Simply moving the bookmark to the page with the creature seems to have no effect on Ritsuko's book. Certainly nothing materialized like Iga's dog did.

She pauses for a moment, and shuts the book closed. Maybe she didn't have a clue how to work a book properly. Perhaps Iga could do it for her...

As the book closes, it glows and then seems to fuse shut much as Iga's did. And, like with Iga, a creature materializes in front of her, as well as a ball. The same as the one depicted in the book. While this one looks different from Iga's, it displays a similar level of curiosity.

Ritsuko stared at the brown lizard for a moment. ".....Oh...Well then...." It most definitely resembled a baby dragon up close. Not a good thing...But, it was unlike anything she had ever seen before. She kept her eyes on it as it followed her every movement from walking, to watching her move about. "It seems...placing the bookmark next to the picture...and closing it....You might get something like that Grow lithe, or....this." The tiny dragon is sniffing around, and tilts its head at Ritsuko.

Superbia watched as another creature was summoned before responding to Iga "Of course, of course. It's no fault of your own that humans tend to be weak in the mystic arts. But this..." He pulls his book out, grabbing the bookmark and flipping through to the page with the little muscular..thing..in it "This is interesting" He places the bookmark between the pages and slams the book shut

Like the books prior, Superbia's seals shut, and the humanoid pictured within appears before him, hefting a sizable piece of wood. It looks at the demon, seeming to size him up.

Lucas was about to try and console the older man about his lack of understanding when more pokemon start to appear, specifically the ones from the other two books. One of them is the familiar little dino that he struggles with remembering the name of, and the other... Well the other is probably a Fighting type, with how it looks strength-based? How does he even convey what a Fighting type is, anyway? The boy scratches his head over the thought, genuinely puzzled, as he goes back to get his book from the ground where he left it and flips it open to the page with the bird on it. With a little hesitancy on his part, Lucas eventually takes one of the bookmarks and slides it in place, carefully closing the book on it unlike Superbia.

Upon closing the book, Lucas' does the same thing as the other three. In front of him, a little green owlish bird appears, glances up... and ignores him to start pecking at the ground.

Iga watches the Growlithe collect the strange object and return it. It waited with it in its mouth, sitting at his feet and looking up at him. The human took a knee and reached a hand out, only to be gifted a slobbery Pokeball. "U-ugh..." He made a soft noise of disgust at first. "Many thanks Okami-Inu, you honor me." He reached for the Pokemon's head, to pet it as he had seen Lucas do. Worryingly it wiggled and squirmed, not rising to his touch so much as appearing greatly excited in anticipation of it. Then, it barked and licked it's nose.
Iga hesitated for a moment, pale as he firmly placed his hand atop it's head, and rubbed. This seemed to placate the beast, but it's licking of his palm caused him distress. He rose again and watched it from the corner of his eye. "We should see to this 'Rivertown' then? What plagues it at the behest of... our stories?"

For the briefest moment, Lucas's heart flutters with excitement at the sight of his new pokemon, hopeful that he can get along well with it. And then it ignores him. It's absolutely disinterested in him, unlike any of the other pokemon towards their trainers. "So that's just how it is, huh?" he whispers despondently while picking up the bird's pokeball, which it doesn't even react to, and then tapping the device on its head. Once the owl is absorbed, Lucas puts its pokeball into his pocket as well then turns towards Iga, his mask helping him keep an aloof expression on his face despite how wounded he felt. "No one knows what this Rivertown is like, right? I think I'll go ahead to check, since..." He glances at the two horned individuals who are still attempting to get used to their pokemon. "Well, it'll be safer this way. Do you want to stay here with them, monsieur?"

Superbia stared down the creature standing in front of him as it attempts to size him up "You must be my Familiar in this world. Well, Minion, I expect great things from you, as I do from all my soldiers. It is your duty to keep all of us safe, though do not worry, I will be right there beside you like any good officer should be. Now, Minion" He holds the Pokeball in front of himself towards the creature "Until I can get you a more fitting weapon, you will enter into your apple and stay there"
He turned towards Lucas with a confused look "And why exactly would it be safer? You are an unarmed child, what would you do if the town was occupied by an enemy army? Can you even defend yourself" The demon scoffed "And besides that, who's to say that humans are even the dominate species in this town? You might stand out even more than myself."

Iga watched how Lucas put his bird in the strange metal container and followed suit. Aha! There was no risk of being eaten should he fall, if the Growlithe could not see him! His expression was a little less somber and concerned then it had been. "Superbia has the right of it. All four books gave the same instruction, it was not two go, and two remain. If you should wish, when we have view of 'Rivertown' I will take stock of it before a final approach. It is the sort of thing I am trained for."

Flinching from the belittlement, Lucas realizes that he has no answer. What is he doing, thinking that he can just disappear with an excuse like he always does when he wants to be alone? This isn't Kalos. He doesn't know anything about this place or why he's here with these strange people who don't know about pokemon or how to get back home, and he goes and offers to run off by himself to somewhere unknown when he's easily the weakest one of the four. "Sorry. You're right. It was stupid to say," the masked boy apologizes quietly to Superbia as he pulls his hoodie over his head.

Ritsuko follows the example put by the others, and is able to get the pokemon away in its' ball. She lets out a sigh, and looks to the others. This may be a new place, she wouldn't have a reputation out there, and being able to reintegrate into society would be nice....That last part, and Ritsuko's courage would need work. "With our current situation, sticking together should be a plan, but walking into a town....I'm ok with joining you till the city gates...."

As the younger boy shrunk into his hood, Superbia shook his head "Nonsense. It was an idea, which is more than we had been giving at the time. It's never dumb to give an idea, only to act on one without input from others. Iga and Ritsuko make good points as well, about us having the same goal, so sticking together is in all of our best interests." He looked Lucas and Iga over for a second "With the hat and the hood, I can see how you might be able to blend in no matter the inhabitants of this Rivertown. I'll stick back with Ritsuko if you both wanted to preform some light Recon on the village, see if it is in immediate danger after all."
Turning his attention back to his Pokemon, that was still visible, he held out the Pokeball once more "Minion, I said to enter the apple. You'll stick out more than the rest of us, what with you being naked and unable to speak. The apple will be far safer for you until I can change one of those two things." Superbia tapped the beast on the head, hoping it wouldn't immediately break out like Lucas had warned him it could.

"We go then." Iga confirmed in his usual short manner of speaking, following the instruction of the sign with the Pokeball now concealed in his sleeve. If these Pokemon were some manner of tool for their disposal, then whatever being's hand now guided their actions must have intended it's use towards that end. Why he, and these three, was something the man wasn't entirely sure of, but feeling the ground beneath his geta again was a simple thing to be thankful for, and he was.
"Once the village is in view, best you not be, lest someone with better eyesight then I notices we are four become two, and becomes suspicious."

Lucas nods silently at the forming plan, still ashamed but no longer berating himself. Before they get going, the boy pulls back his hood briefly to loosen the ribbon of his mask and take it off. He surprisingly feels a little naked without the disguise, but shoves it into his backpack all the same. He knows it won't be any help at the moment, since the dark and bold design clashes with his plain light clothes, which would make him stand out even while covering up his face.

With the group having reached... a semblance of a consensus, at least, they head off for the town. After walking for a fairly short time, some single and double storey buildings come into view. They look fairly familiar to Lucas, if a rather older style of house, with sidings, shingles, picket fences and the like. They're rather alien to any dwellings the others are used to, though.
There's nobody in sight as the buildings are approached, nor any walls or gates or guards... just a sign to the right of the road. It reads "Welcome to Rivertown."

"What strange pagodas." Iga commented, hardly breaking stride as he kept to the fore. He didn't look around as much as he perhaps should have, but there would be no fitting in here in the garments he wore. He would be as a foreigner here. Immediately a sense of abandonment struck him, though the place appeared intact not a soul walked the streets. No samurai protected its roads.
"I do not feel your unusual appearances will merit any additional attention. Anyone in the streets will draw notice here. Odd."

Ritsuko scanned the empty streets, quiet buildings, and had a bit of an uneasy feeling. The sun was still out, and nobody walked the streets? Despite the strange houses, nothing seemed out of the ordinary... "....Perhaps a meeting in the center of town has drawn people away from us...Maybe two of us continue down the main path into town, and the other two search the alley ways out of sight...Even a knock on someone's door might give us some information..."
