The marines fall like dominoes, leaving only the two pistol-wielders to brave the group of nascent renegades. However while the men are downed their mon only seem to become more incensed and ready to battle. The Spearow screams in fury at the copycat Chatot before launching its own Fury Attack once again, this time attempting to tear through the Timburr in its way to punishing the move thief. It's raging attack however only lands two solid blows against Alba. [Alba takes 23 Physical Normal damage]
The Meditite, left bereft of orders, runs towards the sound of fury. Seeing Alba out of the smoke, it attempts another confusion, the air rippling as the psychic energies warp through it. Alba is struck right in the temple, eyes going glassy as confusion takes hold of her mind. [Alba takes 22 Special Psychic damage. Alba is confused!]
The Aipom looks back into the cloud of roiling darkness as a standard issue Marine blade comes skittering out, falling over the side into the water. With a cry of anger it rushes into the cloud once more, attempting to smash the heart of the darkness with a wispy outline of blue flame on its tail. It darts through the fog, attempting to bypass the shapes that rear up in front of it searching for the center... A blast of sound and a heavy fist both strike the mon, but it moves forward doggedly... and finds the center of the darkness. Letting out a high scream, it whips its tail forward, slashing at Io's back with ghostly energies. [Io takes 25 physical ghost damage]
The Marine on the far side of the swirling cloud of darkness hears his mates drop, one by one. The barrel of his pistol is wavering to the point of uselessness, and at Aikan's cry his morale breaks. He takes off running, screaming at the top of his lungs. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!! PIRATES ON THE DOCKS!!! BACKUP, WE NEED BACKUUUUUUUP!!!
Able to hear the marine C.C. runs in the general direction until he suddenly escapes the darkness. He quickly looks to see where the marine is. He hesitates briefly, not wanting to show off just how special his weapon really was. Seeing a figure barely recognizable, but definitely having something to do with Io pursuing the marine strengthened his resolve. He began to play, allowing both the violin and the bow to resonate with energy and took aim at the marine. Pointing the tip of the bow at the marine he released the resonating energy in the form of a beam of light.
31 Special Normal Damage and lowered Sp.D 1 cs (effect triggers on 20+ and effect range increases by +1 for each target and an additional 2 for EC Normal for arcane training allowing it to trigger on 17+)
The Marine's screaming cuts off in a choked gasp as the streaking bullet of bark fur rips into his calves, followed by the brilliant beam of white light punching through his shoulder. He drops to the ground, twitching and silent, but still breathing.
The growlithe that had been by his side turns to trace back the path of the beam that had dropped its trainer, snarls and then charges forward, clamping onto CiCi's leg with feroucious force. [CiCi takes 26 Physical Dark Damage and is flinched]
The Marine that Aikan had kicked recovered quickly, dropping the pistol and drawing a blade with a practiced flourish. He slashes at the fishman, eyes alight with fervor. "You'll never escape the justice of the Marines!" [Aikan takes 20 Normal Physical damage]
Raúl had sensed something moving through the darkness earlier and now tried his best to listen for the telltale movements again. Hearing the noises of something close he lashed out with a low sweeping kick.
The Oddish, seeing Callisto attacking a Marine, frowns before waddling forward. Its bulb-like body swelled... before it sprayed out a misting of acid, settling onto the Zorua and seeping beneath her protective fur to eat at the skin and tender spots on her face. [Callisto takes 29 special poison damage]
The Spearow falls with an abruptly cut-off cry, landing on the dock in a sodden mass of feathers thanks to Alba spiking it into the ground. As the battle continues to rage, one of the mooring lines suddenly goes slack, before slithering out of its port hole, and falling away from the ship, a clean cut at the end before it vanishes into the water.
Callisto yelps in pain as the acid eats away at her skin. Io immediately turns over to see the situation but frowns as the Aipom doesn't look like it'll let her get away easily. Lashing out with a darkly blazing kick, she hopes to down the Aipom. After the attack, she disengages from the Pokemon, moving south.
C.C. cries in pain and surprise as the small dog like creature bit into his leg. Paulie quickly takes flight and flies in the direction of C.C.'s cry. Paulie lands near the small fiery being and attempts to strike it firmly with it's beak.
The Aipom goes down hard thanks to the unexpected attack, hitting the dock so forcefully it practically bounces! The Meditite, seeing a Marine being menaced by an obvious lawbreaker, changes its focus and goes to aid the marine instead, targeting Aikan with a powerful mental blast! Unfortunately for the the mon, Aikan is able to see the distortion in the air caused by the otherwise undetectable spike of psychic energy, and jukes to the side to avoid it.
The Marine grins as he moves to take advantage of the Fishman's distraction... only for his eyes to widen comically in surprise as he's suddenly pulled off his feet and splashes into the water! A long oddly shiny rope, thick as a finger, drapes downwards from a porthole on the ship the group is attempting to commandeer, the other end lost in the water, but likely having been the cause of the Marine's sudden swim! There's a yelp and much thrashing, the Marine out of the fight for the moment as he tries to find something to cling to in order to begin climbing back up.
The Growlithe, hurt and angered by the attack of the avian, snarls and lets go of CiCi's leg, turning and lunging to clamp down on Paulie's wing. He doesn't manage to do as much damage as his prior attack at least, not stunning the poor fowl, but it's still painful. [Growlithe used Bite - AC 2: 13; Physical Dark Damage:22]

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
