rockruff that had formed lightning in it's mouth " Choose now beast. Beg for mercy or face my wrath" His voice was cold and raspy as he sputtered out his threat. Before the creature had a moment to react however, held out Minions ball and recalled the Timburr and then pulled out another, empty, ball and glared at the beast that had created flames in it's mouth " Beast with a mouth of Hellfire, You will now come with me" With that, he threw the ball and tensed back up to prepare for the next onslaught Busy turn!
Superbia is using Regal Challenge on the one who used Thunder Fang! If it Defers then he will lower its Attack
Then he recalls Minion
And finally he uses a Pokeball on the one who used Fire Fang. AC 6 vs 10 and a 3 on the capture roll after modifiers

The first dog seems to weakly accept the confines of the sphere that Superbia throws at it, but the other two have much more (metaphorically, at least) fire in them, the one with thunderous fangs growling deeply back at him... before it yelps as it's hit with a spray of water from the tree behind it, taking a lot of the bark out of it. The dryad looks up at where the water came from, and waddles towards it, before shooting the same spectral green roots at the gelatinous blob. As the roots touch the blob, there seems to be a moment of realization on the plant's face, just before the energy returning turns purple, causing it to cry out in pain. R2 shows Defiance. Superbia caught a Pokémon! R2 takes 2 injuries from Water Gun. It's super effective! Grimer takes 16 damage from Absorb.

Grabbing a second empty pokeball from his pockets, Lucas tries one more time to contain the Taillow before it fully recovers from his distraction and harms Seraphine again. Once the ball leaves his hand, he shuts his eyes tightly in dread, fully anticipating the wild bird to break out again and attack him furiously. Lucas: - Standard Action: Capture attempt #2 on the Taillow * Accuracy Roll: 12 vs AC 6 (also the Taillow is Vulnerable as part of being Blinded, not that it would matter probably) * Capture Roll: 28
Sera is at Initiative 5 this turn.

"The sealing spheres seem to be an effective weapon against these creatures, Pokemon or not." Iga announced, throwing a ball at the thundering dog as he lept from his perch. Superbia was looking unwell with the abuse he had suffered, and Lucas not much better. "Well done Suijin, punish the..." Iga squinted, was that a child's soul trapped in a plant? How horrible.

Lucas' fears are unfounded, as the bird doesn't break out, instead thudding softly to the ground. Iga's throw isn't quite as fruitful, though - the ball not even hitting the dog. Superbia finally falls, as he's bitten in the back of the leg by one dog, jolts of electricity going through his body. The other lunges and jumps for Lucas up in the tree, but isn't able to hit the boy. While Iga's Pokémon is able to hit the regenerating plant, it doesn't seem to do very much. It does do more than the plant's powdery response, which just gets carried away by the breeze. Lucas caught a Pokémon! Iga misses R2. Superbia takes 24 damage, an injury and Faints from Thunder Fang. R3 misses Lucas with Bite. Grimer hits Petilil. It's not very effective... Petilil misses Grimer with Sleep Powder.

With her airborne competition neutralized, Seraphine is finally able to rest her sore wings and flaps to a nearby branch to recuperate a little. Wanting everything to quiet down faster, the Rowlet flings a solitary leaf at the closest of the impudent canines that insist on making trouble. When the Taillow's attack never comes, Lucas peeks open one eye just in time to see sharp claws swipe at his feet, though thankfully they fall short and barely scrape against the branch he's standing on. Still, it rattles him enough to reconsider staying at the unsafe height while under attack, and the boy drops down in a heartbeat, booking it into the brush even after hearing a yelp from the dog that attacked him. Against his better judgement, he slows down once he gets behind another tree to check if he is being pursued. Sera: - Shift Action: Moves to P4 (3 meters up) - Standard Action: Uses Leafage on Rockruff 3 * Accuracy Roll: 10 vs AC 2 (with Keen Eye) * 24 Grass Physical damage (no effects)
Lucas: - Standard Action: Sprint maneuver to increase movement speeds by 50% until the end of the turn - Shift Action: Jumps down 3 meters * Free Action: Trigger Quick Gymnastics (and spend 1 AP) to immediately shift 2 meters to Q4 without triggering Attacks of Opportunity (not that it really matters with Run Away) - Shift Action continued: Moves to T9

Suijin seemed to be holding its own against the plant creature, though its attacks carried less weight against it then it did the hounds. It wasn't something he entirely understood. Dog Yokai... Pokemon were week to water perhaps? It was a bane of theirs. That must surely be it!
Iga descends from his perch and again attempts to strike the thunder fanged hound with another sealing sphere, he allowed Suijin to remain behind to continue the creature's exchange with the strange opponent.

Seraphine's leaves seem to cause the dog a surprising amount of pain, as it stumbles a little bit, and seems fairly weak. Lucas takes the opportunity to dash behind one of the trees, the dog pursuing behind him, but not getting quite far enough to lunge at him. Iga throws a ball as he descends from the tree, but, unfortunately for him, it goes wide. It does seem to get the dog's attention, though, as it turns and runs towards him, mouth sparking. R3 takes 2 injuries from Leafage. Lucas Sprints. Iga misses. R3 Sprints. Iga takes 25 damage from Thunder Fang.

After a moment of watching the wild dog chase after Lucas through the bushes, Seraphine nonchalantly tosses another leaf in its direction then fluffs up her feathers to doze off on her perch. Sera's leaves strike the dog, causing it to at last fall before it can manage to get to Lucas. Iga's blob has, once again, less success with its own attack, but it does seem to be wearing down the plant creature. At the very least, said creature appears to be steadfastly ignoring the Grimer, instead looking to Iga and launching seeds at him, which he feels beginning to latch onto him. Those will probably turn into a problem if he doesn't end the dryad's threat quickly... R3 faints from Leafage. Petilil takes an injury from Water Gun. Iga is hit by Leech Seed.

Seeing the dog go down before it can get any closer to him, Lucas sighs shakily. But before he can catch his breath a little, he hears the noises of a fight and freezes up again, remembering that this is close to where Iga was. Daring to peek around the corner, the boy spies said ninja and the watery blob captured earlier facing off against the last of the dogs and also the Petilil. He finds himself being relieved that the plant pokemon has been surviving valiantly against Iga and hesitates on taking action at all, despite knowing that dragging out the battle any longer wouldn't help anyone. Finally, Lucas's better judgement prevails, and he walks up to the Petilil from behind with a pokeball in hand, in the hope that he can at least remove it from the fight in the least harmful way possible. Lucas: - Shift Action: Moves to R10 - Standard Action: Capture attempt on the Petilil * Accuracy Roll: 12 vs AC 6 * Capture Roll: 50

"IEEE!" Iga shrieked as his hair stood on end and his leg spasmed from being chomped on. The seals were powerful but he would need to train with them properly, they were not the manner of throwing weapon he was used to, still, he would give it one last attempt.
