For a moment, all anyone can see is white, but, all of sudden, the light fades, leaving the four standing in much the same positions relative to each other. Only, this time, there's actually a surrounding.
The ground immediately beneath the group's feet appears to be a large dirt road, compact from use. Surrounding the road is some light brush, developing into sparse green forest some distance beyond. The weather is warm and balmy, with nary a cloud in the bright blue sky. A short ways away, there's a sign to the side of the road saying "Rivertown, 1km".
Each of the group also finds that their books are in their hands, with a soft purple light emanating from within.

Superbia looks around for a moment before looking at the sky with a grin, this one not malicious at all "I never realized how much I would miss the sky" He soaked in the sunlight for a moment before realizing he was still holding the book from before
He looked to the glowing book, his previous thought of it being some sort of grimoire being very nearly confirmed in his mind with the glow. Without hesitation, he opened it to the page with the beast that he found before.

When the light finally fades, Lucas is surprised to see such a normal scenery. The simplicity of it all soothes him for quiet moment, at least until the masked boy remembers his current company when Superbia opens his mouth, at which point Lucas becomes gloomy again. He sighs dejectedly and half-wonders if the nearby town would even let either of the horned individuals in before wordlessly following the demon lord's course of action.

Ritsuko shields her eyes from the daylight, and looks around. This seemed much more familiar than the endless, purple void. She let out a sigh of relief, and spots the road sign. Rivertown wasn't a place she knew of, but hopefully someone there could help. Although,...she wasn't sure about people helping someone like her, or even the other horned man. Ritsuko is brought out of her thoughts when she notices their books glowing. She opens it up to see why.

Iga considered the sign, squinting against the brightness. Grass, trees, wind, sky, clouds. Civilization. He was returned to some semblance of normalcy. The demon's words drew him out of his reverie, it seemed a semblance was all he would be offered. As the others, his book seemed to be lit from within, given the hue of the light he was ill disposed to open it again, lest the book return him to the strange purple dungeon. "Do any of you know this 'Rivertown?'

To the three of those who open their books, the light quickly fades, and a trio of... bookmarks appear tucked in between the first and second paces. On the top of them are the symbols that represent the number "10". Instinctually, you can tell both that the number is an indication of strength, and that you should place the bookmark in-between filled pages before closing the book. On the second page, after the one reading "Property of:", there are actually written words, now, in a delicate hand, with purple ink. It simply says, Cleanse that which ails Rivertown. In front of those that opened their books, bags suddenly appear, each matching the style of the attire of their respective person. Inside are some metal coins, that you can tell are currency, and nearly a half-dozen red and white spheres, that Lucas recognises as Pokéballs. Iga's book still glows. Those who opened the books, gain §1000, as well as a backpack and 5 Pokéballs.

"Cleanse that which ails Rivertown?" Superbia reads aloud "Any idea what to make of that, then? Do we just follow they bidding of these mysterious books that seem to be able to make things appear?"
He shouldered the pack, the leather being embroidered with fine patterns and the stitching being flawless, looking perfectly in place with the rest of his clothing. He shrugged "Actually, being that whoever took us here gave us these books, maybe listening to them isn't the worst idea"

Lucas stares in disbelief at the sudden appearance of the items, particularly the pokeballs that he notices inside the various bags. Not trusting them to be authentic, he takes one from the opening of the light gray school backpack in front of him and clicks the button to open the capsule in his hand. It definitely looks and feels real... Putting it into his pocket for easy access later and setting his book on the ground for a moment, the masked boy zips up the backpack that seems to be his and puts it on, simultaneously amazed and frustrated at how familiar it is. "This all feels like a cruel joke. We don't even know what will happen if we do what it says."

"What kind of sorcery is sending us quests through these strange books?...We also don't seem to have much choice as we don't know where we are either...." Ritsuko was going to continue, but seeing a bag by her feet, brought her to a halt. It was a normal looking, brown sack. Ritsuko stared at it intently. It couldn't be...She slowly bent down to grab it, and upon feeling it, she was sure. It was her old adventuring pack. She had liked it's simplicity, and its' nifty metal clasp to hold its contents safely. She hadn't seen it since...that one time....She inspected the coins, and spheres with some interest. Where had these things even come from? Magical books, familiar sacks, and unfamiliar objects. Things just seemed to get more complicated.

"IEEEEE!" Iga released a panicked shriek as bags appeared from nowhere. Having retreated two steps, he dropped his book in falling back and had his hands up defensively. A brief pause, sweat breaking out on his brow as the others rifled through these packs. The bags didn't dismember anyone, and seemed to contain goods. The books carried a new message, and with it a strip of paper. Experimentally, he opened his book at last.
As with the others, the message was the same, and the bag appeared. With an experimental nervousness, he removed the purple strip of paper from the book and used it to mark where the image of that beast had been.

As soon as Iga closes the book on the bookmark, there's a flash, and the pages almost seems to fuse shut, the bookmark still sticking out. It doesn't seem to be able to be opened any more, at any rate. Appearing on the ground in front of Iga is another one of those spheres... and then behind that, the yokai from the book, looking up at him with a expression of curiosity. It doesn't make any overtly aggressive movements, at least. Unless you count stretching as aggressive.

"Please Iga, you act as though you've never dealt with any sort of conjuration magic before. No need to shriek at some basic tricks" Superbia chuckles as the older looking man nearly trips from fright.
However he looked on with curiosity as the ninja manages to summon the beast from his book "Right, so it looks like he has figured out how to summon a puppy. Sir Albin, you said you know about these creatures. Does this indeed seem to be one of those Pokemen you spoke of? A Grow-Lithe, or what have you?" He turns to Lucas with a raised eyebrow before continuing "And what is with these strange metallic apples?"

Though Lucas is briefly alarmed by the sudden shriek, a soft smile cracks on his face, honestly amused by the older man's extreme reaction. The gentle expression quickly evaporates when Superbia addresses him with yet more questions that the boy isn't comfortable answering, especially considering that the demon lord would likely use the knowledge for nefarious reasons if given the option. However, with cooperation looking more and more necessary, Lucas decides on revealing what he knows, albeit choosing his words carefully. "Yeah, it does look like a real Growlithe. If I'm remembering right, it's a Fire type, but I don't know anything else about it other than useless trivia like what I said earlier about them being used by police officers." All of that is true, since Lucas isn't exactly familiar with the pokemon outside of portrayals in media, but he starts getting into half-truths. "The 'apples' are what we call pokeballs. They were created to carry around pokemon easily. I don't understand the full details on how it works, but basically when a pokeball touches a pokemon, the pokemon gets turned into energy, which is stored inside the pokeball as data. The button in the center lets you open the pokeball and reverse that transformation, releasing the pokemon like nothing ever happened. Pokeballs are also tied to only one pokemon at a time, so the one in front of the Growlithe must belong to it." Lucas silently prays that Superbia doesn't figure out that they can also be used to try and capture pokemon too.

Ritsuko circles around the sudden dog, and scratches her chin. "This Grow Lithe...Was it not the one pictured in your book? Your book flashed too...Do you specialize in conjuration?" Ritsuko inspects her book by opening, closing, and flipping pages.

"Conjuration? Data?" Iga queried with distinct apprehension, slowly skirting around the orange dog, trying to get at the sphere that called it without antagonizing it. It seemed interested in his movements, but remained non-aggressive.
"Magic is rare in my lands, those practitioners are schooled in the traditional five elements, honing their physical and spiritual energies, ki and chi. I have never heard either of these terms."

When the Growlithe sees that Iga seems to want the ball in front of it, it bats the sphere towards the ninja. It looks expectantly up at him, almost as though expecting the sphere to be thrown for some reason.
There's no response to Ritsuko manipulating the pages. It seems as though the bookmarks are the triggers for odd things happening.

Ritsuko inspects the book marker as it is the last thing to investigate. Doesn't seem like much, but she moves it to the page with the tiny, bulky lizard on it. These books were very mysterious, but fooling around with them did seem to hold results. Perhaps simply moving the book marker could open a world of conjuration...maybe.

"Conjuration magic is simple, it means bringing something into existence where once there was nothing like it did with the bags. Though unless the caster is especially powerful, then its really just bringing things from one place to another. It makes sense that someone who was able to trap us in an alternate dimension would be skilled in the arts of Conjuration." Superbia explained before shrugging "But I only know the basics in it, I tend to focus on Enchantment Magic, channeling my Mana through my words to make my soldier stronger, or faster, or harder to keep down. And also channeling it through myself in order to fight"
The Demon Noble turned to Lucas after his explanation and placed a bladed finger on his chin in thought "So if you tap one of these Pokemon with this Pokeball, then it gets sucked in it? Just like that? Even the Legendary ones?" He continued thinking "And you said that the ball is then tied to the Pokemon? So if you took the enemies Pokeballs, then you could take their familiars out of the fight before it even begins? Interesting"

"It won't work if the Pokemon isn't willing, and they can easily break out if they want," Lucas claims emphatically, even though he knows it isn't completely true. Starting to get nervous that Superbia will catch on to his omissions, the boy tries to change the subject to Iga. "Monsieur? That Growlithe won't hurt you, if I'm right. They're highly praised as loyal to their trainers, and since you had its picture in your book, I think you're supposed to be its trainer. In fact, it looks like it wants you to take its pokeball." Lucas kneels down to the eye-level of the orange striped puppy, which is wagging its tail and whining softly, and raises his hand out to its nose to let it sniff him. "Growlithe are also considered a sign of high status, so I'd take it as a compliment that you were given one."

Iga raised the ball in hand, then lowered it. The dog's head followed, and it licked it's chops. Side to side, the same but with panting instead. It seemed very fixated. Iga threw the ball, and the strange dog shot off after it, visibly upsetting him again. "So we have been provided a small satchel of goods, and a Pokemon guardian to attend to a trouble in a nearby village... If I understand this correctly."
Wiping his brow, he forced a smile for the assembled. "I am not so collected as you, Superbia. Nor as knowledgeable as Lucas. You will excuse my ignorance on these otherworldly and disconcerting matters?"
