Being ridiculously underdressed now Nyko can't help but feel pretty exposed, vulnerable, and really really embarrassed regardless of her instinct to do whatever it takes to live. Her face is now locked in a deep blush and she squirms uncomfortably aware that she's hardly hiding anything no matter how hard she tries...
Pushing her self consciousness from her mind and focusing on her perilous situation the first thing Nyko tries is holding the crystal up to the light or looking at its shadow hoping the refraction of light through it would reveal some sort of clue or message if she turned it right. Its a quick and pretty obvious move considering the crystal and sun are the same color.
Failing that she tries following her gut and looks around for something dissimilar... following this train of thought she telekinetically draws the beach ball towards her and examines it if necessary
All it took was a bit of leaning on the chair and it fell apart, Marshall barely being able to stop himself from falling over. Regardless, he looked over to the crumpled mess that was now the chair. He doesn't have a scabbard or anything, so he'd have to hold a weapon in his hands if he wanted one. Thus, he left them on the ground for until he either needed it or they had secured an escape route. "Why make a chair if it cannot hold a person's weight?"
So he looked back, trying to pay as little mind to the nudity, focusing intently on the ball, looking at the ball and only the ball. Not having much to do other than bursting it, though, he quickly diverted his attention everywhere, looking around to see if they missed anything. This numbness was irritating, but it didn't seem that bad - in fact, he didn't seem to have such great issue. He rarely ever needed peak precision in his movements, anyway. Maybe he'd take off the chain mail later - it has done its' part well.
Marshall, for the most part, you strike out. The island is still shrinking, but besides the beach ball, nothing really stands out to you. Most likely you're having such a hard time because you can't really look in one direction.
Nyko, as you look at the island and your limited selection of things to interact with, your mind starts stretching to some of the most vague things that might be relevant. The only thing it comes up with is that the island had a pair of people, a pair of chairs, and... a pair of spheres. The bell and the ball. Hell, even their names are similar. You found the crystal inside the bell, maybe it's time to look inside the ball? Couldn't hurt.
Marshall's lack of helpfulness leads nyko to believe he's distracted by... well... her... can't really blame the guy but desperate times call for desperate measures... not that it helps her feel any less embarrassed. She did wish she was reading his mind in order to be pleasantly surprised by his discipline in not thinking about her state of undress, but on the other hand in the likely even that he was she didn't want to find out...
Taking a deep breath and focusing again Nyko draws back the pried open bell and then accelerates the bell pointed part first at the beach ball hoping to puncture it.
The ball pops and deflates. Inside the ball sits a very similar crystal to the one you're currently holding, except this one is pink with a blue core. You'll have to find it first though. After that? Well, that's up to you.
Putting her back to Marshall Nyko quickly reaches into the deflated ball and pulls the other crystal out before crossing her arms back over her chest again. She then fiddles with the two crystals and tries to figure out how they are supposed to interact by doing things like touching them together and lining them up to look through both cores at once, etc... really it's beginning to feel like she's grasping at straws here but what else can she do?
Nyko fiddles with the crystals, trying to figure out what the crystals are. It only takes you a few moments to realize that these crystals are the exact same substances as the ever shrinking ground. They're sugar crystals, rock candy. What are you supposed to do with these?
Nyko, as you dip the candies into the surf, they dissolve in an instant. A moment later, two globs of green liquid begin the rise out of the ocean, one coated in a blue light, the other surrounded in a pink light. They hang there for a moment, glowing, and you feel like they're about to do something. Whatever they're going to do, you get the distinctive feeling that you messed up. You only have a few second to decide what you're going to do next, as the island shrinks to only a few feet across. You're going to be in the green liquid very soon, unless you act now.
Marshall finally got the courage he needed to look at the naked woman for a moment, noticing the candies right before they're tossed into the ocean. As the globs rose up, however, he was shocked once more - just what was going on now!? What were those things she just tossed in there? "What did you just do?!" Standing between the cat-girl and the globs, he picked up a metal rod, holding it as a weapon, and tried to see if there was anything to those globs other than the light. However the steadily sinking island didn't evade his notice now. He didn't want to do this, but when there's no where left to go... He threw his chain-mail off, holding it like an ineffective shield - now his torso was uncovered by the numbing brew, but his legs were still affected - not like it'd matter in a moment, considering. "If you really don't want to touch that liquid, climb on top of me!"

"I-i don't know they were made of sugar and the brew was dissolving the sugar so i thought that was what we were supposed to do!" She exclaims as she realizes how bad she just screwed up. She would have an issue with Marshall looking in her general direction but desperate times call for desperate measures so she suppresses it and does what the crusader says... Well sorta she's floating on top of him rather than sitting...
As you both make your preparations to sink into the void, the two blobs of blue and pink that you have been mostly ignoring suddenly dart towards the both of you. You have nearly no time to react before the blue blob envelops Marshall and the pink one envelops Nyko. As you both (presumably) struggle against the viscous fluid, you both feel yourselves being propelled upwards at an alarming pace. Almost sickening, even.
So, I'm gonna ask you guys to hold here for a minute. Welch is almost done with his section, and after that he will be joining you here, as well as a mysterious new ally that is totally not a gm pc. Well, hopefully they won't feel like one, and we'll see how long they stick with the group. Feel free to post reactions though!

Nyko can't help but feel that maybe taking her catsuit off to avoid the numbing fluid was an embarrassingly unnecessary over reaction afterall... not that she can dwell on this for long though what with the fact that she is completely submerged in this fluid with a real risk of drowning...
Marshall, Nyko, one moment you feel yourselves being propelled through the air. The next moment, there is a bright flash of light, and you suddenly find yourselves standing fully clothed, goo free, on... another island. Well, that's being a bit generous with the term. A more appropriate way to put it would be: Holy crap we're on a giant chunk of rock floating in the sky for no apparent reason what the hell is going on. On the bright side, you seem to both be fully clothed again. As you take a look around, the island seems rather unremarkable. There are 4 pedestals, evenly spaced out from each other. You two take up two of them, and one is currently unoccupied. On the fourth, there seems to be an unconscious man in a duster lying off to one side. A small creature that looks to be made of ice is attempting to nudge him awake giving a quiet "Berg... Berg..." as it does so. In his hand is a red and white spherical object.
Inky-grey of near unconsciousness. Chanting. Someone screaming for help. Rope on the wrists. Twisting. Anger. Charging.
Welch stirs on an unfamiliar cold ground. He hears his phone alarm going off, but like it's far away. Very light and soft. Wait, didn't he change it to an actual song instead of a tone? His eye flits open to see an icy-blue creature prodding him. The Bergmite.
He carefully lifts himself, now very sore from the blast, and groggy from whatever knocked him out. There's a small pain on the base of his neck he can feel.
"Oh that's great. I friggin love it. Remote injectors as 'well' as the ability to shock you. Obviously monitors as well. THAT'S JUST-"
He pauses, thinking that screaming is just going to scare the Bergmite he just saved, and probably does no good other than venting his frustrations out. No, better to keep them. Vent them out on the first a-hole you can punch behind this. Break a lot of bones, then start asking why. If they'd be conscious at that point. He looks down to the Bergmite, probably looking a bit puzzled.
"Sorry, little Berg. Here."
Welch goes to pick the pokemon up, and notices he has the pokeball nearly in a deathgrip in his hands.
So they left me this then? What's their end-game here?
As he thinks, he picks the Bergmite up in his open hand, and holds it close. It's cold, but hell, it's been through a lot. Some affection is needed, even if it's from someone as gruff as him. He gives a glare to the pokeball again, wondering if it's empty or if it's for the Bergmite here. However, he glances up, and sees his new prison. Being a giant rock in the freaking sky. Again... What. He scans around him, and Hunter is nowhere to be seen.
"Shit, where'd they take the kid? Hunter? HUNTER!"
That's when he finally takes in the other two on the other side of this 'island'. He tenses up, defensively, holding the Bergmite close. It and him are both hurt, and they aren't ready to take on two strangers without any backup. Without a feral buddy backing him up, things didn't look good. Perhaps they weren't aggressive, but ice literally exploded in his face just a moment before so... Anything goes. He looks at the pokeball in his hands. He takes a moment to stare at it, trying to see if it's an empty and fresh one, or one with something he could throw out. He makes sure to keep his eyes on the other two, to watch for movement.
Nyko gasps for breath at first cause her brain thought she was drowning a moment ago but as she coughs and beats her hand against her chest as if hacking up a furball like cats do she realizes something important aside from the fact that she is still alive. She has clothes!
"Nya-aaaaaay!" She cries hugging the cat suit that covers her body once more as she does a twirl. Sure if she had a choice she'd want some civilian clothes since this is form fitting scandalous criminal attire meant to be worn in the dark where people can't see you but after what just happened who cares?
Nyko is a bit to caught up in catsuit appreciation to dwell on her surroundings this very moment though after psychedelic candyland of death she probably wouldn't be to shocked by this place anyway.
Finally she isn't actually coordinated enough to "twirl" so any observer would quickly notice that she's cheating a little and levitating as she spins in place and makes happy cat noises.
After watching the blobs intently, Marshall soon got a face full of goo as they charged him, being lifted far upwards as he tried to move and harm the odd force to no avail - he'd need a REAL weapon sometime. And now, here he was again, wearing all his worn clothes and rusty armor in... A field? 'Had my allies rescued me in my sleep?' He looked around hopefully, finding no fellow crusaders in sight, instead finding pedestals and... They were on an island again, except this time, it was not even in water. "Where's the water? What is this trickery now?! Are these more Ordinian tricks?!" ...No reply. The crusader sighed - of course this oddity wouldn't end here.
Looking around further, he found his peculiar cat-like companion, levitating as she always had and confirming that the previous mess wasn't just a fever dream. He was considering asking how she's doing the impossible once more, but then he heard another's cry for someone. While he initially pointed his makeshift weapon at said unknown person, he believed that it couldn't be someone against their righteous gods, as were he an enemy, he would know full well what happened to their brethren, if he lived still, for they kept no prisoners - even if they do not believe, better they go to the God of Death than stay bound needlessly. Still, he shouted to get his full attention, slowly attempting to get off the pedestal, closer to the one in the duster. Unlike Welch, he had no reservations about scaring the Berg. "You, fellow man! What do you know about this place?" That said, the creature close by threw him off as soon as he noticed it, making him wordlessly shift his pointing from the man to the Berg shortly. "And what's this... Creature?"
Welch, as you pick up the small Bergmite, it seems to happily cuddle into you, seeming to be very happy that you're awake. It gives a happy little "Berg, berg!" and falls silent, seemingly happy. As you examine the pokeball, you very quickly determine that there is already a pokemon inside, and it doesn't seem to want to open for you. Perhaps it's not intended for you at all?
As you all stand, beginning to discuss and introduce yourselves, the fourth, unoccupied pedestal begins glowing with a blue light and a high pitched whine fills the area. There's a bright flash, and the noise disappears. On the pedestal stands a man, but a man that's a bit different than any of you have ever seen before. Most of his features are average, average height, average build with a bit of muscle on his frame, average looking clothes, just a plain t-shirt and jeans. Then, there are the things that are slightly off, pale skin that's just a little too pale to be natural, green tinted hair with a teal stripe down the middle, and blood red eyes with tall cat-like pupils. Then, there's the blatantly wrong. His arms have a very wrong shape. At his elbows, a long spike protrudes, following his arm upwards, reaching a sharp point at the same level as his shoulders. The outside of his arms that aren't the spike seems to be made of a hardened plate. Welch, to you, it looks like someone made a fusion between a Gallade and a human. What the hell?
He looks at you three, wiping something red and suspiciously like blood from his arm blades, and steps off the pedestal with a relatively unimpressed look on his face. When he opens his mouth, the sarcasm oozes out. "Oh, I'm sure I'm going to love working with all of you."
Perturbed by the locked pokeball, but with other pressing matters on his mind and a locked ball not helping it; Welch puts the ball away in one of his many inner-pockets.
As Marshall takes a step forward and points his weapon, Welch takes a step back.
Alright, so what do we have here? A girl who sounds like she might be part-skitty, who's practically ignored this whole situation. We'll come back to THAT one in a bit. Right now the nutcase waving the pole at me is my concern.
Welch eyes the man down. A chainmail shirt and an outfit like he's part of some historical-
Wait. Plasma went all mid-evil when they re-emerged years ago. Swinging swords and pole-axes around like friggin knights. Never encountered them myself, they've never done anything inside my city, but he certainly looks the part. And did he just refer to Berg as a 'creature'? Fits any of these groups human-superior attitude, alright.
"This ain't no 'creature', Jack. This here Bergmite I had to just save from a melting death from hands of some nutcase like you. And I ain't about to let you or your jacked up on catnip friend over there try anything. I'll-"
Before Welch can finish his enraged thought, the last pedestal lights up and a half-Gallade walks through. Welch's face turns from anger to surprise, and then back to anger. He turns back to Marshall.
"Hey bud, you want to fight an actual 'creature', there you go. Half-pokemon hybrids were never supposed to happen. Even after 'Two'. Pretty much everyone sane agreed that it shouldn't happen, EVER. So he's probably dangerous too. Have at it."
Welch attempts to move to the side, and let the two of them take each other out.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
