Every few centuries the various domains and kingdoms of Leshara perform a ceremony of sorts, a way to keep diplomacy and peace between each of the races. As an act of diplomacy, one person from each land is sent on a journey around Leshara to visit each of the eight racial capitals of the world and make themselves known, prove to each why their race is still key in this world, and obtain badges of honour to take back to their homelands.
You are one of these diplomats, ambassadors of sorts. Whether you're here because you're the up and coming smooth talker, or the fighter everyone has their eyes on, or the most caring of their Pokemon, you'll be turning up at Pinecliffe, a small city with a large history. There are eight ambassadors, but you will be part of a team of three to head out into the wilds, taking Pokemon under your wings and focusing on your goal, to do your race proud.
Leshara is a large world and is full of life, Pokemon thrive and some regions have flourished. It hosts many types of lands, from deserts to wastelands, or flourishing forests and vast valleys. there are plenty of towns and villages and small cities around the world, but there are eight well known locations where each race can consider their capitol. There are still problems, there are lesser races trying to get the upper hand, or banditry, to sigifican figures who are trying gain power for whatever purposes they require. There are cults, there are churches. Legendary Pokemon are looked at with a sense of awe in some races eyes, and less so in others. These are not limited to the typical legendary pokemon, but spiritual ancestors and legends.
The method of capturing Pokemon isn't consistent across the world. There are apricorn balls that some races have shared the secret to making. There ar gemstones mined and enchanted to capture the creatures, there are even totems made from the wood of certain trees that a Pokemon can be bound to. Many methods are out there.
This is a thread I'll be using to store all the information of the world, once I've chosen the three players and thus races, all eight main races and hubs will be up here, alongside notable characters and features.

Core RacesThis will be a comprehensive list of the eight core races, four of which being the PC races and the other four. The Chimeric Confederation - Represented by Eli DrakenforgedThe Orcs - Represented by Tarkuul the Ice WardenThe Libellans - Represented by Cecily RenataThe Warforged - Represented by VaidosThe Fey - Represented by Silas ObervaldThe Slad'ran - Represtened by HethissThe Gillmen - Represented by ShaoloThe Rakshasa - Represented by VidishevaThe Rakshasa A truly evil soul will be reincarnated into a Rakshasa, this is a fact. For centuries the Rakshasa were initially evil forces through Leshara, mostly working on their own to fuel deeds of greed and grandeur. The rules change, however, and many seek a change. The Rakshasa today still clutch onto old ideals, but understand that to live in the world, to truly be a part of it, there must be some peace. Rakshasa believe that each and every creature in the universe has a proper role to play, and that success comes from understanding one's position and working to improve it. Under this ideal, they have castes, from lowest to greatest, Pagala (traitors), Adhura (novices), Darshaka (servants), Paradeshi (rakshasa-kin), Hakima (lords), and Samrata (lords of lords). There is also an old caste, Goshta (food), however that has been since near eradicated in polite conversation. Rakshasa take on the form of humanoids but with the head of animals, usually tigers, although crocodiles and similar are not unheard of. They are shapeshifters however, and can appear to be any race of even copy the features of a person. However, whatever form they are in, they are given away in that their hands are always facing backwards. They work alongside Psychic Pokemon, Alakazam for instance help in great libraries that the Rakshasa have attempted to amass. They enjoy knowing things, no matter how small, from how magic works to the tiniest secrets one keeps from their parents. They write the scrolls of TMs. Hypno are said to help them as well, and Persians are proudly part of a high society. A Rakshasa is born in the world when an evil soul dies, thrown into the body of an unborn infant so that when it is born, it is born as a Rakshasa. This usually doesn't happen to good and happy families, but it does lead to Rakshasa agents roaming the land ready to take n newborns and teach them the new ways. Not everyone conforms, of course. One thing that has stuck is that the Rakshasa don't view the legendaries as anything to be worshipped, at least, not any more than their own Hakima and Samrata. The Gillmen Humans did once roam the land, and there are still tribes and clans hidden away, or bands of brigands that hit the roads. Some escaped to the seas. They say the Kyogre warped a city of drowning humans after part of the land slipped into the ocean suddenly, and the Gillmen. Physically gillmen have expressive brows, pale skin, dark hair, and bright purple eyes. Three slim gills mark each side of their necks, near the shoulder. They still serve Kyogre, even if the Pokemon hasn't been seen since it's apparent act, forming coastal towns and undersea cities, going so down below that there are a breed of Deep Sea Gillmen, swimming with Lanturn. The pores of gillmen continuously ooze a thin, clear mucus that protects their skin from salt water, which dries and begins to crack if the gillmen are out of the water for too long. As such, they keep to water trading. They form bonds with other sea pokemon and Malamar seem to be one that is seen the most. They secure water routes as much as possible, and make fantastic crew on and around ships at sea. The Fey There are many different kinds of fae, from Redcaps to Gnomes to Pixies, and they all have their places in the world, but a long time ago, the lords and ladies all came together and decided that chaos wasn't an option, there needed to be a sense of order for the fey world. Built on promises, a thing not to be taken lightly in Fey affairs, the Fey game became a political one. No Fey would dare tell a lie, they cannot, but they will manipulate the truth to get to the ends of their goals. There are a number of Houses, each with their own goals and aims, but they will come together to court for matters of great importance. Gnomes are the most common fey seen out of the cities an in foreign lands, usually jovial and eager to see the world, these gnomes take on varying forms, a glamour makes them seem like short humanoids, like halflings, but under this glamour they looks like distroted creature made from natural material. This isn't to say that all Fey stick to their home. Fey must seek out new things, for if they go too long without something new in their lives, they will slowly become Unseelie, delving into darkness and weakness, and prime bait to be taken out of the picture by underlings. This usually makes such Fey cynical and bitter. Fey pick Pokemon who have some control over the weather, as well as Florges, Gardevoir and a distinct lack of Dragons. There is a tree guarded by some of the Lords and Ladies who've lived the longest, said to be Xerneas, slumbering. The Slad'ran The Slad'ran shot up in Gussrak, banding together with a mix of poisons and rituals to an aztecal styled Zygarde, they fought any race on the land that attempted to challenge them, subjugating them into service to build their great cities. The jungle mixes with swamps, providing interesting potion and alchemy trade utilising the Pokemon at their disposal, some beneficial, others not. Arbok is a fairly common sight, alongside Crobat and Ariados. This is represented in their great city where a massive version of one of these Pokemon sit. Ula-tek, the Arbok, Hir'eek, the Crobat and Shadra, the Spider. These act as guides and guardians of the Slad'ran, and have been alive, growing, since the uprising of their race, if the Elders are to be believed.
Although the Slad'ran are more peaceful than their ancestors in recent days, they still take on slaves of the lesser races. It develops problems with opinions at times, however Slad'ran will claim that their slaves are taken on out of choice, and that they will happily let those who wish to leave do so. The problem being a lot of the leser races still believe the way they are treated in Slad'ran cities is better than the life they'd lead trying to survive in the wilds of Gussrak.
The race is distantly related to the Naga in the Chimeric Confederation, and opinions of this change from person to person, however a general feeling is that the Naga aren't looked at favourably by the Slad'ran. Despite sharing a long lost heritage, Slad'ran feel they've risen to a glory and have lived up to their ancestors, unlike the Naga.

Lesser Races
This will be a list of the lesser races in the world, where they are not recognised as the 'ruling races' of the world, they have their place, in little settlements or tribes, or surviving in the wild.
Humans - Once an ancient race, the humans made their way in the world, enslaving other races for their own ends and building an empire. This empire fell, and now there are pockets of humans in the world, small towns and brigand groups, but nothing substantial. They will ally themselves with other lesser races, however.
Aarakoa and the Syrinx - Two races of winged, feathered humanoids. The former seems to be in the majority, an Aarakoa can be spotted in most parts of the world, scavenging, spying, gathering information. The Syrinx are a higher caste in the ranks, and where the Aarakoa vary in their appearances, the Syrinx are likened to Barn Owls. Barely a Syrinx is seen, by the White Noctowl they work with can be spotted rarely, signalling they are nearby, and they are interested in the goings on.
Cyclopean - There are a number of small tribes of Cyclopean's that typically keep to the deserts of Leshara. They have a reputation of being typically monstrous in nature, selfish and disorganised, and many roam on their own with few Pokemon they form a real bond with. Hippowdon seem to be usual partners. Others manage to unlock an innate power in their bloodlines for an affinity for Oracle magic. With their predictions, long life and a little hubris, they form small cults of other lesser races to cater to them. They have very specific Golurks with a rather grim history.
Djinni - A grey to white skinned race, with faces like plain fauns and curved forward facing horns, the Djinni are a peaceful race known for dancing through the air. A Djinni is ddexterous and patient, a pinnacle of grace that more often than not, just wishes to be left alone. Unfortunately, the waters that make up their lakes put off the effects of aging, and enhance certain traits in different people, they say your strongest abilities would shine through for swimming in such luxury. This has resulted in many attempted invasions of their lands, but, with their own dancing combat and being allied with Dewgong, Kindra and Swanna, they fight off attackers with ease.
Frost Giants - The North is hardly a safe place as it is, with hail and biting ice, but some can be unlucky enough to encounter the Frost Giants. Fighting alongside Beartic, northern Mighteyna and Abomasnow, they rally forces and occasionally lead small attack on [core race] settlements. There's a notable leader of the Frost Giants, Svalkyr Frosthunger, who seems to be rallying her fellow frost giants. For what cause, it's not known, and what's more those who have seen her in a skirmish claim she's immortal.
Elves and Drow - Results of Fey mating with other races, the Elves are born during the Spring and Summer months, where the Drow are born between Autumn and Winter. Both races make their own ways in the world, and it is more than common to spot them in various towns and places, doing their own thing more than being part of a joint community. They are rare creatures, said to live for a long time. As such, the Pokemon they ally with are fairly varied, and to claim that either Elves or Drow have common Pokemon is to have seen very few Elves or Drow.
Fetchlings - Creatures in the shadows who've operated more as mercenaries for all of the races than anything else. Their homeland is drenched in secrecy and some believe that they, alongside the Misdreavus and Rock Pokemon they bring with them, come from a city deep below the ground. They are similar to humans, but slender and lithe with pale or grey skin and glowing yellow eyes. They say that Seratus, a noable Fetchling, was hired to kill the last king of [non PC core race], and has tamed a ghostly Arbok.
Goblins - Small and plentiful in the wilds, to say that they're disorganised is putting it lightly. Small tribes fight amongst each other and any passers by, and to find one tribe that's lasted enough time for a chieften to be put in charge is a rare sight. The Foreststomper Tribe is one such tribe, living in high trees to the west and jumping down on lost adventurers and traders with spikes at the bottom of their feet as Pineco slide down the trunks to cause disorientation by exploding.
Gnolls - They run around in packs across plains alongside Mighteyna and Growlithe, and although there are many clans between them, most agree on the worship of the Mother of the Howl, a spiritual Mighteyna that they believe birthed their race to spite [core race]. Gnaff Firefang is a significant figure across the clans and most cities have heard of him and his blazing Arcanine.
Kobolds - Small reptilian creatures known for forming small clans on the worship of Dragon Pokemon and have an affinity for traps. Clans seem to favour certain Pokemon, the Clackers use their Klink and Klang to help make traps work properly whereas the Firebelcher Clan work with similarly looking Charmeleon to blow fire.
Thorix - These bee-like humanoids coming in various shapes and sizes, their abilities ranging equally in terms of specialization. They are born into society in the hilly landscapes that are made up of their hives, and sorted into specilizations, where they are assigned a "Mother and Father". They are bred exclusively by those of the Queens, which are a select group chosen via Oracles who put their faith in Celebi to choose ample Queens. There are other jobs in the hives, and most of all there is the production of honey. Sweet Honey is the most common export but there are a number of different honeys the Thorix can create, especially those that imbue the drinker with temporary supernatural qualities and drug effects. It can be addicting, and some use the honey as a means to enslave and enthrall servants. They ally themselves with Combee and Vespiquen for obvious reasons, working with their honey, but Sudowoodo act as hidden guards whilst Dwebble move parts of the hive, slowly, and securely. Dugtrio and Sandshrew move around their hives, helping make tunnels in exchange for honeys. Society is a mix between Queens, Seers and Soldiers, but everyone works on the honey.
Ghoran - During the Always War [pending], Magic got flung around and one result of this was the Ghoran. Animated plants were created by some Wyld Fey, more in an attempt to help villages grow new crops and keep them safe during the wars, but the Ghoran took some of the similar ambient energy that evolves the Pokemon, and grew into new forms. The Ghoran these days take two forms, either the peaceful, still helpful humanoid forms, with vague faces that look like carved masks in leaves, or the Rosedemons, twisted by the malevolent magic in the world and roaming around the land, taking Pokemon and manipulating them with spores and similar to fight a war that has long been finished, and a side they've since forgotten.
Tieflings - Humans that made pacts with Heatran long ago have had a crrupt bloodline ever since. Horned devils thy have become, working with molten magic and metals to create black steel, fortresses made from the stuff. They have different houses, although it's not down to families as it is ideals, seven houses for seven sins around the world. Pokemon vary, but the house of Pride claims to know how to bring Heatran back into the world, if they felt so inclined. A fear of this has lead to a few of the races steering clear of Tiefling involvement.

The world of Leshara is split. Lorjin is the largest continent and holds the majority of the races of the world, spread out far and wide. Delrotta is a close second and still hosts a vast number of races. Gussrak, to the south, is mostly Swamp lands and the Slad'ran take up the majority of it, going so far as to claim the large island nearby it, without actually having settlements on it. Blightice is a cold and desolate place, with barely any life. Turran is mostly inhabited by the forces of the Rakshasa and Shul is a central island, used for peaceful talks more than anything. Strangely enough, Pinecliffe is not on such an island, and is instead towards the lower eastern coast of Lorjin.
Colourwise, Pink = Fey, Red = Rakshasa, Cyan = Gillmen and Green = Slad'ran. Yellow = Chimeric Confederation, Orange = Warforged, Blue = Orcs and Purple = Libellans.
